[Scrolling along the streets of Asgard you’ll find a small boy is…committing acts of vandalism? Well he is certainly painting a weird circle shaped design on the wall of that build over there. The design is made up of bunch of symbols, it looks harmless though but who knows with the weird things this city throws at you.]

There that should be the last one. [He certainly looks pleased with himself as he finishes up his work. He closes a jar of weird looking black paint put it and his brush into a large rucksack. Just as he about to leave the design suddenly flashes white and then begins to glow going from white to blue to gold. Now this situation has gone from odd to freaky. Not that the kid is even paying any attention to this and he'll head off on his way if you don't stop him.]

((OOC: If you want to figure out what going on you can catch Aladdin in the act anytime throughout most of the city. ))

Since we have a lot of new people arriving, I thought I would post some information about Asgard and what has happened to us here since the arrival of the first travellers 189 days ago! Long-time Travellers, keep reading! There’s something you haven’t heard about yet too.

Firstly, Castiel-san has updated Sam-san’s list of god-granted abilities and what each ability is and what we know of what it is capable of. You can find it here! While it’s mostly complete, there were some powers that no-one volunteered to help Castiel-san with information about. If you can fill in the gaps, please talk to him! If you want to talk to people with your power or just get advice on using it, then Merlin-san’s Teacher’s Council may be for you! Look out for an announcement from him or contact him directly with questions.

Secondly, what has happened in Asgard. As you can see, a lot of volunteers worked on this! We’re still working on making it as complete as possible, so if you want to help, let me know! I’m especially interested in someone who experienced the battle and someone who served as a healer writing up their impressions of the battle.

And the new-news I promised! There’s been a lot of talk about research lately, or at least the lack of it, so you might be surprised to know that the Forensics Unit at the hospital is attempting to find scientific explanations for the phenomena we encounter in Asgard! We recently concluded a study as to how our god-given powers are activated. Using the hospital’s EEG and MRI machines, we searched for any increase in brain activity while our test subject used their powers. We were unable to detect any difference from normal brain activity. This held true, no matter the power, age, gender or species of Traveller. It took us a while to complete this study, because the Traveller leading it, Charles Xavier-san (not the same Charles Xavier currently in Asgard) was returned, and of course we dealt with numerous attacks on the city in the interim. I’ve attached the full report as a file for anyone interested! We’d especially like to hear from any scientists currently in Asgard who might be interested in joining our department. Although formed in response to suspicious activity, we’ve since widened our outlook to include the examination of anything that will benefit Travellers. If you’re interested, please contact me or Detective Kate Beckett.

Other ways to learn more about our situation include the Teacher’s Council, as I already mentioned, or Grimoire's Sigil – Aladdin-kun is leading research into Asgard’s original Rune Magic. There’s a lot to learn here, and any interested parties are welcome to join in.

If research isn’t for you, consider The Citadel! Arthur-san’s guard teach a variety of weapon-based and non-weapon-based combat. Pendragon-san also offers lectures on War at regular intervals.

If that’s not your thing either, then maybe you’d like to help O’Brien and me with our emergency supply kits! We need volunteers to help us gather supplies then sort them into the kits which are distributed to Welcome Halls and stations all over Asgard. We especially would like volunteers with Drawing Life!

If you’ve got a healing power, then either the Sigyn Hospital or the Yakuzen Clinic Heimdall are good places to get practical experience using your power! You don’t have to talk to anyone at the hospital, just go to reception. And Watson-sensei and Castiel-san have regular first-aid classes at the Yakuzen Clinic.

If I’ve forgotten anything, please let me know! (Koizumi-san, I don’t want to hear you say it.)

((ooc: if I have html/link fail, ooc you want to be in on this but aren't sure how or have a group you want a shout out for, let me know!))

[First there is a face. There is a trimmed mustache, and squinting brown eyes. Then the face tilts back and turns into Tony Stark, cracked out of his armor and in the clothes he had been wearing underneath. He looks off-screen.] Not bad. [Referring to the bracelet.] Almost as good as mine.

Wish I could say this is the weirdest thing that's ever happened to me. [This isn't even the first time he's been kidnapped.] I've been shuffling things around and trying to calculate the numeric value for bullshit. But then we have this little ditty: "The laughter and tears of all travelers will become strength both for you and the greater good." So basically group therapy-slash-bongo drum circles every Tuesdays and Thursdays, pot brownies optional?

Okay. Granted it's been a while since I leafed through Prose Edda. I don't remember it being this--[A quick, circular motion with his wrist.]--well-adjusted. It's more like human sacrifices, eye-gouging, and 'in the beginning, the gods made the earth and heaven out of history's first murder victim.' [He stops for a beat. One might even speculate that he's pausing for breath, because spoiler tag: Tony still needs to breathe through his chatting.] So basically a 'we're walking on corpses, whoa-oh' kind of thing.

This is Viking mythology as told by guidance counselors. And I met Thor like three days ago. You think you know someone, and then you find out they came out of a Care Bears movie. And then you judge them.

But it looks like everyone else is buckling in for the long haul, so here's a few things I'm going to need.

[When the video switches Ranka smiles slightly as she waves at the camera. Her smile is hopeful as she rests her head on her arm in front of the camera.]

I know it's been a while since I said anything, but it seems like this would be the best time to say something. After all, there has been a lot going on lately.

[Taking a deep breath she steadies herself.]

War is really hard. I'm sure more than enough people understand that even without the one going on here. It really does take a long time, and people-

[She pauses taking and shakes her head.]

