[ the camera focuses on France and when he's confident the bracelet is working right, he flashes a bright smile. ]

Bonjour, Asgard!

Very soon, I will begin preparations for Halloween! I think that's two days after today-?

[ he's not certain because of the time difference between Asgard and the other worlds, but at least it sounds right to him? ]

The magnifique Francis Bonnefoy, that is, I, shall be making the very best of French sweets for the citizens of Asgard to enjoy! I will also be showing off my fabulous costume and teach about Halloween for those who do not know of it, as well! I expect to see you there!

So, I was thinking. [ Oh man, that's how like, all of the weirdest posts start off as, right? Good god, prepare yourself, Asgard. ]

I had a really successful concert a while ago. Which is cool, which is great! I mean, I was starting to question having a guitar that lacked an amp because the difference in the amount of noise you could make was... well, a real turn-off. Basically the more sounds that booms the better, right?

Well, I'm taking a poll, mostly because I'm conflicted — like all great musical geniuses. Something like that. No clue whatsoever how to make one of those fancy forms, so just answer the following, man:

- Is bigger better?
- Difference between needing/getting. Go.

And for the essential question (because it's like, the most important part):

- If a train full of art thieves leaves Thneedville at 9:51PM... from a recent raid of the local museum, would it be a real loss, at all, if they NEVER realized that a hoard of gold was hidden behind the ugliest painting there — one they didn't even look twice at?

Yes, I actually used my valuable time to come up with these questions. So... answer them? Please.

P.S Oh, look. I managed to type all of this with my gloves on. Ha!

PP.S Why are there people with colored text here? Can I get some of that?

[ He doesn't really have this whole bracelet thing down yet, but at least he manages to switch the feed on and you're all greeted by the blond's smiling face. From the looks of it, he's balancing on one foot, swaying every few seconds while the recording's going on. Congrats, you get a free mini amateur show instead of having to go all the way to the circus. ]

Hi everyone! For those I haven't met my name is Momiji Souma, its very nice to meet you! I have a question, do you want to hear it? Sehr gut! Does anyone play instruments? I'm going to try playing something on one foot like this-- [ The bracelet is angled down to give a brief glance at his feet, with one being lifted a bit higher and pointed outwards to the side. ]

I bet if you're really talented and practice a lot you can pull it off. You all should try it too! It'll be really fun!

[ On the screen appears a rather attractive Frenchman; dressed more casually rather than wearing his standard uniform. France seems rather comfortable despite his current predicament of being new to Asgard. He's found his way around easily enough, however, and learnt the basic information he needed to learn. While he's not so great with computer like devices, he's finally figured out how to get onto the network. ]

Bonjour, Asgard! You may call me Francis Bonnefoy.

I come from the lovely country of France! Have you heard of it?

I suppose I have to accept this mission to "restore the color to Asgard", non? Regardless if I have to or not, I will accept. I come from the country of love, after all!

It'd be lovely if you'd introduce yourselves to me!

[ his laid back attitude changes to a more serious one at this point, though the bright smile he's wearing never leaves his face. ]

Also, by chance, would anyone have information on an Arthur Kirkland?

[She has something very important to discuss.]

Alright. I haven't been here long and I need to know about the people around me a little more. Let's see....

....Okay, I got it. Little sisters. What do you think about them? Cute, not cute? Don't you just want to hold them and.... and.... [she trails off a bit after saying that. She clears her throat, hiding that grin of hers before she goes back to glaring at the bracelet.]

Got it?! Let's just talk about little sisters!

[ Usually, Red finds not that many reasons to post on the network nor has he been using it lately due to circumstances. EITHER WAY, Backdated to day 152... Because this is really concerning and he doesn't want to waste milk here. Why...?! Because someone thought it would be a great thing to purchase ninety bottles of it. Which would be fine!

If they would fit in the fridge.
]

Does anyone need milk? Or are willing to lend out their fridge for storage.

A C T I O N
[ Otherwise you'll probably find him and Pikachu around with this basket of milk... Giving them out, giving out bowls to cats (that may or may not be following him on his trek), selling them to people hanging around bakeries; he needs to get rid of at least most of these. Also he dropped like... 40 bottles at the other Pokemon Trainers' house, if you're wondering. Good luck with that.

