Yo, Asgard!

*As opposed to some of the broadcasts lately, this one is opening with somebody grinning and not to be rude about it.*

Sooooo we just delayed the so-called end of the world! I get why some of you are mourning and moping about, but as far as I'm concerned, a time like this calls for one thing and one thing alone! Celebrating!

I mean, come on. It's not gonna solve anything to get all depressed, right? Times like these are exactly when we should form up and have some fun so we can keep moving forward.

So! Roll call, Asgard! If you're up for a good time, head on over to the Loki house! Whether it's for food, or just for a good time, I guarantee you won't be bored once I lead you around!

[So. Have you all noticed that mysterious flying ship that’s been helping you out since the battle started?

Well Freya & Freyr are addressing you from that ship right now. It’s a pretty nice ship, as things go, even if it is not in the water where it ought to be. As for the twins, they’re looking a little tired, but they are putting on reassuring faces anyway.]

[Freya speaks first with a cool smile.]

Greetings, Travellers. And congratulations on surviving your first battle.

[Or, you know...”surviving”, for those of you that might not have.]

You may have noticed our ship--

My ship.

[She shoots her brother a playful glare.]

Oh, I see. Well, if it’s your ship, then please, by all means!

[She gestures toward the feed, eyebrows raised.]

[Freyr sighs, rubbing his face in an unusually inelegant gesture of weariness.]

We thank all of you for your efforts on and off the battlefield. You are all brave and strong people, and we could not do this without you. We can only hope this fight will be the last one and we will be able to release you after.

Additionally, please forgive our delay in reviving those Travellers who have fallen so far. Doing so is a greater cost in our power than going on without them. We will restore them as soon as it is possible and practical.

[One content nod of approval from the female twin, and they’re out.]

[ooc: Freya & Freyr. Responses can come from any gods, so you can address someone specific in your comments if you'd like!]

[When the feed starts, there is a gentle bleating and a rather harried looking Hibiki on the screen. Around her head, an agitated hummingbird zips around. Now, what could this possibly be about?]

U-umm... On the way to the hospital, I saw a lot of sheep eating away at the plants, and I thought I could feed them a little treat. To thank them for clearing the way. But...

[Her head dips and she moves the screen, giving a great view of a small flock of sheep that are happily following her.]

Th-they won't stop following me! What should I do? I don't think I can take them to the hospital with me...

[Action]

[Around the city, you may encounter Hibiki and her hummingbird buddy doing one of two things!

A. Dashing from one end of the street to the other, followed closely by the sheep, or

B. Sitting down for a break from all that running around, still surrounded by said sheep who are now nudging her affectionately. The little guys sure are attached to her for some reason!

There's something I've been thinking about for a while now. I want to build an airship. I've been here a few months now, and it feels strange being stuck on one island for so long, especially an island as big as this one.

So, I was wondering if anyone had experience with building ships? Or just mechanics in general, and would know how to make some of the parts? I'm sure there are schematics in the library, though Vyse and Enrique would know that better than me. The main thing I'm worried about is what sort of fuel it would run on, since there don't seem to be any moonstones in Asgard.

Oh, right! Aoto said that the airships in his world were probably very different to the ones I'm thinking of, so I drew a picture of one!

OOC cut for crappy artwork )

If you help out, we might make you part of our crew! Vyse is the captain, before anyone tries to claim that one.

And then, a few minutes later, she adds: ]

[Today Asgard you'll see a young man inside the library with various stacks of books surrounding him on your screens with him appearing to be skimming one of the books in his hand. Seems the bracelet also decides to turn itself on while he was having some deep thoughts going on.]

So many books in this library and yet I've not found one that tells me how to leave this world. [There's a sigh that follows while he's continuing skimming the pages of his current book, maybe this will be the one.] My circumstance currently is quite particular in itself as well. One moment I'm at Mount Kazai in Yafutoma, now I'm in this strange world that I'm fairly certain isn't apart of Arcadia. I do wonder if I'll be able to find some type of passage in one of these books that explains how exactly I was brought here.

[He then sets down the book he was reading and closes it promptly, nope not this one either. His head then turns up to look at the ceiling.] I can't stay in this world knowing my friends are back at home needing my help. Vyse, Aika, Fina... I promise I'll find a way back to Arcadia and we'll finish our mission together. I won't abandon that duty with the possibility of the Armada getting their hands on the crystals or...my mother. [He sighs yet again and picks up another book to continue his research.]

[ooc: Enrique has no idea the bracelet is on, feel free to stun him via voice or video.]

