[ the turning on of the bracelet is deliberate. it's not dalian if it isn't. it's not dalian if it's not a peanut gallery.

once again, she holds a book -- a completely new one -- and is sitting at her room's window, all huddled under a thick comforter; she never liked the cold, not even back in england. her attention however is not on her book (surprising? why, yes) but on the riot happening outside her window.

she looks bored, doesn't she? yes. yes, she does look bored.
]

I didn't think there would be other types of fairies in Norse mythology other than the Dökkálfar and Ljósálfar. These merely look fake and uncreative, lacking originality from the standard description of fairies.

Which brings even more doubt to this version of Asgard. I've yet to see any evidence that this is indeed the Asgard of the mythos and then, this absurdity comes along. [ a sigh. she has a lot of complaints, unfortunately. that's how she rolls. ] I'm beginning to think that an unimaginative sad excuse for a person is merely rewriting a tale based on Norse mythology because it didn't satisfy their inferior sense of understanding of the mythology. Violating an already written piece of literature does not make it any better in a lot of cases.

And all this violence. [ a wrinkle of her nose. ] It's almost a reminder of someone I know. A foolish dunce who thinks with his gun as if that noisemaker would solve the problem entirely.

[ well, it does, dalian. it saved you a million times. ]

Violence would only bring more violence. Of course, blockheads wouldn't understand that much --

[ and while she's in the middle of her monologue, a fairy actually spots her and pretty much blasts ice towards her. in this case, she shrieks and falls on her back on the floor whilst using the book as her shield. ]

[After almost two days of lazily observing things on the network and ambling around aimlessly, Charles has finally decided that he probably shouldn't just ignore everyone and hole up with a book forever. God knows how long that'd actually last, given how fruitless his search for an escape has been.

So, Asgard, on this fine evening you'll be greeted by a rather well-dressed child! It almost seems like he's turned his bracelet on by mistake at first, as his attention is occupied by something just below the screen. But he pipes up soon enough, even though he doesn't look up just yet.]

"Our fortune on the sea is out of breath, and sinks most lamentably. Had our general been what he knew himself, it had gone well: O, he has given example for our flight most grossly by his own!" [Now he looks to the screen, and the sound of rustling pages can be heard.]

Name the origin piece of this quote for me. If you can't, then you needn't reply. Simple enough, yes? [In a reluctant-sounding mumble:] I suppose you'd be exempt if you're from one of those bizarre alternate worlds or planets, but...

No matter. With that said, I've a few questions, and now that some of the less desirable ones have been weeded out, I hope to hear satisfactory answers. [No shh selecting conversational partners via Shakespeare isn't questionable at all....]

But first, I'd like to know if anyone has made even the smallest amount of progress in finding a way out, if anyone is even trying.

[The feed starts on what might not be an entirely expected place: the library in the Odin District. Here, a young man is sitting back on a table, a sizable stack of books beside him and a wide grin on his face. He's not paying much attention to the bracelet in front of him though, but at the shelves of books around him.]

Whoa! This is incredible! It's one of the most amazing things I've ever seen...

How did you all get all of these books in one place? It's got to have taken a long time. Does even Valua have these many?

But you guys do! And you're just letting us look at them whenever we want...

[Clearly awed, he finally looks away from the shelves and to the bracelet.]

I guess books can't be that hard to find here. I don't have that many of them back home, but you sure have a lot of them.

[This is clearly an important point to repeat. And now he points to the stack he'd set beside him, grin growing even wider.]

You guys even have all these books on sailing! I don't know how long it's gonna take me to finish all of these.

This place is amazing!

[Wait, what, there's a war and worlds to save? Nevermind that, there are books on sailing to be read!!]

...Hey, anyone know if there are any maps here?

[The video opens to an extremely perturbed-looking face. He has an unruly thatch of blond curls, and is dressed in what appears to be medieval chainmail. He’s looking into the camera with a combined look of distrust and consternation.]