If you're a small child, you'll probably get one for free. Yeah.

I'M SO SORRY, KYO-KUN! I'LL END YOUR MISERY RIGHT NOW!

[Ritsu, kimono version, is standing on a window still, after having pushed open the windows. Wait a minute... he's not really going to...]

I'LL END THE MISERY OF EVERYONE WHO EVER HAD TO ASSOCIATE WITH ME! I'M SO SORRRYYYYYYYYY!

[He is! He's going to jump! He jumps!

... and lands flat on his face on the grass. Helps that he had this breakdown on the first floor

[ If looks could kill, anyone on the receiving end of the feed would have to say their prayers and wish for the best. While her eyes vaguely hint with a vague, possible murderous intent, she appears relatively calm and composed for someone who's just been kidnapped and prepping for a rant, albeit her tone has a certain venomous edge to it.

She purses her lips, tilting her head to observe the bracelet. ]

One word: tacky. You would think gods would at least be able to afford Tiffany's. What, is this place just filled with criminally awful fashion choices?

[ Priorities. She rakes a hand through her hair, trying to will away the exhaustion that seeps into her voice. ]

Okay, right. Norse gods who recruit teenagers and elven soldiers, apparently. [ Guess who did her homework by briefly browsing the important posts on the network? ] Even if the rest of this little performance sounds like a bad plot for a B-rated fantasy movie, forebodingly talking about preparing for battle like it's at our doorstep — their doorstep — isn't very comforting.

[ She pauses, raking a hand through her hair and biting her lip to stifle an approaching frown or fatigued sigh. ]

Serious question here. Since we can't click our heels three times and leave of our own free will, does this place have any redeeming qualities?

18 September 2012 @ 07:46 pm
Right. Magic communications system activate.

[The feed flicks on to show a young girl in a red dress. She's young, early twenties at the latest, and she has a big smile on her face. As though this entire situation is highly entertaining.]

Oh, there it goes. So easy it's almost boring. I suppose I can't modify it either.

[She shakes her head, amused.]

So. Gods. Gods and magic in a dying world. Normally I'm a skeptic but there's little room for disbelief here. Though, I must say they're a little desperate for Gods if they're picking up dead girls to do their bidding. Is everyone here dead or is that just a personal problem? Also human again, that's nice. Sure did miss doing my hair.

[A cough.]

Anyway, suppose this is where I drop an introduction to my new world saving friends, isn't it? Oswin Oswald. Girl genius, rather sexy, now part of Odin's house. Also Junior Entertainment Manager on the luxury starliner The Alaska. Well former. Ship crash ended that job. There! Introduced.

[She moves to turn off the feed before pausing.]

Oh yes. And if you've seen a man with floppy hair, terrible fashion, and an impressive chin and his pal with the nose. Tell him I'm here and waiting.

15 September 2012 @ 06:13 pm
[Today Asgard you'll see a young man inside the library with various stacks of books surrounding him on your screens with him appearing to be skimming one of the books in his hand. Seems the bracelet also decides to turn itself on while he was having some deep thoughts going on.]

So many books in this library and yet I've not found one that tells me how to leave this world. [There's a sigh that follows while he's continuing skimming the pages of his current book, maybe this will be the one.] My circumstance currently is quite particular in itself as well. One moment I'm at Mount Kazai in Yafutoma, now I'm in this strange world that I'm fairly certain isn't apart of Arcadia. I do wonder if I'll be able to find some type of passage in one of these books that explains how exactly I was brought here.

[He then sets down the book he was reading and closes it promptly, nope not this one either. His head then turns up to look at the ceiling.] I can't stay in this world knowing my friends are back at home needing my help. Vyse, Aika, Fina... I promise I'll find a way back to Arcadia and we'll finish our mission together. I won't abandon that duty with the possibility of the Armada getting their hands on the crystals or...my mother. [He sighs yet again and picks up another book to continue his research.]

