[Video opens to a room in Sigyn that hardly seems lived in. By a person, at any rate, if only because there are no less than three dogs and something that is clearly not a dog and no one in their right mind would look at it and think, "that's a dog." They would look at it and think, "that's a wolf, I should probably not try to befriend it because it'll rip me to shreds." But not Will Graham, oh no. The wolf is apparently king of the bed, resting on the pillow (if someone thought, "that is probably the pillow this guy sleeps on and it's covered in fur," then someone would be right). Another dog is currently chewing a bone next to it, and a small, fluffy, orange dog rests just barely in view. But that's not really the focus (apparently, they're just background, even the wolf) here. No. It's a particular dog who seems enthralled with this almost-as-scruffy guy, turning a collar over in his hands like he's never seen one before. That one hand is in a cast is completely ignored, though he's obviously favoring the good one because this guy is completely stable. Really. Legitimately functional in every way possible.

This is Will Graham, and the dog-covered room is totally his design.
]

Does anyone here know Jade Harley? [Gemstone Motorcycle. What a name.] I found this dog earlier today, and her name is on the collar. I figured it was hers. [Because no one else could come to that conclusion, clearly he needed to make sure that this one leap in logic was easily understood. A moment passes before he looks behind him, almost like he's forgotten there's other dogs. And a wolf. On his bed. No big deal, right?] I found some others, too, so if they're anybody's, please let me know. They didn't have collars, so. I just brought them back. [It's pretty obvious that he'll keep doing it, too. Can't be stopped.] Thanks in advance.

[ooc. jade's dog and robb stark's direwolf stolen found with permission from the players! if someone wants to get in on "my dog!!!" madness, shoot me a pm and we'll be gravy! just let him keep the tiny dog, the other is up for grabs.]

[For a few moments, the only thing that could be heard was the muffled sound of someone crying before the feed cut. She was trying to say something, but her sobs overwhelmed her, and she found it impossible to speak.

After a few minutes, Gwen tried again. Her voice was still shaky, and she still sounded like she was crying, or rather, trying to hold back the sobs.]

I... I am so sorry. About everything. [The tears started up again as the memories of last month rush back.] If you want nothing to do with me, I understand. [Because she didn't want anything to do with herself either. But that was all she could say before the tears rushed back, ending her call.

For the most part, Gwen will be avoiding people she cares about, but they're welcomed to run into her. She's going to try and clear out her room in Thor and move out to get away from the people she hurt. Thought right now, she's unsure about where she'll go, Sigyn seems like a good plan for the time being.]

[Gwen didn't feel like talking. Not only was she starting to become scared of this place, but the lost of her friends was making nearly impossible to stand this place all together.

The sound of a hammer hitting metal could be heard as Gwen tried to keep busy and her mind off of everything during this time.]

For... for those who knew him, Lancelot has returned home. [She sounds upset, but desperately trying to hide it.] I suppose it means he's safe though, so it can be seen as a bit of good news.

[Gwen has no idea what will happen to Lancelot at home, but she does know that it's better than being stuck in this place right now, and her friends being safe is all she cares about.]

Also, if anyone requires a weapon, it seems I have made a bit too many. [Something she's been doing to keep busy during this horrific time.] They are not my best work though. Perhaps I shouldn't be working when- OW! Oh! I can't believe-! [And she quickly hung up.

Due to being weak from lack of sleep from just sheer fear, Gwen managed to hammer her thumb. Not badly, but it was going to be nice and bruised, and probably a bit swollen for awhile.]

[ no one should be surprised to hear Morgana breaking things by now; luckily for you all, today you've missed her smashing a glass against the wall and you only get the faint sound of deep breaths and a melody, some of you may recognize it? Mary Had A Little Lamb. Eventually the tune will cease and a moment later there would be a message. ]

the boy who has given me this trinket is gone.

back home, I imagine; I hope it would meet him well. His name is Lavi, I am only grateful he is not here to sense this madness.

this is a madness, certainly. are we not to speak of it? even the already mad can tell the difference, even they know something is occurring.

to those who still linger in the city and have not traveled out of it, take great care. when shadows begin to move it cannot spell anything good for anyone.

