[It's been a common thread in many of her conversations with friends - slow down, relax, have fun - and she's been thinking about it more since losing Jr., who was always so eager to cheer her up and keep her enjoying herself. But she gets most of her enjoyment from working and doing things for others, so she's at a bit of a loss. Shopping with Yukari was a bit stressful, so she doesn't think that will ever be a hobby of hers. But maybe she can find out some more from the network.

She still won't waste time, and certainly won't get involved in the gods' games. But it's worth trying out a new hobby, isn't it? She does have some downtime...]

Hi, everyone. I keep being told I need to find ways to relax and have fun between my work and my training, but my favourite hobby is my work and has been for awhile, so I'm looking for new ones. Favourite books, movies or video games - easy ones, please, I've only played one before - or other things you like to do, whichever. I'm open to just about anything.

[Well, open to just about any suggestion.]

If you can help me out, it'd really be appreciated.

[OOC Note: To avoid spamming the comm with different posts, I'll be doing all three of my characters here in separate situations. Please indicate which scene you want and I'll reply with the corresponding character instead.]

[Scene A: Atobe Keigo, Draupnir Outdoor stage (Action/Video)]

[While one would normally go to such a beautiful place to watch plays, today that seemed rather impossible--- unless you want to risk exposure to harmful ice fairies. Yet for anyone who dares venture to the outdoor stage, they may find the strange sight of Atobe on the actual stage, sporting a rapier that was still in an ice fairy that had tried to attack him. Around him were others that had been taken care of earlier, though closer inspection would show that some weren't done in by sword. It was more like they were knocked out temporarily, though at some point it changed to stabbing through them instead. It was kind of obvious why too, especially with the stiffness of his left arm, indicating his need to actually change tactics. His coat was partially ripped as it is, mostly the edges of it from carelessness, though he himself didn't look all that fazed by the attack.

Probably because he's still winning.]

Ahn~? It seems this thing has finally reached its limit.

[And with that, the rapier's blade snaps in half in the process of pulling it out of his latest target. He frowns at that though, before making his way down the stage. Right, he needed to get his arm back into shape before he gets in trouble.]

If any of you 'healers' are in the vicinity, it seems I might require your assistance. If possible, a new sword as well.

[Scene B: Suzuya Tohzuki, Sigyn Building Kitchen (Action/Video)]

[Sometime after Tsukiko wakes up, Suzuya can be found in the kitchen making hot chocolate and looking exhausted. There was soup ready on the counter, though he himself didn't move to take some even if he made them. However, anyone who wants to try it is welcomed to do so. For Suzuya himself, he looks contemplative despite his fatigue, fingers drumming against the side of the mug as he thinks.]

I don't know how many were caught unaware by the situation, but I hope everyone's all right. [A pause.] If there's anyone who might find their way to Sigyn though, I believe quite a lot of us can treat any wounds you might have gotten. It's not much on my part, but I hope it could help with what little I could of my abilities.

They can be rather vicious, can't they?

[Scene C: Zen, Yakuzen Hall (Actin/Video)]

[The video starts with a video, and one very displeased poisonous bird as he stares at the video, tone flat and annoyed. And how can he not be, when it's obvious he can't even get out of his unfinished clinic right now due to one angry-looking fairy trying to destroy his window.]

So, who did we piss off this time around for this treatment? Because far as I'm concerned, little miss scratch-a-lot there's being a pain in the neck for no reason. [Another beat.] If the clinic gets destroyed before business opens, I'm gonna have words with those damned idiots claiming to be gods.

Either way, guess there's not much I can do but sit here until that one gives up. Anyone out there willing to lend a hand in getting rid of him? I think she's got her friends along too. Next clinic visit that isn't just a regular check-up's free, since I ain't exactly got much choice right now if I don't wanna freeze here.

Uh.

