There isn't much to see in the beginning. A few stray chestnut curls, the purple bodice of a dress that was probably once quite glamorous, but is now stained and dusty. This technology is all new to Aurora, and it's a minute or two before she manages to center the thing on her face. Her eyes are ringed by dark shadows that don't so much hint at her lack of sleep as they do blatantly advertise it, and her mouth is set in a thin line ]

I'll admit, the furnishings are much nicer than the last time, but a captive is a captive no matter the decor. You stand to gain very little from my presence here, but I'm sure you've already realized that

[ Because no matter what that letter says, or what she's been told, aurora is still convinced she knows exactly who's responsible for this ]

Your servant performed her role admirably. Tell me, did you pluck her heart out as easily as all the others?

[ There may be just a hint of bitternesss in her voice (Ok, more than a hint) but she can't really be blamed for that ]

In any case, I find it difficult to believe anything she said. If there's a way to bring me here, and without even the slightest warning, then surely you can send me home the same way.

[A yawn can be heard as the blonde-haired boy stared blankly into the bracelet, rotating it around as it was on his wrist. Well, looks like the thing is working properly, might as well address something.]

I'll never be able to get over how something like this, and such a place, can exist. One cannot doubt what life can throw at someone such as myself, and instead, I take it with open arms. With that out of the way, I think it's only formal to address who I am. Some of you know who I am already, but at this point, it seems irrelevant.

[This was a lot easier then he expected, alas, Giorno cannot help, but smirk at the ease of this. He needs something like this for Passione, but seeing as how that's not possible at the moment...]

Giorno Giovanna. Now then, unto the reason for making this...

It seems that after a little chat with someone I recently met here, it came to my attention that I need to...socialize. [The side of his mouth budged at the mention of that word. Jeez, this really is awkward.] And these bracelets seem to help out a lot in that matter. However, if you want to converse, feel free. If not, be on your way, I don't have time to waste on you. [He says this, a stare that pierces the soul.] ...did I sound harsh?

[The feed turns on to Norman sitting inside of Hel's Welcome Hall's lounge  with his long red scarf wrapped around his neck and a destroyed book on his lap. He's got a slightly nervous smile on, and his hands rub together in a worried manner before strumming along the book.]

Soooooo....who wants to talk about the afterlife?

[Yup, Norman's doing this. That's right, Asgard. There's a 11 year old who wants to talk about death. Although that wasn't the best way to start off this video, and he has to take a deep breath before continuing.]

I'm not actually talking about religious views, but what do you think happens when you die? Uh, I guess religious stuff works too if you really want to talk about that. I've heard a few things about how death works in different worlds, so I thought it would be interesting to hear from more people.

Also, I thought it would be good to talk about it since a lot of people seem to want to help get Freyr back. [Just going to add some not-bizarre reasoning to this.]

So yeah, if you want to say anything, go ahead. If you want to talk about it privately, you can put up a filter. [A pause.] And...if your world has ghosts or you believe in ghosts, that would be great to hear about too.

If you could stay in Asgard forever, would you?
After we win the war, if the gods would let us.
Why or why not? :)

[The video turns on and Will is sitting outside. His jaw is set as he sighed softly.]

Death isn't easy to think about, especially if you've experienced it. I can't be the only one in this situation.

I have some questions for anyone who has died in their own world, or for anyone who knows someone who has come back from the dead.

Where do we go when we dream?

[It is presumably late at night. And, presumably, someone is making a point of disrupting your sleep.

For a long moment, there is nothing but a blank feed. A bracelet that's been shoved under something, perhaps, or maybe even purposefully covered. The moment passes, however, and everything is a bit of a blur of light and color until Road turns it toward her. She is sprawled out on a bed, wearing nothing but a small white nightgown.

The view spins as she props it next to her, presumably on a pillow. She rolls fully into view, and sprawls out on her back.]

When I was a little girl, I used to travel all over the world with my family. England, and France, and Germany, and Portugal, and even Japan! Japan was my favorite ♥ [A soft giggle, as if something is absolutely hilarious about that.]

