[Rue's oddly thoughtful when she decides to use the bracelet again, though the serious image is probably ruined by the clumps of dough drying in her hair and the light coating of flour she seems to have acquired. Behind her, several piles of blackened or misshapen bread cover the kitchen counter.]

Do people always name things they create after themselves? What if I make something new but want to name it something else? I don't think "Rue bread" sounds very good.

[She frowns down at the floor, then remembers she had a reason for sending this out.]

One of the bakers here said there's something called pita bread. That means it's Peeta's, right? I want to make it for him when he comes back. [Rue smiles, looking very pleased about this.] But I'm not getting it right...

[Rue tugs on a strand of curly hair.] Can somebody help me?

[She paused on the video before speaking, looking uncommonly serious for someone usually so full of laughter, drawing a slow breath in. Trying to find words that were... discreet, not completely applicable to her. She was, at times, capable of such things.

There has been just the one thing on her mind, for all she was trying to remake her friendship with Bess. A quiet niggling, but it was more then that, it was a deep seated anxiety, and for once, it showed. Before it had been a case of out of sight, out of mind. But now? Now it was different.
]

Tell me... has anyone every had someone appear that they... they came from the same place, so to speak? And... if they were bound in some way...

[she chewed on her lip for a second.]

... would you still be expected to honour that bond? Even in your heart you did not want to, and you were loathe to be in that persons presence even a little?

[she didn't hate her husband, necessarily, but she knew, it was a mistake for her to ever be around him. Nor could she forgive him, and she was just starting to enjoy herself here.

[Aerith's been pretty busy ever since arriving, though a bit unsettled by her new surroundings at first. yeah, she might have spent a large chunk of her life on a world that wasn't actually her own, spontaneous world travel wasn't exactly something she has a lot of experience with, either.]

[regardless! sometimes other worlds need more assistance than her own does, and Aerith is more than willing to help out. besides, seeing a bunch of people from different places gathered into one area is pleasantly familiar. no need to worry about breaking the rules about different worlds here.]

[so have a smiling face, Asgard.]

Hello! I have a quick question for everyone – there are a lot of people here from a lot of different places, so I'm hoping there are others here who would know.

Is anybody else familiar with hearts? Not just the organ; I mean more like the hearts that pertain to worlds themselves.

If you do, let me know. I have an idea.

[OOC Note: To avoid spamming the comm with different posts, I'll be doing all three of my characters here in separate situations. Please indicate which scene you want and I'll reply with the corresponding character instead.]

[Scene A: Atobe Keigo, Draupnir Outdoor stage (Action/Video)]

[While one would normally go to such a beautiful place to watch plays, today that seemed rather impossible--- unless you want to risk exposure to harmful ice fairies. Yet for anyone who dares venture to the outdoor stage, they may find the strange sight of Atobe on the actual stage, sporting a rapier that was still in an ice fairy that had tried to attack him. Around him were others that had been taken care of earlier, though closer inspection would show that some weren't done in by sword. It was more like they were knocked out temporarily, though at some point it changed to stabbing through them instead. It was kind of obvious why too, especially with the stiffness of his left arm, indicating his need to actually change tactics. His coat was partially ripped as it is, mostly the edges of it from carelessness, though he himself didn't look all that fazed by the attack.

Probably because he's still winning.]

Ahn~? It seems this thing has finally reached its limit.

[And with that, the rapier's blade snaps in half in the process of pulling it out of his latest target. He frowns at that though, before making his way down the stage. Right, he needed to get his arm back into shape before he gets in trouble.]

If any of you 'healers' are in the vicinity, it seems I might require your assistance. If possible, a new sword as well.

[Scene B: Suzuya Tohzuki, Sigyn Building Kitchen (Action/Video)]

[Sometime after Tsukiko wakes up, Suzuya can be found in the kitchen making hot chocolate and looking exhausted. There was soup ready on the counter, though he himself didn't move to take some even if he made them. However, anyone who wants to try it is welcomed to do so. For Suzuya himself, he looks contemplative despite his fatigue, fingers drumming against the side of the mug as he thinks.]

I don't know how many were caught unaware by the situation, but I hope everyone's all right. [A pause.] If there's anyone who might find their way to Sigyn though, I believe quite a lot of us can treat any wounds you might have gotten. It's not much on my part, but I hope it could help with what little I could of my abilities.

They can be rather vicious, can't they?

[Scene C: Zen, Yakuzen Hall (Actin/Video)]

[The video starts with a video, and one very displeased poisonous bird as he stares at the video, tone flat and annoyed. And how can he not be, when it's obvious he can't even get out of his unfinished clinic right now due to one angry-looking fairy trying to destroy his window.]

So, who did we piss off this time around for this treatment? Because far as I'm concerned, little miss scratch-a-lot there's being a pain in the neck for no reason. [Another beat.] If the clinic gets destroyed before business opens, I'm gonna have words with those damned idiots claiming to be gods.

Either way, guess there's not much I can do but sit here until that one gives up. Anyone out there willing to lend a hand in getting rid of him? I think she's got her friends along too. Next clinic visit that isn't just a regular check-up's free, since I ain't exactly got much choice right now if I don't wanna freeze here.

[ regardless of whether you've seen Tsukiko or not, she's spent the past two days healing as much as she can and working to lend a hand all around Asgard. This includes spending far too much time outdoors and working rather relentlessly by the second day.

And if you were in Sigyn, you might have seen her finally sit down to catch her breath and conk out there, at which point, one (1) childhood friend had to carry her up to bed.

So here she is now towards the end of the day, face flushed from the onset of a fever-- from wearing herself out or from the cold, your guess is as good as hers. She's also looking incredibly groggy and disoriented. ]

H... huh? I thought I was downstairs... [and she's starting to lift a hand to rub her eyes and blinking when she... can't.