*Greetings, Asgard. Today your bracelet mounted video feed is focused on the area out front of the Loki house! Where there is a rather alarming pile of weapons stacked up. Most of which look to be highly impractical looking drill-based-weaponry. ... and a few well made two handed swords.*

This is just depressing. I've been working on all this since day once almost, yet I still can't get a properly functioning drill based weapon going. Closest I can get is drill fists, but it's not like those can spin... I really should have tried to sneak off with some of the stuff from those pointy eared visitors.

*Aoto gives a small kick to the pile, hefting up one of said drill fists. It is exactly what it sounds like. A drill you put over your hand and punch someone with. ... Or as the case would be even if it doesn't spin, pierce them with.*

Ahhhh... This would all be so damn cool if I could get them to work. All this free time here just makes me think up awesome stuff like this, yet it's all a bust! *SIGH.* Haaa... Don't suppose any of you properly manly men out there have an interest in drill-based weaponry?

... ... or the extra swords, I guess. If you're feeling boring.

Good morning, Asgard. To the new entries of this period, my name is Hanako Ikezawa and I'm from Sigyn.

[ Hanako doesn't sound too cheerful, but she feels way better than the wreck she used to be a few days ago. Even so, it's still gratingly different than her previous post in which she even used the video feature, a rare occurence, courtesy of her great mood.

There's the light patting noise of rain hitting the window of her room. ]

After the happenings of over a week ago, I was thinking of replanting some trees and flowers in Gefion park. I could do it by myself with my powers, but if you'd like to contribute, please don't hesitate coming over. I'll be there tomorrow for the whole afternoon.

[ Pausing for a moment. ] To Euri-san, and everyone else who was interested... As for the Nightlight club's first meeting... I was thinking to set it the day after tomorrow, in the Tea Room at the Library, 3 PM at the earliest. I'm sorry for the stunning delay, but the recent happenings heavily influenced it. I hope the meeting will be culturally fruitful.

Thank you for your time.

[ After that... last piece of booksmart wording, she shuts the feed off. ]

If you could send one message to someone that wasn't here.

What would it be?

Action;;

[Even a week after the Darkness attacks, there's been a lot on Riku's mind. The nightmares keep coming and the memories from his time as Taken are completely restored, which isn't... a good thing in his mind.

He's even stopped training for a while, and now can be found sitting on the bleachers of the sports fields, one leg bent so that he could rest his chin on his knee, looking pensive. Having not retrieved his Keyblade from Sora, he doesn't have much other than training swords to practice with, but he's not exactly sure he wants his Keyblade back just yet.

Or at all, really.]

28 August 2012 @ 02:34 am
[The feed begins, and it shows something quite unlike what the vast majority of the city has probably seen. There is a young man, much redder in skin tone than humans, with fin-like ears and bright orange hair. He look very hesitant, almost afraid.]

... I was told that this would keep a record of what I am saying and doing. I was also told that I could speak to other people. I am... not really sure how that's supposed to work.

[His eyes shift.]

It's like this... thing is made of magic. Very detailed magic, but how would simple light be able to do... what that strange-looking woman told me it could?

[He's talking about the screen.]

I don't understand.

((OOC: prepare for an onslaught of questions. Kai's world has p. much no technology. Or mammals that aren't aquatic. Or temperatures below like 70F.))

[Ritsu, being the fail that he is, hasn't realized he's left the video on his bracelet on. So, whether you're there or not, you get to see him walk out of Sigyn House - in "men's" attire, no less! - ready to explore this place on his own!

... And then chicken out and run back inside, slamming the door.

... And then, after a minute, boldly getting over his fear, opening the door, and stepping out again!

... And then chicken out again and run back inside.

This keeps happening. Enjoy the show?

[At first Bianca wasn't sure if she was using the bracelet correctly. She was sure she followed the instructions but nothing is happening. After staring at it intensely for a couple of seconds, she figured it probably was working. If not, ...oh well]

Um...now that everything is over, I was hoping that maybe we can use something to make everyone happy! So I thought that we can play a game! I want to learn more about other people's worlds and in return, you get to know about mine!

One person says a word and the next person must say another word but the first letter must begin with whatever the last letter was! For example, if person one says "Psychic" the next person must say something that begins with the letter C. It could be anything ranging from Cat or Color or...something!

So I'll start off by saying Grass! Now you go!

[Pause] Um...if it's not too much trouble, I want to ask if there's anyone here who knows how to use a weapon...

[Somewhere outside today in some random, everyday, nondescript location is rather happy looking girl just... sitting and smiling. What she's looking at in particular though will be constantly changing though as, well, she's out people watching today! And she's clearly excited about it just giving her a passing glance.