So when I dreamed, I dreamed of visiting those places with Papa, and Tyki, and Lero over and over again~

[She giggles again, and rolls over onto her stomach, propping her chin on her hands.]

Tell me about your dreams ♥

[Even though the bracelet had been somewhat explained to Gaius on his arrival, he's still not sure how it's even meant to work. It's in his hands as only Merlin the village idiot would put jewelery from a random stranger on.

And for a good few moments the entire network has a close up of Gaius's trademark stare, one eyebrow already raised. Tremble in fear, judgment is upon you.]

-sted thing. Communication through a bracelet? Are they even sure about that?

[Gaius pulls back from his squinting, putting on a pair of glass so he can...squint harder. This is sorcery even he's never heard of. Well, here goes nothing right? What other options are there? Approximately zero.]

I find it very hard to believe this thing is even useful for anything. Who is hearing this?

[ Regina appears with a smile and a wave as per usual. She was a little shaken up by the battle, but she'll get to that later - for now, there's more pressing issues to attend to. ]

Hey Asgard! What's up? I guess things haven't been so good lately. Let's tidy this place up so Mr Freyr will be proud of us, wherever he is. [ She pauses. She's already getting sad! This can't happen. Better get to the real meat of her broadcast quickly. ]

Anyways, it's kind of a bummer that we're not going home, but at the same time I'll be able to talk to you all for a bit longer! You're my friends, after all! But I was wondering why my friends from home haven't shown up yet. I don't want them to get hurt, but I'd like to introduce them to you all! So next time a bunch of people arrive, I want you to look extra-specially-hard for these guys:

[ And here it comes - Regina winks and shoves a few crudely-drawn sketches right in the camera. No-one can escape them now. ]

ooc cut for artistic genius )

Okay, that's all for now! Except for one thing. Oops, I forgot. [ She giggles, but (oddly) soon shuts up. ]

What happens after you die? I want to know, once and for all.

01 December 2012 @ 01:52 pm
[The feed starts up with a view of Norman's room with him sitting on the edge of his bed. He seems reluctant (as always), but there's a mix of agitation and worry in his expression while one of his hands is curled into the sheets under him, clenching and unclenching. It might be because he just recently returned from his grey state, and the last thing he remembers of Asgard is cleaning up from after the war..........However, something else is definitely on his mind. For him, coming back to Asgard is like jumping from one fire and into another, except this world's fate doesn't solely depend on him. So maybe it's a smaller fire.]

How long was I gone? [There's a pause, followed him opening his mouth for a second to say something and then shutting it to mull things over.] I ended up going back home for a little while...

[Again, he pauses on a certain thought before shaking his head to himself, so that's the last bit he's going to say about that. If he's remembering things correctly, people seem to be a lot more understanding in Asgard, yet he's incredibly wary to tell everyone what he's gone through back home.] So, yeah. I'm back. It's, uh, sort of chilly here. [But at least he has the clothes that appeared around the time he found Mary. Speaking of which--]

...Is there a place here that's warm for animals, like a stable or something? I have a sheep, and I don't want her to get cold. [Though, he doesn't really want to see her right now considering she's still dyed green from before.]

______
[A few hours later, there will be an anon text going up on the network as its own post:]

If you had something really important to do that scared you, would you still do it?

((ooc: Forward dated to Daytime of D183, make sure to indicate if you're responding to one post (Norman's or the Anon) or both.))

[As always when Finnick makes a post, he's upbeat and very much energetic. Even for having fought with everyone and losing Annie at one point, he's already recovered. It was time to try and get things back to normal.]

Hey everyone, I know that we are all recovering but I have a couple of questions.

First. I'm looking for several different wedding gifts I can give my wife after we tie the knot here. Does anyone have any good suggestions? I want to make this even more special for her.

[Especially after all the violence...]

Second. I know we talked to a lot of people when I proposed to Annie again about several different things we needed for the ceremony and party. I need to touch base with everyone, and we decided that Mid February is about the time we want things to happen.