I'm sorry to sound like a bother, but I was wondering if anyone would be interested in teaching me how to make swords and other weapons and armor that requires a blacksmith? At home, my father was a very successful blacksmith, and I was able to learn some from him; however, I have been out of practice, since I have not been around a blacksmith here.

Also, if it is not too much trouble, I would like to learn how to properly use a sword. Being around them my whole life means I do know how to carry one, but I have never been properly trained.

There isn't much I can do in return, but I am a very skilled seamstress, and as a servant, I have other skills, like cooking and cleaning, to repay for any help. [aka She doesn't really have money.]

Thank you so much.

[Really, it hasn't been all too long since he last appeared on the network, but today's is brief and rather terse.]

Hermione's gone. That's what it means when their names aren't on the list anymore, right? She hasn't been home for a little over a day. [He'd looked, too.] So, dunno what you lot do about this sort of thing, but I know she'd a place I doubt she'd want run to the ground--

[He cleared his throat.]

Anyway, she's better off back home. This place was messing with her. Least now she can go back to school and do what she wanted. [And it's safer there. He wondered what it would take to stop them from bringing her back, but he knew that was futile.]

This happens a lot around here, eh?

[There's a lot of flickering. The Doctor's face is in shadow, defined by the small specks of light wherever he stands. His eyes are cold, but there's something almost sad and weary if it can be seen in this light.]

You tell us to make friends. You tell us to play nice. And if we behave ourselves and brighten up the place, the city will be saved and our fragile little worlds will stand a chance. It's like a fairy tale right out of a storybook. Make friends, give yourself stronger powers, kill the nasty giants, and save the world. So easy a child could do it, right?

Sure. Until the people you've bonded with vanish without a trace one after another like they're being picked off, slipping away into the ether like they never existed. Poof. And there go those bonds you keep telling us to make.

[He makes a violent separation gesture with his hands]

I'll be a good little soldier and fight the giants, if only because our stable little worlds might warrant some saving. But that's all you're getting from me.

[Oh look-- It's Sasuke.]

I got the message about ramen, quit forwarding it to me.

[TEN TIMES IS ENOUGH OKAY.]

[ The feed opens on a redheaded girl with goggles resting on top of her head. She looks a little nervous and starts out speaking just slightly faster than your average conversation. ]

'Sup, Asgard!

Name's Claudia, I'm semi-new here and I'm looking for a workspace. I invent stuff, repair stuff, improve stuff, your usual genius tinkerer deal. Thing is, working out of a Welcome Hall room just isn't cutting it. I require space and grounded electrical outlets.

[ Deep breath. Slow down. Smile! ]

To head off the inevitable inquiry: I am broke. Nada moolah. Rent will have be paid in the form of nifty doodads -- we're a little low tech here but I can work it -- and maybe light cleaning, just until I get a job.

Leads on the job front would also be greatly appreciated!

...that is all.

[ And she's out! ]

[Percy's thought long and hard about what he's going to say. Which is saying something. He's been a leader of two camps, but sometimes he just liked playing it as a regular person. But then he wants to protect and help everyone, so that's where this comes in.]

[And it's with a pause as he opens his mouth before settling that he speaks.]

My name's Percy Jackson. I've been here going on two months now and things are alright here. Great, compared to home, I mean. But this place is a lot like there, too. We have Gods back home, too, just no ones. And Giants. Some really annoying Giants that want to take over the world as traveling salesmen. Don't worry, we stopped him before he could manage to go out and sell his fake Rolex. The world really doesn't need more of them.