Namely because that hand is being held captive by Suzuya, who is also conked out, only he's using the side of her bed to lean against. Tsukiko continues to stare down at him for a minute, before her eyes soften. ]

Is this your way of telling me to stay put? Even asleep, you really act like a mom, Suzuya. [ and she has to giggle, though that shifts to a cough. Another minute, and she finally addresses Asgard at large. ]

I don't know how long I was out, but... what's the situation? Is everyone all right? I think I've slept enough that I can still use my healing--

[ and once again interrupted by one annoying cough. Yeah, she's not going anywhere else tonight. ]

[ Arthur is taking a rest for the first time since he happened upon the fairies, and he looks the part. Slightly pale from the cold but cheeks flushed from running about, but he is put together and battle ready. This is the leader of the Knights of Camelot. ]

For those of you as of yet unaware, the touch of these creatures is as dangerous to bare skin as is flame - I'm told you call it frostbite. They're not difficult to kill, but their claws are sharp enough to tear through cloth and freeze flesh.

Those that are unarmed or incapable of combat would do well to remain indoors where they cannot reach you. Those of you that find yourselves caught in the streets with no means of escape, find the nearest blunt object and attempt to fend them off until myself or anyone in the vicinity can assist you to safety.

Sir Leon, Sir Gwaine - I know we are no longer in Camelot, [ He pauses, and inhales lightly ] but we are still knights, and as such, I believe we've a duty to protect the people of Asgard as much as our own. I would ask you to fight alongside me once more until the city is free of this plague. We need to ensure the women and children are securely out of harm's reach, and drive their numbers back to whence they came.

[ He pauses again, contemplating his next words carefully. ]

We may all be from separate worlds, different upbringings and customs, but we are all on common ground here. We've all been brought here and left to fend for ourselves, and so it's up to us to protect each other. I may be royalty in Camelot, but here, we are all equals, and I will do everything in my power to keep you all safe so that you may live to see your homes again. If there's to be a war and we're to be caught in the middle, I will proudly stand beside you and see it through to the end.

Stay strong, Asgard. These gods haven't seen the best of us yet.

[ He hesitates a second, as though there is so much more on his mind, before he turns the feed off. ]

[Canada's in the middle of running away it seems when the video feed suddenly turns on, totally by accident.

He's desperately trying to get away from these...things that just attacked him for hardly any reason at all. Poor Matthew.]

S-Someone--[Pant.]

--need..help.

[He continues to trip over himself in his attempt to escape, but is luckily able to heal the little cuts and scrapes he gets from falling. He may need a bit of help with the deeper cuts.

It's not until a few minutes later that he even notices the bracelet's been on this whole time.]

Does anyone think they could lend me a bit of assistance? I-I'm in Sigyn district if--ah!

[The feed cuts out just then.]

[Action; Sigyn District]

[Sure is a regular day around here! I mean, it's colder than usual - part of why Hibiki's got a thick coat, scarf, and cap set today - but really, how odd could it be for it to get a bit chilly?

In fact, she was just on the way through her own district over to Odin's to see if she couldn't find some nice books when she first spotted the fairies. And given they're so beautiful...
]

Wow! I have never seen anything like it! I wonder what it is...?

[Which, naturally, gets the attention of the fairy. As it begins to make its way towards her, Hibiki stops to admire it...

Only to give a small yelp when it promptly claws her.
]

Wh-wha-?

[She is completely caught off guard, making the fairy's attack even easier. It latches onto the small girl's arm, its claws digging at her sleeve and nicking her hand in the process, leaving it chilled and numb. In a panic, Hibiki tries to pull away, accidentally slamming her bracelet into the ground as she falls.]

[Hibiki blinks in surprise as the screen comes up, but once it registers, she quickly begins her plea for aid even as her voice cracks with fear.]

S-someone, help! There's a monster or--or something. I don't-

[She is cut off with a terrified squeak as the fairy gets the jump on her.]

16 February 2012 @ 07:29 pm
[The first thing popping onto the screens will be two curious green eyes of a young woman with brunette hair, who is closely inspecting her bracelet.]

Hello? Can anyone hear me? [After a while, she’ll move away from the bracelet on her arm, smiling at whoever was watching the feed.] I don’t know how many of you can see this, but the maid explained how we can communicate with one another through these. It was hard to believe, at first. I’ve never seen anything like this before. [Raising her arm containing the bracelet, she will continue to admire the device.] They’re a pretty advanced world, aren’t they? The people living here, I mean. I think Cid would love to tinker a little with this. I’ll have to show it to him once we return home, it’ll definitely be useful for everyone to keep in touch. [Especially with the other members of the committee.]

[After realizing she was beginning to get off track, Aerith decided it was a good time to go straight to business before she continues to talk about everything and anything. But where should she begin? There was so much to ask in so little time. She wanted to get well-acquainted with this world because there must be something she can do to help.]

…a world without color. It’s difficult to take it all in after everything that’s happened. I always thought the Heartless were the only things to worry about, but... [Placing a worried fist over her heart.] Why did this world lose it’s color? I can’t help wonder if it has anything to do with the darkness affecting the world’s heart. [Then again, she hasn’t seen a hint of any Heartless or Nobodies anywhere. It’s a little strange.] Has anyone discovered anything yet? The maid didn’t explain further about our purpose other than to restore this world’s color. Any and all information will be great to hear. [And just as the worried look appeared, it will slowly melt away to another friendly smile.] I hope we can work together in solving this mystery. It’s going to be tough, but we should be able to restore this world if we all pitch in. [Yup, she isn’t too worry about reaching their goals because she’s already noticed the number of people in color.] I hope to hear from my Sigyn housemates as much as everyone else. Thank you for your time.

[And with that, the transmission will end.]