[ooc: Enrique has no idea the bracelet is on, feel free to stun him via voice or video.]

[Ritsu, today in women's garb, has decided to be of some 'help' today. He's standing outside the Sigyn house, and holding a white sign with black bold lettering. It reads "Male".

He's also purposely left the bracelet on, so others can see this. He smiles cheerfully, and hums a little. He thinks this is the best way to let people know he is, in fact, a guy
.]

04 September 2012 @ 10:39 pm
[ The feed today is brought to you by Thneedy Industries, Inc. Needless to say, by the Once-ler himself, free o' charge.

Basically there's this 6'4 skinny guy in a really crazy suit, looking at the camera with the most serious and intimidating-as-he-can-manage face. He's standing in front of a few trees in Gefion Park, tapping his green-gloved hand on the screen, as if making sure it's on.
]

Hi.

[ A moment of silence before he continues. ] So. I've been examining my situation here, and well... [ He gives a small sigh, shutting his eyes briefly. ] It's not pretty -- just like these trees.

[ He motions to the bark and the leaves, all which appear less grey than usual. ] Not soft, not soft enough... [ Ignore the mumbling. ] Alright, two things.

First -- I need to know where I can find a... [ How to phrase this.. ] weapon? No, not anything dangerous enough to hurt someone, because I'm not planning on hurting anyone. Just something rudimentary, like an, uh, axe. [ Please don't let anyone catch on. ] Yeah, that's it.

Second -- has anyone seen a really short guy here? He's orange. And furry. Not to mention annoying. Chances are he's not here, and that's fine. I'd actually like you all to point him in my opposite direction -- should you see him, that is -- but it's more than likely that none of you will bother. [ He rubs the area above his mouth, raising his eyebrows at no one in particular. ]

In fact, I can pretty much see everyone here doing quite the opposite. [ He blows air at his bangs. ] Yikes.

Anyway, one last thing -- can whoever's seeing this answer a really important question for me? Are you.. real?

[ The feed sits there for a minute or two, before the Once-ler realizes to turn it off. Wait, that was three things, wasn't it...? ]

[When the recording starts, the Doctor is busy poking around and checking the functions of the bracelet, so maybe it was turned on by accident, maybe not. He’s talking, and it certainly isn’t to the network, so it might seem very accidental.

But who knows. Maybe even he doesn’t.

The surroundings behind him are moving and his footsteps can be heard, so he’s definitely pacing as he talks. Occasionally, Rory comes into view.]

--separated from the TARDIS. That’s fine, not new, it happens, we’re always reunited in the end, that’s fine.

[Not that he sounds like he really thinks it is.]

Cut for tl;dr )

((OOC: The Doctor's first post with a Rory cameo... thing. Not really an intro, because he's all dived into this business ok he's got dis. Oh, and it's after his thread in the mingle log. The Doctor is just black, and poor Rory's one line outside brackets is blue.))

[ Obon had already passed by the looks of the seasons, but that doesn't stop some people from celebrating it and doing something remotely related to the summer season. Normals always told their friends ghost stories around this time of the year, so some practice will do her good. It isn't often that this particular deep, spooky voice crops up on the network, but the time she chose was a particularly quiet one in the evening. Those who know her will be able to discern its owner - Yozora. This gloomy tone is the one she usually speaks with, but it sets the mood perfectly. ]

The end of summer, the start of fall. It is during these two seasons that the world pays its respects to the spirits of the afterlife. I wouldn't say that those of this ethereal plane are above us, figuratively speaking. Yet for many generations, haven't humans always been most afraid of what they don't know? Strange occurrences that cannot be explained, - it's almost laughable how these mysteries hold so much power over us.

[ She cackles, and she didn't even need to practice two hours to perfect it. There is nothing but silence that follows. ]

What if I told you they were true? Just because we cannot comprehend these happenings doesn't allow us to simply dismiss them. Although belief is waning, tradition remains strong. There must be a reason behind it all, don't you agree?

Well then, shall we revive that tradition tonight?

I heard this from a local in the Baldr district. It happened long before the disease spread, when the city still had its color...

