I suppose this is a question that has been asked before, but not in my (admittedly brief) time here. I apologise if it's a subject that comes up entirely too often, but it's one that I've been curious about for quite some time now. It's also a delicate topic, I know, so feel free to reply privately if you feel uncomfortable talking about it. Or don't reply at all. That's fine, too.

[It's certainly a difficult subject for her to talk about at times. That's why this is in text, rather than voice or video. But getting to the point...]

Who among the Travellers is dead back home? Not in some nebulous future 'everyone dies eventually' sort of way, but something rather more immediate, in that you died just before coming here. What do you expect will happen when you leave Asgard? Do deceased Travellers simply return to being deceased? Is there some sort of afterlife in your world?

[She remembers all too well Owen and Suzie mentioning the darkness that's all that exists after death. It's something that's kept her up at night more than a few times.]

I don't ask this for the sake of any sort of theological debate, mind, but out of curiosity. I don't personally subscribe to any particular system of belief, but I respect those held by others. I just want to know what you think will happen.

[ the woman on the video is smiling, though anyone who knows her can tell you that's a pretty scary thing to be happening. still, this isn't for people who know her; it's for the general population, and she's doing her best to not be scary. for the most part, there aren't many in asgard who know who she is - at least, not by sight. she's a nobody. and she likes it that way. ]

Everyone should come to the bar I work at.

[ straight to the point, blunt. ]

You get a nice drink, I get tips, we both go home happy. I've recommended it before, but things tend to be a bit slow after mayhem.. and honestly, I'd hate to see this place close.

[ mostly because it's a cover for her to pick up all the happening gossip in the city. but if the travelers don't come, then she doesn't have anything to listen to but natives. still, she doesn't seem untrustworthy from the video, and that's the entire point. ]

Whatever you want to drink, I can make it. Or at least, something extremely similar; this place doesn't have everything you'd expect by way of alcohol. So, give it a shot.

[ attached to her message is a map to the bar and a menu. ]

[He doesn't want to talk to anyone. He doesn't want to see anyone at the moment either. His brother is gone, his other best friend is gone... Soubi is gone. While he knows he'll see Youji again when he gets home... however long... But Soubi and Seimei? He doesn't know. Like so much in his life, he doesn't know if he'll see them again.]

How often do people return after they leave? Is there... some sort of rate of possibility?

[Because if he can have it in numbers, have it in some sort of concrete fact, he can rationalize it better. He can handle the possibility of percentage about seeing his brother again. At home he has no idea when he might see Seimei again, but here, here couldn't there just be something... concrete?

He knew there wasn't. He knew that it was as unpredictable as anything else.

He was just in denial, it was something he was good at.

Good evening.

[The man on the screen is off in several ways. There's a calmness and raw honesty to him, taken to an inhuman level. His cadence and choice of words suggest English is a second language to him, despite having an American accent. He seems friendly, even still.]

You may call me September. I am here for the same purposes you are and I am willing to help in what ways I can, but I do not have specific questions at this time.

I wish to hear about other methods of time travel technology, if there are others willing to discuss what they have. It interests me and I would much appreciate learning all that I can while I have the privilege, although I know these technologies don't work in this land.

[And with that, he turns off his feed to wait.]

[ Contary to popular belief, not all of her reminders are sudsy faux pas at raising morale by glossing over the near-imminent end of days with errant chore routines and rehearsed domesticity for the sake of her team, but swapping one apocalypse for another version of the Armageddeon was enough to induce internal hemorrhaging on both accounts (granted, if a certain Assassin hadn't already beat them to the punch). Ascended Fridge Horror was an eternal trope in her line of business.

But Stillman remains composed in her attempt to infuse some vestige of credibility into her message. Professionalism didn't cut slack for even post-mortem workaholics. ]

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Lucy. I'm a ... researcher. In light of everything that's occurred recently, I believe it's high time that I become acquainted with you all, if only to extend my support in our shared endeavors. I'll do what I can to help.

