In light of everything that's been happening lately... [ Which is a weird outlook for her to have, but she's actually feeling mildly excited about this... If not for herself, but for Peeta's sake. Either way, she's in a decent mood for once. And she'd love to help lighten the mood... Also for once. ] Peeta and I are starting to plan our wedding. Something simple, nothing too lavish.

[ She takes a deep breath, because she wants to ask Effie, but she knows that Effie will try to make it into something far more grand than she's looking for. ] I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me look for a dress.

Private to Rue ;

I've heard some wedding traditions include a younger girl who drops flowers for the wedding party. Would you? [ There's something in her voice that cracks a little, and she's welled up with emotion for a moment... Because Rue, and flowers. ]

Private to Peeta ;

You aren't allowed to see the dress until the day of the ceremony. If I bring one home, you can't use the closet until it's covered up.

So who wants to try some cake samples and tell me which ones tastes the best.

[The video shows a variety of squares on little plates: chocolate and lemon and red velvet. Most have just a pearly white icing, but a few have candied flower petals, or colorful little sugar bubbles.]

It's spring, and there's already been talk of one wedding, so I figured I'd better up my game.

[Peeta's quiet for a moment, but there's an embarrassed little smile on his lips, and something in his eyes that suggests he has more to say.]

That reminds me, I might've joked with a few of you that I'm married. I'm actually not - not really. But all I could think about while I was baking is what kind of cake she'd want at her real wedding.

I've watched this girl my entire life, and I can't even guess which one she'd choose. But then I realized that I could find out. And I could give it to her too.

[Private to Katniss]

So...what do you think? We could do it for real here.

A lot of people ask about the gods when they get here and they keep talking about them after, too. It made me think. We don't have any gods where I'm from, but we have a government.

Mr. Odin is the one who keeps things running here, so he's kind of like the President Snow of Asgard. [Rue frowns.] Except...nicer. Some people in Panem like the government, some people don't. Some people here like the gods, and some people don't. [It's a match! Kind of.] I kind of realized I don't really know a lot about the governments in everybody else's world, and now I'm really, really curious. So, now I'm asking!

What are the governments in your worlds like?

Oh, and one more thing! [She holds up a few glass decorations.] I'm experimenting with colors and shapes right now, so I have some extras I can give away. If nobody wants them, I'm gonna use them to decorate our cafe.

[Actually, that isn't a bad idea, now that she's said it.] Ummm never mind, I'm gonna to put some up anyway. But you can still come and get one! I'll be at the Safehouse in Freya district!

Greetings, Asgard.

[Listen up. Castle is actually on the network for something serious this time around.]

For those of you whom I haven't met yet, I'm Richard Castle - consulting detective and murder mystery writer. In fact, my books are available here in the library if you'd like to check them out, which I obviously highly encourage.

[Just because it's serious doesn't mean that he can't throw in a little bit of promotion.]

Anyway, as a writer, one of the things I've always wanted to accomplish, beyond entertaining people, is to help people through the art of writing. Recently I was approached with an opportunity to do such a thing.

Alison Argent [because he believes in giving the young lady credit] had the idea of starting a type of therapy group here where people would be able to journal about their experiences in Asgard, either as narratives or fictional stories. I know that many of us have been through a lot here in Asgard. It isn't always the... safest place to be.

[His eyes cloud for a moment as he thinks not so much of what he's been through but what Kate has been through. She's sacrificed so much of herself for this place, more even than what he feels is necessary, because that's the type of person that she is. Castle knows that a lot of the people here have a similar hero complex.]

Writing can be a very effective form of therapy. Are there people here that would be interested in a group like this? You can message me anonymously or privately if that makes you feel more comfortable. I'm also looking for someone with a background in psychology or medicine to help me run the group. I do want it to be legit, you know. [A smile. He had someone, a very nice young psychologist named Dr. Bloom, but she seems to have unfortunately disappeared from the directory.]

Alternatively, if you're looking for writing but not necessarily the therapy part, I'll be offering classes in creative writing at Severus Snape's school as soon as... the building gets sorted out. [Because yeah, lots of charred wood in there right now.]

And if you're unsure of what kind of teacher I would make, seriously, go check out the books.

( the video begins with doctor mccoy, sitting at a desk in his room in sigyn. he looks particularly business-like, hair combed and expression serious, hands folded in front of him. before he speaks, he clears his throat—it’s almost as if he’s still a little uncomfortable to be addressing so many people at once, but that’s the only sign of it. )

Figure it’s best to get this out of the way while we’ve got the time. ( before another disaster or attack happens, he means. ) I like having a frame of reference—makes it easier to deal with people, and treat ‘em too, when you have to. I know we’re all working off the same magical system, here, but it’s better to account for specifics all the same.