Last, I think it's time to go out for the night? Who wants to go?

[So for this evening, people over the bracelets may hear music. However as the video feed is on, the person playing said music on a violin he borrowed from the Draupnir while in a studio he rented for practicing can be seen. The prince also seems very into his practicing and while he may not be very familiar with the creator of these compositions, he studied enough of the music sheets to become familiar with how they're played and doing a pretty good job. After finishing though, he turns to the feed as seeing it's on and smiles.]

Ah greetings people of Asgard, my name is Enrique and I'm a Prince from the country of Valua. Though currently, I've become a member of the Sigyn house and one of the newest members of the Draupnir as of today at least. I also do invite people to come by and hear me play should you wish to even if this will be my first time playing before an audience, hopefully I won't be too nervous. [There's a small laugh in there.] And greetings to fellow members of the Draupnir as well, I do wish to meet all of you in due time.

Though I do have something else to ask of you fellow people, would anyone know of a place where I might be able to find supplies to build a ship? It sounds very odd to ask I know, but my friends from home and I wish to build a ship here in Asgard together. Thus I would greatly appreciate any help given to me and thank you humbly.

[ Okay. Time for me to face facts. This isn't a dream. Well, it might be some sort of magic shared coma dream--maybe Rena finally clonked me too hard; it'd explain Satoshi running around.

... ... ...No, that is pretty stupid.

Well. Time to make a first impression.
]

PEOPLE OF ASGARD, LISTEN! FELLOW MEMBERS OF HEIMDALL, LEND ME YOUR EARS!

I am here to introduce myself! It's only customary for us all stuck together in this place to come to know one another, so I will with this hand take center stage for the time I am entitled to!

[ At this point he stands atop his bed, stands straight, and POINTS with fervor at nothing. ]

This figure before you--this man standing before you!--is none other than--

[ He LEAPS from the bed and lands on the ground, spins, and POINTS with even more fervor at an equal amount of nothing. ]

--the one-and-only Keiichi!

[ Pause.

Then he laughs, falling back onto the bed.

Haha, that'd be pretty cool! But an over-the-top introduction like that isn't my style, so I'll go with something normal, even if it was fun to play out. Good thing I don't have a roommate! Now, I'll just get this thing working and give a toned down--

Wait. Is...This doesn't mean--

He leans in very, very, very closely to the translucent screen.

Ellen Harvelle went home.

[Not that anyone would be looking for her, her mom wasn't very social when she was here, but might as well let everyone know.]

[If Wynne is anything, she is an excellent student. To one who has spent nearly their entire life learning and teaching others, it wasn't hard to put the maid's instructions of the bracelet's functions into play.

Even so. Fascinating. The video feed clicks on to show a rather elderly woman staring curiously into the bracelet]

My, what an interesting contraption. I've heard the elves of Arlathan had something similar, but I never thought...[Right. "Recording". That means everyone will see this.]

I beg your pardon. I suppose I should say hello to my neighbors; good day...Asgard, was it? If that letter was telling the truth, then we may be seeing quite a bit of each other. It would probably be in our best interest to start things off on a pleasant foot, don't you think?

Why don't you humor an old woman for the moment? You may call me Wynne; I hail from Ferelden's Circle of Magi, if any of those names are familiar. [She laughs.] It's probably quite a long shot, but I wouldn't say no to the company of someone from my homeland. [If they would deign to associate with a mage outside the watch of the Circle and the templars, anyway. But that's not pleasant introductory talk.]

But my former life seems to be of no consequence here. I am Wynne of the house Sigyn now, whatever that will mean to the rest of you.

Now, a name for a name, if you'd be so kind; please introduce yourselves. [And she grins.] And if you perhaps know a place where they brew some good ale, please don't keep it to yourself.

[The video swivels to a rather nice view of the ceiling as Wynne fiddles with the bracelet, attempting to turn it off.]

Oooh, blast these things...

[Click.]
