[ Felix figures he might as well make a foray onto the network. He's been here long enough, at least, and branching out probably isn't a bad idea. So he makes his attempt: ]

so who else is on the welcoming squad thing?
maybe a piss poor choice for me, considering i've barely been here any time at all, but the girl with the clipboard didn't really seem to care either way, so here we are
better than joining up with the army and leaping headfirst into a big battle i reckon

which brings me to my next question:
how literal IS this war thing, anyway?
what the hell should i be expecting here?

[ He has to deliberate before finishing up with- ]

and a city full of hippie gods and magic has to be 420 friendly, right
please tell me this is the case

( the video begins with doctor mccoy, sitting at a desk in his room in sigyn. he looks particularly business-like, hair combed and expression serious, hands folded in front of him. before he speaks, he clears his throat—it’s almost as if he’s still a little uncomfortable to be addressing so many people at once, but that’s the only sign of it. )

Figure it’s best to get this out of the way while we’ve got the time. ( before another disaster or attack happens, he means. ) I like having a frame of reference—makes it easier to deal with people, and treat ‘em too, when you have to. I know we’re all working off the same magical system, here, but it’s better to account for specifics all the same.

That being said, here’s a list. Fill it out if you want, don’t bother telling me why not if you don’t want to. You can be as specific, or as vague, as you want, or leave out questions entirely if they bother you. If it makes you feel better, you can secure it and have my word as a doctor that I’ll keep it confidential.

( attached is this text form: )

name:
age:
species:
location prior to asgard: planet, city, country, realm, etc.
is your world more familiar with magic, technology/science, or both?:
which power did you receive in asgard?:
did you have any skills, powers or abilities that you lost once here?:
are conditions here generally better, worse, or the same as your prior location?:

That’s about all. Not much else to do on a rainy day, is there.

( ooc / a textbox, for convenience: )

[Sam hasn't posted on the network in awhile -- a month and a half, to be precise -- mostly because he's been busy. He's moved, he's working a lot, he's been dealing with his own... particular brand of issues.

But Asgard is having difficulty. Odin is in a coma and while Sam might hate the annoying pretentious prick, that's most definitely not a good sign. And while before Sam couldn't rationalize in his head that the end of this world meant the end of others -- now, it's a possibility, something he can't ignore.

He wants to stay here. He wants to stay, badly.

To do that, Sam needs to reach out and touch base on his resources.]

Hi, Asgard.

[He makes this speech too often, but it's gotten him a lot of good friends out of the deal. Information is pretty priceless, after all.]

I'm Sam Winchester. Some of you might've been given my guide to the gods upon arrival, so -- if you have any questions concerning this world, the powers you've been given, or what's happened here so far, you can ask me.

[He pauses.]

I usually don't ask for things in return, but -- how are the state of your worlds, at home, before you came here? Good, bad? Spectacularly awful? On the brink of collapse or the height of prosperity? I'm just... wondering.

[Another pause.]

-- thanks.

[Today, Asgard is getting a simple, unemotional, very bland classified ad from Pyro. All pretty rare, as he's usually got his sneering face and attitude plastered all over everything he says to the city, and he's certainly never presented himself in this capacity.]

Anybody who wants new housing but can't afford or wants something more interesting than the god real estate, there's a giant mushroom house in Gefion Park up for sublet. Room for about four, more if the upstairs suite's shared. It's more like a round cabin than a house, not that modern, but I bet some of you'd like that. All I pay is property tax, so I can keep rent cheap, but that doesn't mean you get to treat it like a cheap place. I'll be keeping an eye out: you trash it, I fucking trash you.

[Okay, there's a bit of passion, but that's why he chose for this to be text. In the end, he leaves it there, because people need to know that this house will be respected or faces will be broken.]

If you've got you and three or four other people ready right now that's even better, but I'll take people one room at a a time too as long as everyone can play nice once it's full. It's big, but that's for a mushroom.

Oh, and one of you should probably have Growth, because it was already wilting when I left. If you don't, I'll pay a Growth user to keep it alive and call it part of maintenance. So I guess this is a help wanted ad too, plant people, with the same rules. No slacking off.

You know who to call. The name's right there.

[And that's the whole message, giving absolutely no indication of why he's done this. His friends and hers will know immediately and will most likely respond with concern, maybe even disgust or anger that he's vacated Euri's handcrafted home… and they'll get brief, curt texts in return. Right now Pyro's got a void inside him like an ever-growing black hole, and if he actually looks at it head-on, it could swallow him. His concern over the concerns of others will have to to come way the fuck later.]

All that shit from the last couple of days... Man, that was crazy... What the hell happened? Is everyone fine now? [He did see a lot more people coming to the clinic than usual.]

When I think things are settling down, something weird happens again. Gods, if any of you are out there, I hope you guys are doing fine too, those screams were scary. [Not that he expects an answer.]

[Private to Tom, Annie and Alex]
You guys ok? I saw Annie during the craziness, but I haven't heard from Tom or Alex. Did you guys move in together already?

[Private to Beth]
Baby, are you safe?

[Turlough looks...well, slightly fidgety.]

I know this might be a stupid question. But what all do you give someone on Valentine's Day-either on your world or on Asgard? Dates are out of the question because of her...job, but I'd like to give her something anyway. I've had girlfriends before, but that was ages ago and we didn't really do Valentine's Day like you lot do it. [because whooo aliens!] And when I was on Earth, most of the time was spent in an English public school-not of my own choosing, mind you. [by the little scrunched up expression on his face, it's pretty obvious what Turlough thinks of English public school (it sucks.)]

So while I'm no stranger to the subject of love, I...sort of am to gifts. [it took him a lot of strength to admit that and now he's frowning a bit.] Any help would be appreciated.
