[A black hedgehog suddenly appears! Perhaps his appearance reminds you of someone you know, perhaps not. Either way, he looks highly unamused by the events that have transpired here. Waking up in a strange place, not a wholly uncommon thing, but it was still annoying when it does happen. At least the last time he was still on the same planet.]

[But no, and questions pertaining to why he’s even here can be answered in the letter he was given. At least they should be, according to that woman. Reading it over again, Shadow highly doubts that.]

“The fate of all existence rests within your capable hands.” Tch. What a joke.

[At a simple tightening of his grip, the letter crumpled immediately, Shadow casually tossing it onto the ground. No point in keeping something so useless, right? Lifting up his wrist, Shadow looked back to the bracelet he had activated just before. A recording device of some kind? At least, that’s what he was told.]

Still, seeing that I’m no longer on the ARK, something must’ve happen. A discharge in energy from the Chaos Emeralds perhaps. Doubt it, but real explanations seem to be few and far between. [Obviously not thinking too much of that ‘Gods’ one from the letter.] I wonder if the Doctor’s plans were a success then. It’s a shame I didn’t get to watch it myself, but so long as it actually happened, that’s good enough.

[Right, Maria?]

Excuse me.

There's something I want to ask you.

Generally speaking, what kind of males do females like? Romantically, I mean.

I don't have any idea. I may be too dense to figure this one out on my own.

[Pause.]

I just that...I don't want to believe that all females prefer handsome men with cocky faces.

[He's just assuming that because he is pathetic and he knows.]

Sorry for taking up your time with pointless questions.

Right, it was brought up as a suggestion so here goes. Anyone up for a spar, I'm game. Come as you are or bring your weapon, doesn't matter. I'll be in the center grounds if anyone's interested.

[Varon's not looking for a win/lose scenario but it's certainly a good way to know people his way.]

[It comes to no surprise that Kayneth had kept silent upon his arrival and spent some time gathering his bearings-- being plucked mid-battle along with the sudden loss of his Mystic Code was not quite the welcome befitting of one his rank, scouted by the gods-- aside. Being separated from Victory close at hand and his beloved was not doing his blood pressure any favors, either. Even so (if only for the moment) he will keep his silence about these ‘Gods’; for one, he’d require more proof then a mere letter(much too simple for his tastes. Reality Marble, perhaps? Even if he’d be willing to believe such a tale, Kayneth Archibald El-Melloi does not take kindly to those with the worrying ability in keeping him in the dark), and the main reason--for the first time in his life, he cannot access his magic circuits.

Outwardly calm only because he’d managed to push panic aside-- deal with later-- he turns his attention to the bracelet, pondering his next move; was he to announce his presence as he would have in any other situation, or not?

Finally activating the bracelet with little difficulty, he began addressing others ‘chosen’ by the gods.
]

The ninth head of the Archibald house, Kayneth El-Melloi, seeks audience with those in the House of Odin.

[Weed out potential threats from those worthy from such a selection would be a difficult but much needed process. Loathe as he would in working with others, even he knew when his pride must suffer for his survival. Conflicting emotions aside, he is anxious on better knowing this ‘Asgard’, since--knowledge is half the battle. He frowned. ]

As for the others- I wish to compile our information on the situation at hand.

I hope you all plan to start laughing and crying soon. Apparently that's what's expected of us and I don't know about the rest of you but I hate it here already. So get to it. Maybe they'll send us back sooner.

Or maybe they won't. Has anyone seen a bench I could wait all this out on? By a window maybe. I would prefer cushions if it's going to be over 7 years, but stone will do.