I guess you could say since this is kind of my life anyway, so I've kind of gotten used to it. Well, I mean, besides the fact that something's not exploding every day this place is a lot like home. But what I'm getting at is I asked the big guy recently-- What do you do fight the Giants? I kind of figured there was something better to do than just running around when something happened. Not that we won't anyway, winging it's kind of what happens. Anyway, he told me that no one's asked that question.

That's really bad. I know not everyone's fighters and I don't expect them to be. If you don't have to be that's great. There's no way I'd ask anyone to fight if they don't have to. We're suppose to be here to bring color back to the city and we're doing that. But there's a lot of people here who can't even hold a sword. Or any weapon. I know there's the Citadel and that's a great place to start. The guys there seem to know their stuff . But I think we all need to be prepared when something bad happens. I mean it feels like we're just getting lucky. And I know a lot of people don't like the gods, but I think they're doing their best.

Back home there's some things the Gods can't do. Actually, there's a lot of things they can't do. There's things they can't interfere in. Maybe it's not the same way here, but I've always been taught that the Gods need our help, too. And that's why we're here-- You know, despite the Gods saying they weren't the ones to actually bring us here.

I'm not sure what to believe, but I know there's a lot of people here. Some of us are used to it but I think some people had fairly normal lives before being kidnapped. We need to figure out something. It's not just about helping the Gods, it's about helping our friends and returning home. Saving everything is a really big deal.

I know. They might seem like our enemies but our real enemies aren't them. Everyone had good reason to be angry. But we can't let that stop us-- Not if we ever want to get home. And I don't know about you guys, but there's something important waiting for me back there, too. We have to figure out a plan- -anything to help us out.

[And he lets out a breath pauses and shrugs.]

I also think it would be good to have some friendly combat experience. And by that I mean Capture the Flag, no restrictions. There'd be two teams and everyone in the same house will be on the same team. Anything can be used. So, yeah, that means weapons and magic. It's encouraged-- that way people can experience a wide range of fighting skills. But if you try to kill someone that's instant disqualification. If you like maiming people for fun this wouldn't be the game for you.

Um, and it would be a lot of fun. Even if you don't want to help out with anything else, Capture the Flag is a great way to spend an evening. Well, you know, if you're not the person that accidentally runs yourself through with a sword. There's been a few of those.

Oh, and Annabeth? You're totally the Captain of the other team. Leo? Gwen? If you don't come willingly we'll come find you guys. I'm thinking if things don't explode suddenly we can play in the next few days.

...Yeah, um, that's it. Yours in Heimdallian in all that?

[[OOC: For Capture the Flag OOC information can be found HERE! And I'm aiming to have the game on August 18 so yay!]]

[Loras is sitting in a chair, polishing his sword, so his comes in and out of view, with each stroke of the cloth. If he looks tired, well...he has apparently spent a month as a grey nothing. He can only remember snatches, of simply feeling nothing, with no sense of himself.

It was disturbing situation, and if it had not been for one he had not considered a friend, he may have stayed like that for longer.

Letting out a breath, he finally stills his motions and looks at the small screen, giving a small, if but troubled, smile.]

It seems I have been gone for some time. I had heard of what occurred when one lost a bracelet, but to experience it...

[He shakes his head. It is not a feeling he wishes to repeat. He may not enjoy his life, these days, but to feel something is better than to feel nothing.]

Is it so common? I do not recall how I lost mine...

Also, if someone could inform me what has occurred in these past days. I would greatly appreciate it.

[Private text to Hermoine]

...thank you, for finding my bracelet. For helping them find me.

Perhaps I misjudged you.

[The Doctor looks much himself again, though people who know him might think he looks a bit... apprehensive, perhaps. He's doing his best to hide it, though.]

Well, then! Now that that bothersome business is behind us, I thought I'd say a belated 'hello' to the new people among us.

[That was it, that was the hello.]

I'm the Doctor--one of them, anyway.

Private to the DW cast )

[Hilariously, he started writing this earlier in the day. Ended up falling asleep and all of the other symptoms sort of distracted him from it.]