[ so this starts off with the confused face of one (1) viking. the communicator bracelet? one thing. the... greyness? another thing. the gods? oh god what is this was this some divine... thing, for all he said before. did he do something wrong. he's hoping this is a dream but this is looking very, very unlikely.

all this thought processes to an awkward pause on camera. oh, right, he had this thing rolling. talking--words. what are words. ]

Uh, right! So everything I said about my hometown being grey? Yeah, I take that back. This is worse. This is-- [ rubbing his eyes ] --actually grey. On a scale of greyness, that's worse. Maximum greyness. A 10 out of 10, you might say.

This is kind of weird. Sitting here, talking to myself. Is anyone actually getting this? Was this some... you know, wild trick? Besides the whole kidnapping thing. I'm not sure which one is worse.

[ what is he even saying he doesn't know. another pause. ]

You know what, let's try that all again! I'm guessing we're all in the same situation here, so. Hi. I'm Hiccup. Nice to meet you... uh, people. People I don't know.

[ . . . wow this was a failure. a whisper of: ]

Laughter and tears. Iiii have a feeling I'm going to be doing a whole lot of that second thing.

[ before this shuts off. ]

Don't like announcing on this thing too much, but figured it's a better place than any.

Anyone who's been visiting Heimdall House for the clinic? It'll be temporarily closed for the move. It should be back in business in a week in the new location at [Insert an area in Heimdall district here.] Figured it'll be a lot easier for patients to feel comfortable from the other districts if it ain't in this place.

To all the newcomers, the name's Zen, and I run a clinic called Yakuzen Hall for anyone interested. It'll also double as pharmacy from now on in case you need some medicine for colds, stomachaches, and other stuff you might have issues with. You can ask me here for details too if you want.

Damn, that frog's better at this than I am. Can't believe I'm saying that...

[There's a pause and a short curse as he suddenly remembers something. Ah, right, he'll need those now right?]

I'm looking for guys to work for me too. Some guy to replace my secretary, cleaning staff and people who know a thing or two about medicine would be pretty good right now. [A beat.] Ah damn, right, the flyers... Ah, whatever. You can catch me in Heimdall if you're interested.

Oh right--- oi, Haru. Get over here. I need to talk to you.

[And with that, the feed ends. People in the house may find Zen getting stuff boxed up for moving to his new clinic. Later on, people may find Zen at the Yakuzen Hall, assuming he's found people to help him move the stuff, trying to get everything organized. Yeesh, where was his assistant when he needs him?]

[OOC: Anyone who wants to apply can reply here for any of the positions. Also, getting off hiatus now. Tags are gonna be slow as hell because I'm still trying to catch up to all my backtags, but I'll get to them as soon as I can.]

I have never encountered a varied set of emotions. Specifically, sadness and grief. Despite this, I know there is a way to remedy them. I have seen it. I have thousands of instances of it recorded within my memory from observation and experience. They do not last forever. They are not permanent.

But I do not know how to remove them.

Is it a physical process? An emotional transformation?

I need to know in order to maximize my own efficiency within this city and work on returning to my own universe to fulfill my purpose.

[Action | About 20 minutes into the attack up to post-dragon and onwards | Temporary Healing Station @ Folkvang Comfort House in Freya ]

['How did a perfectly normal, peaceful day get this bad?'

This was the very thought that crossed her mind, as she attended to yet another faceless civilian with her usual gentle ways -- and the powers bestowed upon her for her stay here, the power to Heal.]

Hold still. [she would say, as she shut her eyes, and eased the energies from within her to come forth and soothe the wounds of the civilian.]

[anytime during the attack, or even after the dragon has left, feel free to join right in with any characters that have already been following Keine to this location, or even those that would stumble in, bring any wounded, and along those lines.]

[Video | After the Dragon has left]

[when Keine does appear on the feed, she seems to be covered with just a bit of soot and dust -- if anything, an obvious speck of dirt can be seen at the side of her chin. Her expression is as neutral as can be, as she would say the following.]

Now that the dragon has left, I'd like to call for the help of any who are still able-bodied.

