[See Road.

See Road eating a lollipop.

See Road eating a lollipop while perched on a churning washing machine.

See Road eating a lollipop while perched on a churning washing machine that is starting to very quickly overflow with frothy bubbles.

... most people would probably spend their first post blathering on about additional weird powers, or the lack thereof, or about how they may or may not have better things to do at home that they would rather be doing than whatever it is they are doing here.

Road is not most people.

And there are more important matters at hand, anyway. Such as:]

I want a new maid. Preferably one that isn't a stupid box.

[As well as:]

-- and a new dress. This one is wrinkled.

[Ladies and gentleman, Road Kamelot has entered the building.]

It's also advised that the residents of Hel should... probably watch their footing, lest they want to end up sprawling into the floor. But she isn't going to say that. Perhaps she'll get a show out of it.]

[[Residents of Hel, if you are passing by the laundry room and would like to nearly break your neck traversing soapy floors, or something, I am totally welcome to actionlogging!]]

[So for this evening, people over the bracelets may hear music. However as the video feed is on, the person playing said music on a violin he borrowed from the Draupnir while in a studio he rented for practicing can be seen. The prince also seems very into his practicing and while he may not be very familiar with the creator of these compositions, he studied enough of the music sheets to become familiar with how they're played and doing a pretty good job. After finishing though, he turns to the feed as seeing it's on and smiles.]

Ah greetings people of Asgard, my name is Enrique and I'm a Prince from the country of Valua. Though currently, I've become a member of the Sigyn house and one of the newest members of the Draupnir as of today at least. I also do invite people to come by and hear me play should you wish to even if this will be my first time playing before an audience, hopefully I won't be too nervous. [There's a small laugh in there.] And greetings to fellow members of the Draupnir as well, I do wish to meet all of you in due time.

Though I do have something else to ask of you fellow people, would anyone know of a place where I might be able to find supplies to build a ship? It sounds very odd to ask I know, but my friends from home and I wish to build a ship here in Asgard together. Thus I would greatly appreciate any help given to me and thank you humbly.

[ Okay. Time for me to face facts. This isn't a dream. Well, it might be some sort of magic shared coma dream--maybe Rena finally clonked me too hard; it'd explain Satoshi running around.

... ... ...No, that is pretty stupid.

Well. Time to make a first impression.
]

PEOPLE OF ASGARD, LISTEN! FELLOW MEMBERS OF HEIMDALL, LEND ME YOUR EARS!

I am here to introduce myself! It's only customary for us all stuck together in this place to come to know one another, so I will with this hand take center stage for the time I am entitled to!

[ At this point he stands atop his bed, stands straight, and POINTS with fervor at nothing. ]

This figure before you--this man standing before you!--is none other than--

[ He LEAPS from the bed and lands on the ground, spins, and POINTS with even more fervor at an equal amount of nothing. ]

--the one-and-only Keiichi!

[ Pause.

Then he laughs, falling back onto the bed.

Haha, that'd be pretty cool! But an over-the-top introduction like that isn't my style, so I'll go with something normal, even if it was fun to play out. Good thing I don't have a roommate! Now, I'll just get this thing working and give a toned down--

Wait. Is...This doesn't mean--

He leans in very, very, very closely to the translucent screen.
]

SUSPENSEFUL CUT )

[ for a minute there is nothing, and then you are given the view of a girl, though young, with a particularly regal bearing. she regards the view ahead of her with shrewd, violet eyes. at a glance she is nothing more than a especially lovely young woman, silver hair and strangely colored eyes glinting under the sun.

in her lap there is a brightly colored green dragon, no larger than a small dog, curled in her lap as if to bask under the bright sun. it's slightly larger brother curls around both shoulders of the woman in question, black as night with eyes as bright and red as hot coals. puffs of smoke escape from their nostrils.

when she speaks her voice is deliberate, measured and strong:]

I am told we are to fight a war, Asgard. We are given pretty words and baubles, magic.

[ those pale brows wrinkle ]

Yet among your 'army' I see children. I met a young girl when I first arrived, a man who had his own lands to account for. Do you think pretty words are enough to buy loyalty? If so I should like to learn your trade, for there are many and more besides that I would rally to my side in my own lands.

I see some of your gods, I see how they act playing as if it were a game and we nothing but common toys for their leisure. I did not imagine war to be so simple as that.

[ her jaw clenches subtly, a ripple of muscle against her smooth cheek. ]

To them I would ask: Where is my third dragon? His scales are white, I would not think him so difficult to find. I would direct this question and more to the people trapped alongside me. I care little if you are gods or not, you do not take what is mine without recieving justice for it.