That being said, here’s a list. Fill it out if you want, don’t bother telling me why not if you don’t want to. You can be as specific, or as vague, as you want, or leave out questions entirely if they bother you. If it makes you feel better, you can secure it and have my word as a doctor that I’ll keep it confidential.

( attached is this text form: )

name:
age:
species:
location prior to asgard: planet, city, country, realm, etc.
is your world more familiar with magic, technology/science, or both?:
which power did you receive in asgard?:
did you have any skills, powers or abilities that you lost once here?:
are conditions here generally better, worse, or the same as your prior location?:

That’s about all. Not much else to do on a rainy day, is there.

( ooc / a textbox, for convenience: )

[Tris sounds tense. She had so many questions in mind when she first arrived that she never got around to taking to the network. Now's not the time for any of them, except this one.]

So destruction and fighting and everything aside. Does anyone know... how long someone can stay uhm. Passed out in a coma? I know some people dream of what's happening at home like that but how long does it normally last?

[ Katniss addresses the network at large because she is presently locked in her bedroom, alone, with no intention of letting anyone in with the exception of maybe Peeta, if she decides she needs him. As she suspects she may, soon. He doesn't remember what she remembers... He didn't before... And he certainly won't now. Her voice is deadpan, mostly. Rough around the edges, but largely emotional. ]

The gods saw fit to show me more. While I was sleeping, it seems I dreamed a lifetime's worth.

PRIVATE TO FINNICK ODAIR;

I remember now. All of it. [ Then, after a long pause. ] You deserved so much better.

END PRIVATE;

PRIVATE TO PEETA MELLARK;

When are you coming home?

END PRIVATE;

[Alice is beaming proudly as she looks at the bracelet. The more observant will notice a slight scratch on her cheek and nose. Nonetheless, she looks very pleased with herself.]

It took me all day but I did it! I did it I did it! [She's bouncing.]

I made myself a pet! Oh but not any sort of pet! No no, I made Marigold!

Would you all like to meet him? I thought it would be a much nicer topic than the gloomy sorts people have been commenting on. [Because dead people? No, thank you. She has had enough of all of that.]

My father once told me a story of a knight who was skilled in hunting.  Who was loved by his people for winning in... [a pause to remember the word for it is not a druid culture] ...tournaments. Games.

Father said one day this knight went into the forest to hunt and killed all the animals he found. As he slaughtered them, he killed a doe of silver, and then her fawn of gold who he found hiding in fear in the brush. The last creature was a large stag of all white, with horns like branches of a great oak tree. As the knight and the stag faced one another, the stag cursed the knight for killing his kin and swore as long as the knight should live he would know only suffering each time he knew love. Then the knight slew him as he had the others.

[He stops there, since the story itself is not really what he is getting at]

If the knight knew that slaying the stag would bring a curse upon him....why then would he still do it? In our stories, knights do such strange things...

Hello again. I've been giving a bit of advice out to people who need help with dealing with lost ones. I've never used it myself, actually, but it doesn't seem like a bad idea. When we got here, me and my friends, we were astonished we couldn't speak to anyone from back home. Back home, you just send an owl, you see, and you can usually find anyone you're looking for. Well, here, that isn't really possible, especially if someone's gone.

[Harry pauses to carefully consider his words. He doesn't want to sound like someone who's experienced a lot of loss, which makes this harder. His parents, Sirius, they'll wonder why he's so used to this, so he decides to leave that part out. If anyone wishes to know, he'll tell them somewhere else—or just hope that his parents aren't so involved that they'll listen to every conversation he has. They haven't given him that impression, anyway.]

My point is—I've recommended that people write letters. They might find their way to where they belong sooner or later. Luna liked the idea, and I've been considering taking it up myself. And that's just to tell people from home things.

So ... yeah. It might help. But sorry for all your losses.

[Harry feels like that's enough.]

There is one more thing. I contacted a number of people about training. Merlin, Lancer ... others. But then the battle happened and my parents showed up, and, er, most of the meetings were meant to take place during that battle, which obviously, they just couldn't. Since the bracelets have still been acting up, I've been holding off on contacting anyone again, but if you received a message from me, I'm still very much interested. I'd make it easier and contact you directly, but I'm not counting on the messages making it to you just yet.

Right, that's all.

[Normally Finnick would voice or video, but with everything happening and Annie missing, he's not in that great of a mood. So instead, have a text Asgard.]

I'm having a hard time understand why everyone who cooperates is punished in one fashion or another. Can you explain to me why we bust our butts and everything seems to get worse?