That being said: would anyone like self-defense lessons? I realize it's not that much to offer, but if anyone needs a sparring partner, I'm capable of handling firearms, blades, blunt weapons, and hand-to-hand combat. I wouldn't be against polishing my technique with your assistance, either. Payment isn't necessary, but I do have a preference for fixed appointments. Let me know if you're interested and we'll hammer out the rest of the details together. [ There's a nearly pedestrian, lilting pause as she invokes the real intent behind using the network system to contact the general public in the first place. ]

I understand that, for better or worse, we were chosen and forcibly brought to Asgard. But the extenuating reasons behind that decision — whether it's by chance or through ulterior motives — are completely beyond me. I take it some people have had quite a long stay here, and others, like myself, have only recently arrived, but it seems we all share an equal opportunity to leave. The thing is? It isn't on our terms. Only random selection at any given time of day.

I'm open to all possible theories you might have concerning any Traveler's sudden departure, however.

And while I'm at it, is there anyone out there who's returned to Asgard from their original world on more than one occassion? If so, I'd like to ask a few general questions about the experiences in each iteration. Nothing major. [ A beat. ]

Thank you for your time. I genuinely appreciate it.

[HE HAS HAD ENOUGH OF THIS

It takes a certain amount of courage to actually post on the network, but damn it all, he can't keep going like this. What everyone else seems to consider to be common knowledge is completely and utterly new to him, and he's getting pretty sick of either asking questions and feeling stupid or avoiding the network, sooooo...

A young, slightly apprehensive voice comes onto the network.]

Does anyone know of a good place to go and learn about the ways and vocabulary of Asgard and other worlds besides our own?

[In the confusion of going to Alfheim and immediately going gray afterwards, he has not heard of the library or considered that information like that might be written down anywhere. Cut him some slack; he was illiterate a week ago.]

[ The backdrop is only the wall of her room in House Hel and in place of a missing crown her hair is braided back from her face. ]

I am Daenerys Stormborn, of House Targaryen. I traveled with many of you to the front at Alfheim, though this world remembers my face from a time now lost to me. If we once had dealings in the past I would speak with you of them.

[ Better than bumping into each and every person one at a time, as she's been doing for over a week now. A beat, and she continues. ]

Among you are men and women that claim the Seven Kingdoms their home, to whom my family name and titles are more familiar. Whether you hail from Westeros or the Free Cities and beyond - I make only two simple requests. [ Many of them have already come forward, but there is at least one false name that doesn't match up and one Kingslayer that hasn't shown his face. ] To friends, I ask that you tell me of your time in Asgard. [ Her back and shoulders remain straight, her gaze hardening just a fraction. ] To all others, [ oathbreakers and pretenders alike ] convince me that our cause in this world is truly a common one.

[ And that no blood needs to be spilled on these foreign streets. Their feuds can resume back home where they can be settled and not forgotten.

Or just stay out of her way. Khaleesi out. ]

[ the camera comes on to show alex sitting at a piano she found. don't ask where, she just managed to find one, and now she's sitting at it.] So while you lot were off fighting a war and I was stuck here, I decided to put my extra free time to good use and fine tune my piano skills. [ cue a big, charming smile.] I've always been quite good. [ please, everyone, spare her feelings.] So for all my fellow captives, this one's for you.

[ and if you go to 7:53 in this video you'll experience the song she's playing and just how horrible she actually is. but look at her face, she looks so pleased with herself as she plays. she honestly thinks she's good.]

[when the feed starts, it's focused on a nervous-looking guy against a backdrop of feathers. that's it. just feathers. all the feathers anyone could possibly ever want.]

Um, hi.

[he pauses, frowning, and then reaches out to poke at the screen. tapping, tapping, curious and probably not really believing that it's working. what in the world is this? and then he remembers that hey, he's supposed to be saying something.]

Ah. Um. Hi. I'm- My name is Lor. I'm...new here. Apparently.

[he fidgets just a little bit. just. a little. it's totally not a whole lot what are you talking about.]

So, from what I understand, you.. you guys are at war. Right? And I- we're here to help? [he doesn't look very happy about that.] Does anyone know why there's a war going on? [and this is where he gets a little bit sullen, even unhappier than before.] From my experience, it's never a good reason. Just people wanting to hurt others.

If...if you can prove that you're the good guys in this war, then I'll help. I'm not...really sure what use I'll be, but if it'll help you guys and get me home faster [and really, he has to wonder if he means home as in Hell or his real home] then I'll do it.

Just, um...let me know what I can do, I guess.