[ she takes a quiet breath, and her face smoothes, and there is an undeniably gentler expression there, in mouth and eyes. ]

To those who share my plight, I would ask you instead, if you have seen him. He is no smaller than this green one here, and more precious to me than all I own. Should you know where he is, I will repay you, I swear it.

I would also ask whatever wisdom you might offer to the nature of this place, of currency, trade and other lands--if there are any to be trusted. I am far from my home, as are you all, and the more I learn, the better I can be made to help you and myself in kind. I have no wish to fight any more wars than I must.

[ she strokes the top of the green dragon's head ]

My third question would be if any of you hail from the kingdom of Westeros, or the continent of Essos. You have my thanks for any answers or words given.

Alright. Here's the deal.

[Nick's looking a bit more serious today, probably because that whole illness thing shook him up, though he would be loath enough to admit it. Being so helpless and watching people die around him- really, it's not like he cared, but the fact that he couldn't be in control while what was clearly an attack on the city was quite the horrible feeling indeed.

[But enough about that. He's making this post for quite a different reason. He hasn't figured out this filter thing yet, so he has to do the next best thing.]

I'm going to do a little poll right now. You see, I realized that when I got here that I wasn't the only inhuman species roaming around the place. So, here's the thing I want you to do for me- if you're not human, respond to me and tell me what you are and what's the deal behind your species, because I'm curious. Maybe there's something similar out there to what I am, I don't know.

...That being said, if you're homo sapien, human, whatever you call yourselves nowadays...don't bother answering. I've had enough of your kind enough in my life, alright? Get lost.

No, really.

[ooc: Nick is just trying to do a poll of how many inhuman species there are in Asgard, but feel free to have your human character comment too! Just because Nick is a jerk doesn't mean that I don't want all the CR for him. Open to all! :Ib]

action - locked to Karu )

[The older teenager looks very serious when she appears on the feed - she also has thin black hair pulled back into a high ponytail, dark and downtilted eyes, and a slightly round face. Familiar? Maybe. She's wearing a mens' shirt that's too big for her and a sarong that appears to have been sewn from a bedsheet, and if you thought you recognised her from her face, her body just might throw you off. Still, she's here to clarify.]

This is Mako Nakarai, or as most of you know me, Nakama. I appear to have been aged up at least three or four years, maybe more. But that's not what I'm here to talk about right now.

I've reviewed the videos from when I was gone to Utgard, and - [Her face goes pale, but she continues talking in a strong, determined voice.] - if there's still anything left to do, anything, I'd like to know. I'm so, so sorry I wasn't here to help all of you when such a terrible thing happened, but I hope I can make it up to you now. Like I said, any job that's left over is one that I'm willing to take, whether it's disinfecting hospital beds or helping healers with any lingering symptoms. Just tell me where I need to go.

[She bows deeply, her expression more troubled when she stands up straight.] Again, I'm sorry. Had I known... I never would've left.

[With that said, she filters away the rest of her post to the females of Asgard. Yes, she made a filter just for this. It's important.]

Um, that said, I am going to need some help... last time this happened, I was like this for a week, and I'm not really - equipped. [She blushes scarlet.] Can someone help me?

((ooc: forward-dated because I'll be at the dentist on thursday, and I don't know if I'll be up to posting. Sorry for any timeline troubles!))

[The video comes on as Finnick slowly works on something. It dips and comes back up, and then dips again. It becomes obvious that the thing that Finnick is working on is a large net. But why? Turning the camera to his face, as he smiles.]

So, I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get a trident? I probably need to get back into practice.

[He doesn't say for what]

Also I need to know how many people we can expect at the wedding so that I know exactly how much set up we need to plan for. Like I said before, the more the merrier, so even if you're new you're invited!

[There's something in his gaze that seems distant for a second, before he rubs at his forehead and and chuckles.]

Anyway, let me know.

[It's been a while, Asgard, since you saw your favorite clockwork angel. And this time, Cheriour surprisingly looks very annoyed.]

Really. Really? I mean, okay, what happened with the darkness coming to the city was very bad! And I don't even want to talk about what happened to me during that time. But this...what I've just discovered right now, this is the final straw!! People should never do this, it-it's despicable!

[And what is he so angry about, exactly? The camera turns slightly towards his other hand, which is holding something large and brown. Why, it's... a broken wooden cuckoo clock. Wow. Someone's a little touchy about timepieces being broken.]

I mean, you could totally fix this! Why throw it out? I mean, it tells time for you and all it needs is a little time and care to do that for you, that's all. But no, you treat it like trash. Garbage. Totally useless. But it isn't!