A lot of people made sacrifices here. I think that they deserve something special to honor them for all the hard work they did.

Maybe we should pull together and think of something? A party? Something? I just think even if nothing really changed there were too many people out there being brave that we shouldn't ignore.

[Her cheeks color as he waves her hands in front of herself.]

It was just an idea, but something I think is very important!

[ The storm sirens have been shrieking in the city for about a solid minute before the video feed starts on Thor’s ruddy and smiling face. He adjusts the bracelet where it sits on his desk and steps back, already pulling on some pretty ornate looking armor. ]

Sound the bells of war!

[ His voice is low and bellowing, but clearly pleased. This is one god visibly pleased beyond measure. ]

Those lot of you bellyaching to me before about having nothing to do? I expect to see you on the front lines with me!

Alright, Asgard! Time for me to sample your creative juices, regardless of their flavor! Ready to pour out a glass straight from your skull? Good! Now...

Tell me the most ridiculous and crazy idea you've ever had for something you wanted to make!

Then let's go try and make it.

I'm running low on synth ideas here, so I need something utterly ridiculous and insane to get my spark going. As depressing as it is to admit, a man can only make so many different kind of drills that don't actually work before he has to move on to a different subject... So! Hit me with your best shot!

[You know, it was one thing to leave the window open overnight for some fresh air, and another entirely to wake up to a heck of a lot more then just air flowing into the room.

When Fayt woke this morning, it was to a decent layer of leaves, plants and loose flower petals that had begun an invasion of his room in the Sigyn welcome hall sometime in the middle of the night. They're everywhere.... and the idea of cleaning all of this up is not a pleasant one, with little bits of flower petals getting into corners or behind furniture.

With a frustrated noise, he shuffles about shutting the window and attempting to clean up, sweeping up flower petals and anything else that had come in during the night and taking loads of the stuff outside as he does, using a small bucket he'd dug out of one of the closets. He's probably making a scene, lugging it down the halls.

Eventually, during one of those trips, he's surprised by a sheep shamelessly approaching him and sticking it's head into the bucket to munch away at the contents before he even gets the chance to dispose of it. He puts it down, letting the sheep have it's fill with a grin.]

... that works too, I guess.

[Much later, when he's cleaned up most of the mess, he's flopped outside on the grass, gazing amusedly at a flock of sheep going about picking the house walls and surrounding area clean.]

I woke up with my room covered in plants... I think it's safe to say that we should probably keep windows and doors shut tight. [He turns the bracelet to face the sheep grazing around the welcome hall.]

These animals sure can eat a lot.... Do you think all this drew them into the city?

[Well, Sheryl's had a rather few interesting weeks. She'd fallen victim to that wonderful virus and ended up in Alto's care until she'd completely recovered. She hated being indebted to him but knew very well that if he hadn't done what he had, Sheryl would have likely died from the pandemic.

However, that's not why she's decided to grace the network with her presence. As her bracelet's video feed flickers to life, the camera pans across her bedroom. If someone is paying attention, they'll notice the numerous unfinished music compositions on the desk. She's about ready to kill to have a guitar or a keyboard in her room. She'll have to get around to remedying that predicament one of these days.

However, today is not that day as she looks out the window and she sees nothing but an endless sea of green plants. Not that she's adverse to plants but it just leaves her to wondering what those idiot Gods were up to this time. Eventually, the video feed settles on her very confused looking face.]

I know that as travelers, we've been charged with bringing colour back to Asgard but isn't the jungle out there a little overboard?

[Action: Open to the Forensics Unit/Hospital Staff/Visitors.]

[It's a couple of hours into the working day when the office door opens. Ignoring the stir of surprise from staff who haven't seen him in a week, Conan makes a beeline straight to his desk. His disappearance has left him looking pale and there is a bandage on his right temple, but Conan's unimpressed expression makes any of the lab staff reconsider asking.

Climbing onto his seat, Conan surveys the files that have built up in his absence. Well, at least it's not an avalanche this time.]

Coffee.

[It's been another few hours and two cups of coffee since his arrival back at the Unit. Conan's made headway on his files but still has a lot of catching up to do and he knows it. Being at a loss is one thing, being out of the loop when a major crime has occurred is another.]

I'm back. Sorry to anyone who was worried -- I'm not sure what happened. It's fair to assume that I lost my bracelet ... [Probably about the same time he got the bump to the head, not that Conan's saying that. Admitting you don't remember losing your bracelet is one thing; not remembering how you injured yourself grounds against ever being able to walk home on your own again.] But the nurses have cleared me and I'm here now! And trying to catch up.

Doctor-san, Mycroft-san, [unwillingly] Holmes-san, I believe you've been assisting the Forensic's Unit? If you don't mind, I'd like to talk to you! Everyone else -- well, I see we've had some newcomers! I hope you've already had the warnings about losing your bracelet, but in case not, be very careful with it and try and keep it close by! Otherwise, you might end up vanishing like I did. I ... can't exactly recommend the experience.

Not that I remember the experience exactly. [A scowl. Conan didn't spend years training his memory so that he could just forget things left, right and centre.] It's a weird feeling. Forgetting something normally is okay. Either you know vaguely what happened even if you don't remember the exact details or you forget entirely so you don't even know there's something there you don't remember. This ... Knowing it's there but not being able to remember it ...

[A detective's only as good as his mind, so when his mind works against him ... Yeah, this is not a happy detective, Asgard.]

Don't lose your bracelet.