I appear to have been kidnapped. I am unaware of this manner of witchcraft keeping me here, but be aware that I am not a man who easily gives up. If it’s information about Prince Arthur and Camelot you are after, then you’d best look elsewhere. I am loyal to my King and my home.

Anyone with information about how to leave this place would be most welcome to find me.

[He nods, clearly finished his speech. This is then followed by about a minute of Leon trying to work out how to turn off the camera, his face becoming increasingly more perturbed by the second. There’s a brief look of triumph on his face as he works it out, then the feed ends.]

[Why hello Asgard. You may or may not have seen this little girl from Sigyn wandering around for the past few weeks or so. This is the first time she's made a network post, because she's just a little confused and looking for something and this seems like the best option.]

The nice lady says Alice won something. Alice's name was by a “Sanji” and a “Cheriour.” Alice doesn't know what those are--

Are they chocolates? Does Alice get more of those?

[She smiles at the thought, hopeful.]

Maybe a date? Alice heard dates taste good and Alice really likes delicious, yummy stuff, so Alice wouldn't mind those either!

I want my prize soon since I won, so don't keep Alice waiting, 'kay?

[Yes, Alice mistakenly wandered into the date auction and ended up bidding on and winning both Cheriour and Sanji without realizing anything.]

[ Set to video, the screen shows a girl who looks to be around eighteen years of age, staring at the screen-- but rather than looking at whoever she is talking to, she seems to be staring at the screen itself, with a look that mixes intense concentration and confusion. The classic expression of someone trying to figure out how the hell to use this thing. ]

Um, does this thing actually work? ...Oh, hey, look, it does, ehehehe! Would you look at that...! Well, uh... I wasn't really expecting it to, I guess-- oh, I bet this isn't a good way to start off... dammit... [ You can just hear her, yelling at herself inside for screwing this up and starting off at a rather embarrassing note. ] Aha, sorry about that. I mean, seriously, who would've thought this little bracelet could actually do this stuff? I swear, this is like magic or something. [ She comes from the mid-eighties, what is technology... but that reminds her-- ] Although, this sure has been one crazy night, even if it technically isn't night anymore, so with all the weird stuff that's happened, this should've seemed so unbelievable, I guess... [ But she doesn't want to think about all that depressing stuff after finally having some time to come to terms with everything that happened. Even if she has a vague feeling that this isn't quite right in a different way than she thinks. ]

Well, anyway, never mind that! [ She perks up, and sits up straighter, taking on a cheerful and lively demanor as she speaks and gives the screen a smile. ] I'm here to introduce myself. So, it's not like I'm glad or that it's nice to be here, but it's great to meetcha all anyway. My name's Ushiromiya Jessica. Since we're stuck here and it's gonna be for a while, I figured we should get to know each other better. 'Cause, sure, the conditions aren't perfect for this, but no reason not to try to make friends with each other, right? Especially if our emotions are supposed to add color to this city or something. And this city really could use some color. I mean, seriously. Oh, but if you're a creeper or a pervert, feel free to stay the hell away, got it? [ And here she shakes a fist at the camera, one that is currently equipped with a brass knuckle. ] Just try to touch me or any of my friends. I'll kick your ass!

[The video feed opens with a buzzing noise to a blonde woman, tinkering with her bracelet. There's a slight 'ah' of realization once she realizes exactly how to turn it on.]

... Is that how it's done?

How strange. We've been brought here just to interact, but this letter makes it all sound really urgent, doesn't it? Is it really possible to save the world through something so simple? If all it takes is restoring this world's colour, that's as easy as replacing the furniture.

We travellers are the only people here, right? Then, it's a pleasure. My name is Charlotte Brontë, from London. I look forward to talking with you.

Where are you from?

[It ends there, but if you live in Freya, you'll notice the same woman chilling in your lounge area, trying to get a feel for the place.]