I'm really disappointed in the person who did this! Next time, if you want to throw a clock out, you come to me. Understand?

[A determined frown. He means business, okay.]

I will never let this happen again on my watch.

[This has been a PSA by the guy who has clocks for eyes. You may continue on with your regular lives, Asgardians.]

28 August 2012 @ 02:34 am
[The feed begins, and it shows something quite unlike what the vast majority of the city has probably seen. There is a young man, much redder in skin tone than humans, with fin-like ears and bright orange hair. He look very hesitant, almost afraid.]

... I was told that this would keep a record of what I am saying and doing. I was also told that I could speak to other people. I am... not really sure how that's supposed to work.

[His eyes shift.]

It's like this... thing is made of magic. Very detailed magic, but how would simple light be able to do... what that strange-looking woman told me it could?

[He's talking about the screen.]

I don't understand.

((OOC: prepare for an onslaught of questions. Kai's world has p. much no technology. Or mammals that aren't aquatic. Or temperatures below like 70F.))

08 August 2012 @ 12:05 pm
[Hinata seems less than entertained as he looks into the feed, visibly a little ragged.]

This again? I don't even remember getting hurt this time.

[He strains to remember if he was doing anything reckless or death-inducing before being transported to Asgard, failing to recall anything notable, he pouts a little, looking off to the side.]

...Does this mean I can die? Like... permanently?

[He briefly considers asking a mean-looking girl to kick him off a roof to test the theory, but if he's been reincarnated or something, he probably shouldn't risk it. Actual death isn't any fun. Well... neither is immortal death, it still hurts, but at least you wake up!]

Well... if anybody recognizes this... [He shows off the patch on the shoulder of his uniform jacket.]

Cut for image )
...I want to talk to you! ...unless your name is Noda... or Yui... or...

[He trails off.]

Have... have I been obliterated!? [Suddenly PANIC. Then the feed goes dark.]

10 July 2012 @ 08:35 pm
[And after a whole afternoon of exploring and using this new bracelet of hers to answer some questions of her own, Eve has finally sat down somewhere in her respective Welcome Hall to scan the network. It seemed like another social tool, albeit a freakish and magical one, so she figured it would be a good idea to make use of it.

Making sure she looks confident and presentable, she turns on the video function with a friendly smile. If she was going to do this, she was going to do it right and without looking like a total newbie.]

Y'know, when I started to do my Christmas to-do list, I guess I must have forgotten to include "get kidnapped by Norse mythology". My bad. [Laughing, just a bit. She's actually annoyed by this, but she won't let it show any time soon.] Anyways... this is for introductions, right? Right.

Name's Eve Samson. Human, 17, and from a small watery planet known as Earth. I doubt there's many of you haven't heard of it. [Seeing as the majority of the people she spotted looked human, of course. But maybe that was just an assumption, all things considered.] Not... that it matters much, since I'm not there anymore. I was placed in some district called Baldr, and I dunno what that means, but I'm guessing I should be thankful I'm not in the one named after the dude who banged a horse. I think.

[Smoooooth, gurl, sharing her teeny fraction of Norse mythology knowledge right there. She pauses for a moment, as if trying to decide what to say next, before sighing and continuing.]

I already looked through this for some answers, so I'll skip the newbie questions and get to the juicy bits. Two juicy bits, to be precise.

One, how many of you here aren't human? I want names, species and current status. [Saying this like she's completely and utterly entitled to this information, yep...] And, two... does anyone know where to find a medieval Burger King or something like that? I'm starving.

Where I come from, most cultures have their own takes on the otherwordly, the supernatural. As shown in this entry, many of you are familiar with the lore of your world and even have had your own encounters with them.

Let me ask you this, to supplement the previous question: What creatures or supernatural beings of your world are generally portrayed in a negative light? Of those, do any have a particular fascination with blood?

Discuss as you will.

[Video Filtered to the Forensics Unit a short while later:]
Ladies, gents, I hope you're in the mood for work. We have another body.

[Aerith's been pretty busy ever since arriving, though a bit unsettled by her new surroundings at first. yeah, she might have spent a large chunk of her life on a world that wasn't actually her own, spontaneous world travel wasn't exactly something she has a lot of experience with, either.]

[regardless! sometimes other worlds need more assistance than her own does, and Aerith is more than willing to help out. besides, seeing a bunch of people from different places gathered into one area is pleasantly familiar. no need to worry about breaking the rules about different worlds here.]

[so have a smiling face, Asgard.]

Hello! I have a quick question for everyone – there are a lot of people here from a lot of different places, so I'm hoping there are others here who would know.

Is anybody else familiar with hearts? Not just the organ; I mean more like the hearts that pertain to worlds themselves.