[Today Beato addresses her fellow travelers much like she has on other occasions, seated primly in the drawing room of Loki House, a warm cup of black tea at her elbow. There's an entire tea set on the table, as well, and it looks like a fair few empty cups are sitting around the table]

In light of our recent scolding for not being quite social enough, it occurs to me that there must be quite a lot going on around here that I am missing out on. So with that in mind, I invite any who are interested to join me here in Loki House for a small tea party.

I would so dearly love to hear a fresh bit of gossip.

[Nakama's not looking quite so sickly the next time she appears on the network feed - she's been getting treatments from Dr. Watson that are at least resting her body, if not her mind. There's a figure behind her as well, hair slightly and unevenly shorn but still recognisable as Karuika Mirel. He's not exactly hiding, but it's clear that she's in charge of this post.]

Hello, everyone. Karu had an idea for another event we could do ourselves, just as travelers, and I wanted to run it past everybody and see what you thought.

If we find a good spot, we could light a controlled bonfire - sort of to represent the gift that light was to us recently - and people could write down any of their worries and concerns and throw them into the fire. I'm sure we've all got things still weighing on our mind, and it would be a way to purge yourself of them and move on.

[She glances behind her, murmuring under her breath.] Was that alright?

Perfect, Nakama. [His voice is warm and encouraging. He adjusts the red headband covering his usually obvious ears and turns to address the network himself:] Is this something transients -- ah, travelers -- would attend? I plan to string lights around the city. With any luck, they will become colored lights by the end of the night.

Think of it as rebirth.

So just let us know, okay? Thank you for listening.

((ooc: replies may come from one or both of them! If you're mean to Karu, you're guaranteed to get a Nakama, though.))

Now that things have calmed down a bit- [ Freak rainstorms don't count. ] I would very much like to know where I can go to get a good drink. That is, whatever you find to be — by your estimate — the best place in this city.

I have promised to take someone drinking, you see, and he is, how to say, a very little bit picky. I wouldn't want to find myself further in debt to him because I chose a place that was not to his liking — although I may already be simply for saying he is picky.

I am very sorry if I have bothered anyone and would like to thank anyone who might be able to help. Farewell!

[ With an oddly sort of cheery smile, he then promptly signs off. ]

[ How about that rainstorm, Asgard? Guess who was walking to work this morning and got caught in it? ]

[It's video when the feed starts up. There's a shock of white hair and bright red eyes peering out from behind a certificate-like piece of paper that she's holding up to the bracelet's camera. Along the bottom it's been signed twice: once in the Asgardian script everybody learns upon arrival, and another time in a language that will be pretty, but a lot less familiar. Both look surprisingly elegant - who knew Euri had good penmanship??]

Here it is, a stupid formality. [Then she quickly switches back over to audio.]

Back home we'd just follow a logical moral code - I dedicate myself to the appropriate acquisition and usage of materials blah blah blah let my ancestors and the god whose domain I utilize rot out my insides and return me to the lands from which we were born should I disgrace them - instead of having to go through useless tests and paperwork to get access to magical plants. I guess this is better than nothing, though.

[After all that her voice turns very, very dry.] It means after this sleeping recipe is finished I can start working on turning you all into frogs like a proper Witch. [That's for you Senji!!]

Greetings everyone!

My name is Shino Amakusa. It's come to my attention that some people around here don't attend school. As the president of a Student Council, I can't let that stand. Unfortunately, I can't run a school on my own and neither can anyone else my age.

So, in it's place, I'll be remaking a new Student Council! It'll be the Asgard Student Council, of course. With myself and Aria, we have two members. A proper club should have at least five but we can take on a lot more.

As a Student Council, our creed will be to get everyone interested in taking part in the activities this place has to offer! Not only that but we'll help out others with their problems and jobs. Because it's a club that helps out others, I don't expect a lot of volunteers but I'll be pleased with everyone who wishes to join.

All that I ask is you fill out a small survey and post it here and I can accept you as a full member.

For females...

For males... [Warning: this one is a bit work inappropriate]

Thanks for your time and triple thanks to anyone who volunteers.