If the intense staring isn't strange enough, depending on what she sees she might be reacting pretty crazily too. If someone is sitting elsewhere and looks like they're concentrating hard on something, Akari will look like she's thinking just as hard. If someone trips or looks like they're taking a long time to talk, she'll get worried and might even say to herself, "Will they reach their location before the day ends like this?!" Or if someone is just passing by normally, she'll still look on smiling happily.

Whatever she sees happening, if someone happens to look her way, Akari will give a friendly wave right away.]

[If Hibiki’s previous post was filled with determination, this one is filled with heartbreak. Her small body shakes with sobs, and her face is red and streaked with tears. She takes a deep breath, dragging a sleeve over her face; not that it helps much, since the sleeve is already quite waterlogged. But it helps clear her tears, if only for a moment before they come springing back into her eyes.]

Sh-Shi-chan… her name isn’t-

[Her expression crumples, and she chokes back another sob.]

-it isn’t on the bracelet anymore, so if anyone wants to talk to her she’s… She’s not here. That’s all.

[And with that, she fumbles to turn off the feed. The last sounds relayed are her quiet cries.

Unless someone can coax her out of her room, Hibiki will not be at any of her usual haunts today.

Look, I'm just going to be honest for a minute here.

What makes you people trust each other? I've been here for a couple months and I've run into nothing but people that put their faith in people blindly. It's just... it's kind of disturbing! Are you all idiots, or something?

[ Woah, take it easy, Painwheel. Deep breaths, you know there's no reason to yell at anyone... ]

All I'm saying is that if you trust a lot of people and make friends easily, you should step back and be a little more careful. With so many people here, there are bound to be some people who aren't so trustworthy, alright?

[ And with that, she's done. Way to blatantly mask your own insecurities, Carol. ]

[ crash crash bang crash. The graceful sounds of a troll literally tripping over his malfunctioning, robotic feet. It turns out that being a native is not exactly great when dealing with increasingly busted technology. Or stairs.

Careful as Tavros usually is, the world conspires against him.

But Tavros has finally relocated his bracelet! There's a flash of a grin before there's a sudden solid THUMP as his left knee gives out and he has to catch himself on his desk. ]

Uhh... [ He grins a little, clearly more pleased with being back and himself than anything else. ] Is there anyone, who is good with machines, who would't mind uh, working... I can pay, I think, unless, that money is gone.

I'm also, uh, back, obviously. Hi.

29 July 2012 @ 01:13 am
[It's not a look that's very common on the face of the young man that appears once the video feed turns on. There's something sharper about the way he looks, his jaw is set into stern line on his face, that makes expression seem somehow...off, considering who it looked like. Of course "looked like" being the key term here.

Under normal circumstances he'd throw a fit, demand to know what has happened, demand that this dark magic be undone at once, but...

He's been here a long time and even someone as resistant to change as he is learns he can't just shout impotently into the void forever. So instead he just stares rigidly at the camera before speaking. Vyse's voice comes out, of course, but, like everything else, it's sharper than before. Colder, almost biting.]

I suppose it does no good requesting to know what has been done. The intent is obvious.

Vyse. Respond.

[For all intents and purposes, he remains surprisingly civil, especially considering his usual dealings with people. Resigned, even.]

23 July 2012 @ 11:28 am
[He may not have noticed right away, but it didn't take too long to realize that a certain someone was missing. He couldn't contact him over the network, he couldn't find him when he looked... the Riku he knew, the one from the datascape...? It looked like he might be gone. Like that strange anonymous person had talked about, a while ago. Did that mean Riku had forgotten everything from here? He's sad, and a little worried.

But talking about it when Riku had asked him not to tell people about him - especially the other Sora - made things complicated. And Sora wanted to keep that promise even if Riku wasn't here. He can't just forget about the situation though. And he doesn't want to.

The voice that addresses the network might be a little less upbeat and much more subdued than normal, but otherwise is still fairly cheerful.]

So uh... what's everyone's best friend like?

[And now, just to be sure...]

[Locked to Riku]

I... can't find the other Riku. The one from the datascape. He's... not here anymore, is he?

I want to keep this as simple as possible.

What kinds of ramen do you like?

[This may or may not become apparent in the future as to why he wants to know.]

If you've never had ramen, go ahead and say so. I'll try not to judge you. Or even better, I may get you some.

Oh, and if you say something like you prefer eight eggs in your ramen, please don't comment.

[As the video feed starts, you can see the beautiful white towers of stately Gladsheim Palace before Aika comes into view, leaning on the fence that separates the castle from the rest of the city. She has a cunning smile on her face, as if she's formulating a plan.]

So, this castle. It's supposed to be impenetrable, right? But has anyone actually tried to get back in? If so, what did you do, and why do you think it didn't work?

Filtered to Vyse )