If you do, let me know. I have an idea.

I don't understand why everyone is freaked out. I mean, we'll have to put off the plant-gathering expedition outside the gate until the flood clears up but otherwise this is great! It's water! Everywhere! And not even a drop to drink.

[ All right that was a bad joke. But she's distracted, splashing around as she makes her way through the city on what looks like a plank using her non-braceleted hand as an oar. Normal broadcasts are obviously never happening. ] So— Right! Okay. This doesn't actually have anything to do with the water but I was wondering...

DOES ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE FOLLOWING?
- Interpretive dance
- Explosives
- Guitars (electric or otherwise but preferable electric because electric guitars are basically amazing)
- Okay ANY instruments really
- Ballet
- Flying trapeze
- Toothpaste
- Paper cuts

That last one is EXTREMELY EXTREMELY important. Because you can't go snorkeling with a potentially fatal injury.
[ You can't go snorkeling in twelve inches of water anyway... ]

Oh, and PS? I'd really like to thank everyone who was involved in the birthday party for me and Nakama. I wouldn't have wanted to turn eighteen any other way and... the presents were all amazing. So— Really. Thank you.

You know, lately Mayushii has been feeling kind of lonely. Sometimes I feel so sad I think I might cry, but it all stopped when everyone was giving each other hugs. Then Mayushii realized everyone's really friendly!

Hm...

There's someone I really miss from home. I sewed Okarin a new lab coat in case he comes here one day. Mayushii thought it'd be nice if he would get lots and lots of hugs too.

Can we sing more songs again sometime?

Hi Asgard.

[ Rapunzel isn't really looking at the screen. Though she throws a distracted wave in its direction with one hand, moving a paintbrush with the other. She's in an alleyway that's just wide enough to be spacious and narrow enough to be innocuous, hanging from something that's just off camera and looking for all the world like what's behind her is normal.

It's all pretty much par for the course with her, really. The massive building wall covered in words too many and small to be properly read, illustrations, bits of paper, and random scraps of junk pasted or hung over them and connected by string. Its all normal.

Normal in the way that being totally batshit is normal. ]

So. Aha. I was wondering if someone could maybe help me out? I've sort been keeping track of things. Things I've learned. [ yeah only sort of ] It's easier that way! When stuff is organized. I like that. Don't you? I like understanding things and taking them apart and breaking them down so they're all nice and sorted. And there's a lot to learn here so keeping track of it is very important.

But one of the things I've been keeping track of? It's the plants. See? Right here underneath - uh. Nuclear physics. I've noticed that there are certain plants are around in the park that are around during my birthday. Which makes me wonder if it isn't around that time of year because it's warm and summery and - even if we don't really know the months it kinda fits?

Aaaanyway. [ She smiles and finally looks up from her current painting, the beginnings of a mural inspired by Asgard itself. ] I was thinking I could find a nice leaf for my birthday. There's a certain leaf I've always wanted to have. And I thought it might be fun to go on an adventure looking for it! And...looking for other things too. Like - clues I guess. So if anyone wants to go on an expedition that would be amazing. And - Heh. I would be very grateful.

A.
if someone who had a big influence on you

someone who maybe even changed your life

didnt remember you any more

what would you do?

B.
[ alternatively, she can be found sitting alone on a field of grass with Reshiram lying beside her. she's stroking his head with care, but the look on her face is a sad one - maybe even a little blank. to anyone else a girl petting her dragon in the middle of a park might be a bit strange looking, but she needed to be somewhere with the one piece of home she had left. ]

Tutturu! ~♪

Hello!

Mayushii here!

You know, Mayushii has been working very hard on a costume for someone! I never got her name, but she was shy and cute!

If I can't find her then it'll be a huge waste.

[And then she holds up a costume resembling the clothes on this character ]

It's Seira Orgel from the Blood Tune anime! Will someone try it on for me? Please?

[Oh look everyone, you've got a Fluttershy on your screen. She seems preoccupied with something but she looks at the feed with purpose.]

Um, hello, everypony.

I've been thinking sort of lately. And I was curious about something. If you care to answer...

[Her mumbling falls off into something only she can understand and she speaks up again after a moment.]

What sorts of things frighten you? Or make you nervous?

Like... Um, I'm afraid of talking to somepony new, and loud noises, and dragons, and storms... Oh gosh, storms. Or that somepony might not like me or make fun of me for something that I've done and--...

[Oh right.]

Oh... And how do you help get over those fears?

[A long, awkward pause--]

... Thank you very much for listening. I hope that somepony is interested in answering this. But you really don't have to. I promise.

Oh.