Once the fires still remaining have been put out, help us, by searching for any who are wounded, and quite possibly trapped in any buildings and houses, and bring them to either where I am, the temporary Healing Station at the Folkvang Comfort House, or the Hospital in Sigyn - whichever is closer, of course.

Keep alert, everyone. We can get through this together.

[a little smile to express her gratitude, before the feed cuts.]

[[ooc: do thread with each other on the post, other than just with Keine! The more the merrier! And it's nigh impossible for a smaller, inofficial establishment to deal with certain more serious wounds, so needing cooperation from multiple characters would likely be necessary!]]

[Hello people of Asgard. When the bracelet's feed jumps to life it's because Castiel struck it on accident in the midst of somewhat ungraceful flailing; the bracelet skitters back a little on the table it's sitting on, screen locked in place and giving a great view of an elaborate setup, only it's on fire and sending up a good amount of slightly reddish smoke.

There's a voice off screen speaking a language few would understand--that of the angels, Enochian--and sounding extremely displeased. Castiel comes into frame a moment later, tossing a blanket of some sort on the fire and successfully stifling it, managing to look vaguely affronted despite a coughing fit from the smoke. He spots the screen of the bracelet moments later and immediately turns it off.]

[[ooc: Open to action/offlines from anyone in Heimdall! Feel free to walk right in; Castiel's door (and window) will be open considering he filled his room up with smoke. 8|]]

[Did you think Legault wasn't going to say anything after winning the cupcake competition for Freya with Miki's help? He decides to pop up and say something.]

That was lively, wasn't it? It was an interesting choice for a battle, but a leftover like me was still useful, it seems. Maybe I should invest in that a bit more...though, it begs the question, what will our next competition be like? Any guesses? That can't have been the only one.

Ah, but about the cupcakes...if you see any of mine and Miki's around, please don't eat them. They were only my first attempt at baking, so I'm sure everyone else's taste much better. There's a reason we didn't win for taste, after all.

[]

Hmm...though, those chairs we won do look rather comfortable, though. Maybe I'll borrow one for a short while.

[And so ends the feed. Legault's just being friendly, but he's making the call from Freya's kitchen, anyways. It's a rare chance to talk to him, since he very rarely eats his lunch where people can see him. Usually, he sulks around town or who knows what, really? Surely, someone wants to thank their new hero in person.]

23 January 2012 @ 03:15 pm
What kind of prize is a hot tub for a baking contest?

[Call him foolish, but Riku was hoping for something maybe a little more useful, like a ticket out of the city.]

[The bracelet turns on as Fi is bowing down to gently brush her fingers to her toes, stretching experimentally outside of the Heimdall house. She is still getting used to having a physical form, but she looks much stronger and at ease than she did with her arrival. In fact, she almost looks like she's enjoying herself. While she's doing that, she speaks.]

I would like to know where the nearest water source is.

[And then, with a quick press of her bracelet, the feed turns off.

But to those wandering by, they may catch her slowly beginning to dance experimentally, carefully attempting to stand on the tips of her toes without falling.

It's going to be a long and winding road.]

I'm sure there's a number of you that've met this guy called 'Kaz'. Short, freak-eyed, limited vocabulary? Emotionally stunted? That's him.

He's a bed-wetter. Likely because of some deep-rooted trauma from his childhood, like an overbearing parent or sibling. Makes sense, that he'd cover up his insecurities with bullying, but that's usually what happens...

So next time you see him, remember: He's hurting and embarrassed too. Maybe talking to him, or writing him a letter might help, just so he knows he's not alone.

19 January 2012 @ 08:49 pm
[ yeah, sorry, asgard. you're going to be seeing a lot of this face as the feed cuts in and out. guess what, he's spamming the gem-button-thing to see what it does. what is this witchcraft what is going on and after maybe a minute or so, it comes on and stays on. ]

Yeah, okay. This still makes no sense. Is this the Spirit World? This better not be the Spirit World. I don't know if I could go without a bathroom again.

