But either way, all of what I've seen has made me curious. Music certainly has a giant influence on most of our lives...but what does it mean to you? Is it something you listen to casually, or has anything spoken to you? Some songs can do everything from making people burst out in tears or dwell on things they thought were over and gone with.

Music is a normal part the day for me. There's no way it could be avoided back home - it's an integral part of life!

My friend Gau, who used to be here, introduced me to classical music. I like it a lot, because there aren't any lyrics to distract you, so it's good music for working. I just feel bad that I couldn't give back his iPod before he left... now he'll be stuck back in his world without it.

Classical music is really one of the finest genres of music, I believe. There's something quite moving about it, even if it has no lyrics...

That's sad about your friend, though. Perhaps he'll get another one when he's there.

Music's -- music. I think -- making and appreciating music's like having another sense. Maybe that's too extreme -- another layer to things? There's some songs that I associate strongly with a certain person or time and place ... but it's more added meaning than something essential.

That's very well said. In a way, it is another sense. You feel things with music that you wouldn't feel with, say, reading a book or hearing someone talk.

I've never been really into music. I can appreciate it when I hear it, but it isn't anything I've ever gone out of my way to listen to or procure, I guess.

I listen to music casually, but I've also felt emotionally moved by some songs.

Quite understandable. I think many people have had the same experience with music as you do.

Me? [A thoughtful look.] I guess it's a way ofexpressing feelings or emotions in a way that mere words cannot express. There's something everlasting about music...even though some words might go out of fashion or lose their true meaning after a long time, music never does.

It's eternal.

We all have our favorite group or band, really, so I'm not surprised. Sometimes a certain group of people make music that feels as if it's speaking to us, and us alone.

It really is amazing. I can only imagine how beautiful it is for people who deal with it regularly in their lives.

Music really isn't that important to me. I always had other things to focus on. I like it as much as anyone else. It's just part of normal life.

Sometimes after a hunt, listening to music is the only thing that can calm me down and get me out of my own head.

I love it too, though my family never sung together...my mother sang a few times, but she stopped when I got older.

But either way, it's good to listen to on nights when you're feeling alone. It comforts you.
