Quite the eventful week, don't you think? [Will seems to be rather unruffled by everything, nonetheless.]

Still, there is only so much time one can spend exploring. Even in such a strange place. I would like to find something useful to do, I think. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Uh ... excuse me?

What is ... what is going on here? Why is there water everywhere? This can't be Asgard. I mean, this isn't... [ ... ] If this is Asgard, where is he?

Sorry, I -- I probably should have taken some time to adjust before posting on this network. Or whatever this is. I -- my name is Jane Foster. I'm from Earth, if that means anything to anyone. The United States, 2012. I really -- really want to know what the deal with this place is. Are the ... uh, gods really here? ... is ... it possible to talk to them? [ Very, deeply uncertain. ]

Anyway, uh... I guess I'd like to know who else might be from -- where I'm from. Specifically. Since I sort of get the feeling we're not all from the same planet. Or time. Or even universe. I mean, I'm just an astrophysicist, but -- sorta got this feeling. So... [ How else could she have gotten here but...? The secret she's been seeking. It doesn't just cross spacetime. It can cross universes, too. ]

... does the name "Avengers" ring any bells for anyone? [ Muttered: ] I mean, if anything would do it, that would. They were seriously hard to miss.

[ She's making her slow and vaguely annoyed way from the palace to ... well, she doesn't know where she's going, really. With her pants rolled up to the knee, not that it helps much, and her shoes in hand. The water makes it slow, tiring going, especially for someone who's lost. Help a girl out? ]

[It's been some time since Castiel posted, because his life has been alternately full of drama and oddly peaceful; the former times take his attention, the latter he's been trying to enjoy. But there are things to be done, and he's not going to fall into complacency.]

Many of you have likely seen Sam's information on the gods of this world. For those that have not, it can be accessed here.

I am interested in hearing of those who have encountered gods in their own worlds, and what they were like as well as what occurred. For those that have not encountered gods themselves, any experience with supernatural beings that might be considered religious in nature, such as angels or demons, would be of note as well.

[[ooc: Castiel is starting some scouting for people who might have some sort of interest or experience that would be useful in the little rebellion that's forming, so anyone who'd like to have their character involved, this is a place for them to start becoming so~ If you can't think of a good reason why they'd respond though, feel free to PM me and we can handwaive something!]]

[Bruce deliberates long and hard about whether or not he ought to stick to text or use the video function. On the one hand, if there’s somebody here he knows, this could be a distinct advantage. Tony, maybe, or Steve. There’s no reason to assume they wouldn’t be here, since it’s Asgard, and that’s Thor’s home. At the very least Thor should be around? But there’s also Loki. And realistically, being brought here without an explanation doesn’t bode anything good, because Thor never said anything about there being any kind of trouble- actually would he even tell them? Bruce isn’t sure- and his dad hadn’t exactly been so helpful at explaining just what’s going on.

In the end, he decides if there’s anybody out there he doesn’t want knowing he’s here (Loki), the risk is probably less than the potential benefit for finding the people he knows and sort of was teammates with briefly.
]

So, uh, must have missed the memo about intergalactic spontaneous space travel. [There’s a soft huff that would be a chuckle from anybody else, and his lick his lips nervously.] I thought needing help usually involved asking for it, but, uh, I guess that’s not the case anymore. Usually we would call that kidnapping, you know, taking people places against their will. [Another soft laugh, although this one sounds bitter, not really nervous, cynical and irritated underneath the seeming calm of it.] What if I say no, I don’t want any part of this, huh, are you going to persuade me? Force me to participate? Because I'm not really sure that's going to work out.

[And then the mildly serious moment is broken up with another nervous grin.] Anyway, I'm, uh, not sure what use I'd be in fixing your flooding problem anyway.

[Here, among the crowd of new children and adults is a rather puzzled and elderly Will.  It was one thing to know himself to be an Old One.  It was another things altogether to wake to find himself being closer to Merriman's apparent age than his own age of 12.  Still, he is not much surprised.  Confused certainly. But in the grand scheme of things this was not such a great change. ]

Hello.  [He peers calmly into the video with some curiosity.]  I am wondering if anyone here might have some idea about what is going on.  Even for such a place as this, it is not every day that one wakes up so very changed.

[The video opens with a small ordinary looking boy smiling vaguely.  Slowly he begins speaking in a deliberately mild voice.]

Goodness, I do think that this place will take some getting used to.  I have been doing much thinking, these past few weeks.  And I am wondering if I could meet some more of the people in this house of Odin.  I do not think I have met many of you.

Also, I am wondering if anyone could tell me more of the history of this place.  I would like to know more of the magic of this world as well, if there is anyone who knows much of it.  I'm quite mad for learning about such things, you see.

[England appears onscreen, looking exhausted; though at least presentable enough. That is, aside from his hair which is dire need of a cut--it's grown a few inches since he's first arrived. Again, he looks presentable--just downright tired.]

I must apologize for my last broadcast, I-- [he clears his throat and his cheeks color slightly] -- such a display was highly unnecessary and again I do apologize for having subjected you lot to that sort of uncouth behavior.

...

[AWKWARD PAUSE. Don't worry though everyone, he does this all the time.]

Far be it from me to be rude or intrusive--certainly no intent of the kind!--If you happen to be a native of the British Isles and have not spoken with me yet, I humbly request--er--I firmly request you remedy this as soon as possible. [Because apparently it's a crime for a nation to admit he wants to look after his people. Even though doing so is simply his nature; but admitting this or showing this would imply affection and he can't allow that. It's all got to be business, and that's just how it is!

He gives a stout nod as if that odd request and his stately tone explain everything.]

Either you all like singing in public or the gods have an excellent sense of humor.

[If it isn't Jacob, looking ever so amused at all the things he had heard on the network. Really, some of you even have wonderful voices, he's impressed.]

But either way, all of what I've seen has made me curious. Music certainly has a giant influence on most of our lives...but what does it mean to you? Is it something you listen to casually, or has anything spoken to you? Some songs can do everything from making people burst out in tears or dwell on things they thought were over and gone with.

What role does it play in your life, residents of Asgard?

How many of you knew of an "Asgard" before arriving here? Be it a place, a land, a person, a book, an animal race or something else. Fictional or real both apply.

To rephrase: Did the word "Asgard" exist and mean anything in your world, and if yes, what? Or did you encounter it first after being drafted to this place?

[Testing the waters and theories.]

[A boy stares neutrally into the video feed. He is slightly short for his age, with longish brown hair and serious grey eyes that seem slightly too old for his face. In appearance there is absolutely nothing to suggest that there is anything at all remarkable about him. Yet there is something slightly odd about his reaction. He doesn't seem the slightest bit upset or confused. If he is at all discomfited by his sudden relocation to this strange world and the loss of his powers it does not appear on his face. A pause just slightly too long, and he begins speaking in a pleasant voice.]

Ah, hullo? Is this thing on? Quite a strange little device. The sort of thing my brothers would enjoy taking apart, I should think.

[Will blinks, and smiles a little foolishly.]

But then I’m getting off topic. I've only just arrived here, you see. And I thought it would be terribly rude if I didn't introduce myself. My name is Will Stanton. Are there many people here?

Also, I am looking for a boy. About my age, with white hair and dark glasses. His name is Bran Davies. [There is some strange stress on the name, as if to say that Bran Davies was a very special thing to be indeed.] I rather expect he would have made a point of finding a way to stand out, here.