[ and there's that same suspicious look, still, as he looks around. it's obviously he's just kind of talking to the air; does he really believe that this thing lets him communicate with others? no way. that kind of thing is impossible! ]

Who's Thor? And why am I living in his house again? Sorry, but saving worlds is the Avatar's job, not mine. I'm just the guy who throws boomerangs. We just finished saving our world, can't a guy get a break and enjoy it?!

[ and there's some kind of frustrated sigh as he scratches at his jaw. ]

Man, I hope Suki's here. Or Katara. Or anyone. I think I'd even take Jet at this point. At least I can move around now...

[the video feed turns on with gilbert looking at the screen with a rather serious look on his face.]

I— [he stops however, his expression going blank as he stares up past the hologram of the bracelet and drops his hand. The camera shifts and reveals what has caught gilbert's attention. it's the cupcake making area that's been placed in every kitchen. he approaches, picking up the note and reading it and he's just staring dumbstruck before putting it down and looking away, flustered. really? REALLY? he'd turned the video feed on to say something else to the community, but now with this surprise in the kitchen all you're going to get out of him is:]

I am not making cupcakes.

[maybe he's talking to himself, maybe not, it's hard to tell because he happens to look down and remembers he had been intending to ask about something on the network and left the feed running.] 'Tch... [and he turns it off.]

[after he's found a spot to settle in away from that mess, he'll turn the feed on the bracelet back on, still grumpy, particularly for catching that reaction publicly.]

What I don't understand is the connection we all have and why we have been chosen instead of others. Is there some common link we all have that we're unaware of? What do you think, Asgard?

[so he'll be anywhere in Heimdall but the kitchen, but feel free to find him and try and get him in there if for no other reason to make him suffer participate with the rest of you like a good sport. (ooc: he's actually a good cook so deep down in his heart he'd want to help heimdall win...just needs a little pushing.) ...OR FEEL FREE TO HIDE WITH HIM IF CUPCAKES AREN'T YOUR THING.]

19 January 2012 @ 07:18 pm
[ First thing that pops up? A way too close up shot of Dawn's face as she's leaning as close to the network, her nose almost pressed to the holographic screen and she seems to be staring intently at something. It looks like she's fiddling around with her bracelet; when she's speaks, it's with the voice of someone way too close to the microphone. ]

This is so cool! Do we really get to keep this?

[ She doesn't seem to realize that this is actually broadcasting live, although she (mercifully) pulls away and calls out to someone off screen. ]

Giratina! Come and look at this!

[ Something huge and gigantic can be seen shuffling in the background as Dawn holds her her wrist towards it; it lowers its head and holy shit what the fuck is that thing. ]

▸▸ VIDEO

someone looks thoughtful -- or bored, depending on how you look at it since lucille's resting his chin on a hand, staring at some far off place.

So I have one question that is once more completely unrelated to this world, the gods and everything else in between.

a pause. a very long, thoughtful and pregnant pause. and then --

How do you deal with -- 【 clingy? true. possessive? pretty much. batshit? ding ding ding we have a winner! 】 -- a demanding ex-lover?

another pause.

Well, not exactly an ex-lover but something similar only not really. Or a companion! A demanding companion or partner. 【 aha aha aha. 】 At least one of you should have experience with it, right?

18 January 2012 @ 10:12 pm
[Well. There is a particularly handsome lavender-haired thief on the camera today. Despite all these newcomers, he's actually been around since the very beginning. Still, it's his first time addressing the network.

And boy-oh-boy, does he look thoughtful.]

Hm...this has been bothering me for a while. I hope you all have time for a fool's question. It's about the food that can be found here, especially in the freezers.

Never in my life had I heard of a "chicken nugget" before. Where exactly on the chicken is the nugget? I'd like to know what I might be eating, since there seems to be so many of them.