M'lady Morgana, I found a music box. Doesn't have the song I wanted but if you want to look at it I'll leave it outside Odin. [It plays Mary Had A Little Lamb and looks like it should belong to a little girl. Just...ignore the blood that might be on the corner of it, it's Lavi's.]

Miss Nina, Access, I think it's best if I don't come in for a few days. I think I caught some sort of bug somehow. Sorry.

Anyone have a good cough/sore throat remedy or anything to bring down a fever when one already has chills? Mine aren't working right now.

Allen, Two-spot, don't visit. No one visit.

[Lavi's got himself a case of the Bubonic plague (Black Death) of the non-lethal sorts but he'll still be pretty damn rattled.

Sorry, Ash ([personal profile] mullets), but he might be occupying the bathroom more than you like.]

[[ooc; Forward-dated to 7/17 (aka evening of 296) because I have a work barrage but wanted to get some tags in before I got eaten. For those that want to bother him in person, he's at the catch-all log here.]]

Current Mood: sick

16 July 2013 @ 04:23 am
so i've come to the conclusion that being sick sucks worse than being ran through with a sword on a cold stone slab.
i also figure that screaming orange text asshole and myself aren't the only ones.
because if we were that would be the worst deliverance of karma i've ever heard of.

[there is a pause in the text.]

so who wants to bring me some soup?

[He might acutally be attempting sarcasm, he wouldn't be able to keep the soup down.]

[ the face that appears on the network is not worried or angry; luna looks relatively calm. actually, she's smiling, and the video keeps changing from being close up to far away. ]

I'm so glad that mine can do this, too. I know it can speak, but. . . well, I wasn't sure. . .

[ then there's an aerial view. the bracelet is still attached to her wrist, so she's just having fun with different perspectives—different angles. ]

Oh, that's right, I was going to ask something! An inter-dimensional owl post. . . does this place have one? I'd like to send a letter to my father. [ the camera lowers as she drops her arm, the feed now catching part of her face as she looks off to the side thoughtfully. ]

Perhaps they're not owls here. . . monkeys? They have been sent to space before. . . not quite the same as traveling through dimensions, but still. . . [ an airy sigh ] Muggles do the strangest things to animals.

[The message has to be short. Gwen, who is so very used to serving, is now the one being waited on. Her maid was really not a maid at all. Morgana was suddenly Gwen's mother, wanting her to stay in bed and rest after being away for so long. It was something Gwen completely understood, but she just needed to check in with people. And after getting mommy's permission, Gwen finally found the time to make this call.]

I will have to make this short, but if anyone has been looking for me, I have returned. I cannot apologize enough for my sudden disappearance. I shall be at home, resting, but I wanted to make sure that everyone is well.

[Morgana called for Gwen, wanting her to end the call and go to bed.]

I must be going, but please feel free to contact me. I would be grateful to hear from everyone to know that they are well.

[Gwen will be at home, Morgana right there by her side. Though visits are welcomed, Morgana might have to approve.]

[ This Disney princess thing seems to be going around because the camera jerks on as Mithian waves her hand about.] What---! [ There's a sort of squeak from Mithian and she seems to be batting something away from her face. Then she's lunging towards her wardrobe--] No, no! Get away from there. I said shoo-- [ Camera finally focuses on... well, birds. Little pretty birds who are trying to lift one of Mithian's heavy gowns up and bring it towards her. And failing. There are many of them but they can't seem to hold the thing up for very long before they start to lose their balance.] No, I... [ And again more sweeping gestures of her hands because there are more birds trying to mess with her hair, carrying flowers and ribbons.]

The animals have gone absolutely mad here. [ And in the background there's a chorus of birds and mice who seem to mimic what she says but in their mousey, birdy song, tweeting and squeaking.] They seem keen on dressing me.