Private to Katniss )

[ The tone in her voice can only be described as empty. Her face is splotchy and red; it's easy to see that she may have been crying at one point, but she isn't any longer. She sounds and looks hollow, all over. ]

Gale Hawthorne's gone.

[ That's it. That's all she says. Because it's all she can say. ]

[ Katniss's voice is more raspy than usual, and she sounds hoarse and... Well. Sick. She's burning up with fever, which isn't obvious by her voice but... She's been hit pretty hard by whatever it is that's making the residents of the city sick. ]

... Can someone -- [ She coughs, muffled as she attempts to dampen it against her fist. ] -- Make sure things are running smoothly at Safehouse? I don't think I'm going to make it over there today at all -- [ She stops again, gasping roughly and going into a deeper coughing fit. ]

-- And medicine. I need medicine.

[ he feels like he was home and back here again in the blink of an eye. it's a little jarring, to say the least. but none of that shows. he hides his frazzled side well. one thing that he can't hide though is just how exhausted he is. not physically, no. but mentally, emotionally. being in the capitol - trapped, no less - and having to deal with... well, with everything. it's tiring. not that he really had the time to deal with any of that while he was home. he was there just long enough to get a clear reminder of where he was and what awaited him when he went back for good, though.

that's why there's also a hint of relief. or maybe it's more like a lot of relief and just a hint of exhaustion by comparison. well whatever the ratio, he can't hide, either, just how glad he is to be back here again
]

I don't understand what the point of sending me back to Panem was if I was just going to be brought right back here again. That is what happened, isn't it? I went home and came back?

[ he's almost afraid to ask, but ]

Was I the only one? From Panem to be sent back there, I mean.

I have no idea when the next fight is going to be, but I know that some of us were waaay under-prepared. Not all of our powers are very good for fighting at all.

If I offered to teach people how to use guns, would anyone be interested? I'm good with all kinds. I know they're not exactly magical, but a weapon is a weapon, and maybe that'll give us more of a chance.

Red and Hope Estheim were sent home
pikachu and charzard went with Red but I have Hope's oshawott

anyone interested in adopting a baby pokemon?

[ the video feed clicks on - not to Hilda's face, but to the face of a very cute otter-like creature. it pokes curiously at the bracelet's gem, then smiles at the feed. Hilda, on the other hand, has purposefully stayed away from the camera... for reasons that she'd rather not talk about. only her voice can be heard: ]

He's really playful and sweet, but he's a big responsibility. If you think you'll need pointers or tips on how to raise it, the other Trainers and I can probably help you.

[ she sighs, her voice showing obvious tiredness.  ] Just let me know.

[ if you're passing by in the park, you might see her on the grass, leaning on her Samurott (who instisted on staying out of his ball to keep her company) and halfheartedly playing with the Oshawott in question. two of her best friends leaving has taken a toll on her, and it shows. ]

Come one, come all!! [Rue opens the announcement with suitable dramatics, trying for a bit of Caesar's stage presence. Then she frowns suddenly.] Mostly come all. It wouldn't be fun if only one person showed up.

We're going to open a new cafe soon so come and try our food! Um. But leave some for everybody else, okay? We don't want to run out too fast. If you need a job, we need some more people to help out here, too.

It's called The Safehouse. We're in Freya district, but we're really close to the theater! [She gives a wobbly little curtsy with a giggle.] I'm Rue and I'll be your hostess. See you there!

[If people make their way over to the cafe, they'll see the kids from Panem keeping busy. They'll be giving out some samples of the food you can find on their menu!]

... I don't think I left, but I remember things from home. Things I didn't remember before. But for those of you who knew Peeta... I know where he is now. I know what happened to him. He's alive. It's not good, but he's alive.

[ As if anyone cares, or remembers him like she does. Hopefully someone is keeping hope alive, by remembering their dandelion in spring for Peeta's sake, just like she's trying to. But they have him now. ]

For those who knew her, Raven Darkholme has returned home.

Again.

[And honestly, Erik didn't feel like addressing the network with it, but he figured Raven had made other connections, known other people. He might not care for most (read as: any) of them, she would have liked them to know.]

Question.

Say a Traveller really wants to be doing something useful but he or she is coming up short on the ideas front. I'm not talking filling time here, I'm talking taking care of business, touring the facility, picking up slack.

For the sake of this question, let's assume that they're already training with their magical ability (not exactly combat orientated) and learning some fighting skills. But they're kind of new to this whole general public experience and feel like they should be doing more. Let's also assume kind of average in the skills department. I mean, there's stuff they're good at -- really, really good at lbh -- but none of that applies here in no-power central.

Advice?

((ooc: replies may be slow -- have a busyish day but wanted to get this up without further delay!))