18 January 2012 @ 08:00 am
Alright--this has been bothering me for a while now.

I don't know what the hell kind of messed-up worlds most of you come from--an' I don't really care either--but in what kind of fucked up world is it normal where everyone and their haggy old mom is a freak of nature???

All you people with your rainbow hair and your eyes-on-acid or whatever the fuck you've done to them! You are all freaks. What the hell is wrong with all of you? I mean I'm a fuckin' freak and I still think you guys are freaks! That pretty much makes you all like...three times as fucked up. And you all act like it's normal--! Even when you're wearing a freakin' garden party bonanza for hair or look like you had someone shoot paint into your eyes.

Let me just tell you now: hair the color of the fucking rainbow an' all it's inbred cousins isn't normal.

But does anyone think it's weird?? Nope! You all just show up from J-pan with name likes "Mantaro Yuckimushi" or whatever the fuck they are. "Impossible-to-pronounce-ibamumamu". Anyway, you show up and act like all the freaks with hair and eyes as fucked up as yours are totally normal. Which means you're brain damaged or your world is just as fucked up as you are.

Where I come from? Only old people have white hair. Magical...sparkling, whatever-the-fuck eyes only come on the things that look like people, but who actually just eat other people. Like demons or vampires or...I don't know. Mutant frogs.

So congrats! You guys must have won the fuckin' freak show lottery or something because now you get to live in a city full of people just as messed-up as yourselves! Because when even the non-humans think you guys are freaks, something has gone seriously wrong. And humans were pretty fucking weird to begin with.

...Actually yeah, I guess if you already ain't human then it's a different story. Like if you're one of those Termites or a fairy or goose or whatever...well you're already abnormal so this shit doesn't really matter.

[ ooc; KAZ IS THE WORST AT MULTICULTURALISM I'M SORRY sjkdfgdsjkgsjk i love all animu characters no matter what acid trip their eyes and hair are on I promise ;; also termite = MSPA TROLLS sob ]

[ It's almost evening, and though it seems the serious-looking woman in this video feed is in public - her back pressed to a wall that might be familiar to those observant enough to recognize the area around the city's central castle, her face flushed from the ambient cold - this particular message is very private.

As in, private to the entire populace- except the other 'traveller' who shares her face and name. Yes, Lightning actually went through the entire list, picking people one by one and completely disregarding how long it took her to do so. She means business. ]

I think it's pretty clear by now everyone's been stripped down 'power'-wise, but is there anybody who can still do something not handed down by these gods?

[ She takes a breath, annoyed. Addressing a lot of people at once, in so many words, really isn't her thing, but she's damn determined. Even though there's been others trying to do their own information-gathering, of course, she needs to make these specific questions very clear and get some solid answers before it drives her crazy. ]

Otherwise, is there any power here that lets its user imitate others? Anything at all.

[ And with that, she waits, trying to hold back her poor mood and any second guessing over what she should and shouldn't have said. What the video doesn't show so well is just how armed and stiff she is while going out now, caught up in her suspicion.

However, it isn't long before she finally decides to start heading 'home' again- to terrorize the poor people unfortunate enough to share a House with her. ]

Yeesh, finally got this thing to finally work properly. [A soft mutter, before he continues on.]

All right, it's been nine days since a lot of us arrived. For those who found their companions-- good for you, and make sure to stick with them. Figured that since it doesn't look like we're moving anytime soon, then settling down for the time being ain't a bad idea.

For anyone in Heimdall, I'm setting up my room for a clinic. I don't care what this whole thing about powers or whatever that was granted to us is about, but right now it's too weak to help anyway. I'm sticking to traditional methods, so if that's not your cup of tea, you can go all the way to the hospital for all I care.

Check-ups are free of charge, anything else is negotiable.

Non-residents can come too if they want, but it ain't gonna be easy on you to stay too long in the building. Tried it elsewhere, and it was just one hell of a headache to deal with. Until I can set up a proper clinic, this'll do.

Got any questions?