[Loras is usually a well schooled face, only showing what he wishes to show, when he wishes it. Yes there are occasional falters, but nothing like this. He looks visibly distressed, panicked, even. Occasionally there is anger, and frustration--as if he is unsure what emotion he should settle on.]

I am--

[His voice sounds shaky, and he takes a deep breath, trying to gain control of himself. Running a hand through his curls, he speaks once more.]

Forgive me, I am looking for my sister, Margaery Tyrell. She is--she is not at her residence, and her things seem to be missing. I could not imagine she would move without informing me.

If something has befallen her, or if someone has taken her hostage, I would seek to find the truth.

She is my sister. I do not make this plea lightly.

[He has not even hazard the thought that she has been returned home.

Sad it hasn't passed through his mind, because that's exactly what happened.]

--hey, wait, come back here!

[Probably not the first thing you'd expect to hear from Merlin nowadays, but there you are. The viewers might get a glimpse of something small darting around the corner before Merlin directs the bracelet back to himself again. He looks frazzled, and not at all as withdrawn as he had been the last time he addressed the network. Perhaps it's because his sadness has been completely wiped out by his exasperation.

Merlin runs a hand through his hair, looking around the room--there's a trunk open on the floor behind him, and everything looks like it's been thrown around by a whirlwind.]

Right. Okay. Does anyone know how to deal with pokemon? I think that's what she called it. Kate's gone, and the green one she had found me somehow--I could swear she's been following me around the hospital all this time. [Feeling something watching him like that has been making him paranoid.] It's just...I finally caught her sneaking in here, and she's been doing this for the past couple of days.

[Here, Merlin plays some footage of the Snivy stalking him around the apartment.] Every time I try to touch her, she runs off. I know she's still around because she's been eating the food I leave out...and knocking my things over. I'd like a few pointers. Or a lot of them.

Anyway, I guess this is as good a time to discuss a few others things. I know a lot of you attended the last Teacher's Council meeting and I wanted to know what you all thought of the new set up. We're going to have another one soon so I'll need to know what to keep and what I should change.

And... [Merlin looks down for a moment.] Conan Edogawa's been sent home, too, if you didn't know. We were working on a guide of Yggdrasil together, and I guess its completion has fallen to me now. If anyone would like to help me put it together, I'd...appreciate it.

[ Not an unusual sight, Arthur being melancholy. It's been all too common these past months. He might like to change that. ]

By Asgard's measures, I've been here over a year now - near two-hundred and thirty days, if I've kept count correctly. [ He has. ] In that time, I have witnessed ... a great many things. I've seen peasants turned Knight, Princes turned King, Kings laid to their eternal rest. I've watched my men come and go, some more than once with no recollection of their previous incarnations.

I've seen war ravage this land with no surety that any of us would see the light of another day. I've watched my friends die - some, more than once. More than twice. [ A pause. ] I've bid farewell to more friends than I care to count, all of whom returned to whatsoever awaits them in their realms without so much as a whisper. They will not remember us or our trials. They may never return. Like paying respects to a ghost.

[ He misses Conan. And Kate. Mary, Sora, Robb. Too many to count. More than he cares to count. He inhales. Exhales. ]

A dear friend once told me that you ought to eat ice cream with the ones you care about. He took me to a parlour in Freya on numerous occasions. [ Because he cared. Arthur had a brother, once. He breathes deep again, and tries for a small smile. ] You might find me there today, if you'd care. My treat - and I swear on my honour not to be maudlin all over you. It's a terribly unbecoming thing for a king.

[ Another pause, and he might've made this next bit private, but it sends a message to more than just one. ]

Merlin, I expect to find you there at some point or another in the day. [ Arthur Squishyface Pendragon. Do not be rude. ] If it please you.

[ Better. Sort of. He's trying! And he will be sitting at a table at said NPC ice cream parlour in Freya, contemplating what flavour he ought to try this time, if you'd like to stumble upon him or meet up with the lonely King! ]
