[Nanako looks a bit concerned today. Her sunny smile is dampened by the worry in her expression, but she does her best to sound chipper.]

Good afternoon, everyone.

I wanted to say thank you, to those who helped me when I first got here, and... I think I might've grown a bit, since I've come here. Of course, there have been disappointments and some difficult times, but I've also made friends, and I'm a little bit closer to becoming an adult, or so I'd like to think. It's not home, but little by little, I'm starting to adjust. So, thank you all!

[She breaks off, eyes darting away to avoid looking into the camera, fingers reaching down to toy with the hem of her dress, as if anxious.]

As for the purpose of this... Well, I know it isn't any of my business, and I might across as meddling, or dumb, but... If you could hear me out? I admit I haven't been paying very close attention, so I don't know very much about this place, still. But just from what I've heard and seen, it's not as peaceful as back home. There seems to be people who are troubled, people for whom something may be very wrong.

I'm just...a bit worried. Even though I know you may not want me to worry, if there's anything you'd like to say, or someone you might need for company or support, um... I'll try my best! I'll try my best, if anyone needs me! I live in Freya, and you can always contact me with the bracelet.

[She gives a little smile and a half-hearted wave, and the feed ends.]

15 July 2012 @ 11:25 pm
[A timid woman appears on the feed and to some... she may look familiar, but there's something different about her.]

H-Hello? Everyone can hear me, right? [She gives the bracelet a curious look.] My name is Beatrice Castiglioni, I have only been here a few days and... Could someone explain to me these recent contests I have been seeing? Some of them looked quite fun.

[She puts on a nervous, but warm smile.] By the way, does anyone happen to know a man by the name of Kinzo Ushiromiya? If so, please let him know that I am here.

14 July 2012 @ 10:09 pm
{ ooc: sorry for the late replies! things have been a little stressful on my end }

Hello? I've been told I can use this bracelet to communicate with you all, but I'm afraid that it's a little difficult for me to familiarize myself with it. My, it'd be a little embarrassing if I'm not using this correctly at all. [ for being taken away to some entirely different world (or so says the maid), lilly is fairly calm about this, showing only a little tension in her voice at her confusion. she is nervous, but panicking won't get her very far. ] I believe I'm still here at the Welcome Hall.

[ annoyance has leaked into her voice now. she may be perfectly fine with her disability, but leaving a blind girl in an unfamiliar place -- alone -- is somewhat cruel. ] The woman guiding me seemed to have other things to do.

... I don't mean to be a bother, but if there truly are others out there listening to this, I would be grateful if someone could provide me with a little more information and possibly lead me out of this room. [ she ends her voice post with a pause, tone more apologetic as her eyebrows knit together, a tiny and embarrassed smile on her face. ] I would appreciate it very much.

14 July 2012 @ 05:52 pm
[ the feed clicks onto the faces of two girls -- one with brown hair, and one with blue. it's Hilda and Dawn to be exact, and they both look pretty giddy. ]

Hey guys, we have an announcement! So you'd better listen up, okay?

It looks like there's a lot of stuff to do around here, right? You know, places to go, and stuff like that! But there's not anywhere that's a lot like back home, so...

[ she looks Hilda's way, leaving the actual meat of the announcement to her. the pokétopia is technically all hers, after all. ]

A little bit back, some of us from the Pokémon universe opened up a cafe! It's called Pokétopia, right smack dab in the middle of Sigyn district. We've got all kinds of stuff there to eat, from boxed lunches and pizza to cupcakes and smoothies! And all of it is Pokémon themed, of course!

But the thing is... we're a little short staffed as of recently.

It's pretty hard to run a cafe without a bunch of people, you know? You need lots of people to cook, and lots of people to help the customers, and all that!

Exactly! So we wanted to let everyone know that job applications are wiiiiide open. if you're a new here or not and want a place to work, come on down and give us a look! You'll be glad you did, promise.

[ and she whispers to Dawn. ] Did we forget anything?

[ she puts a finger to her lips, considering, before turning to whisper back: ] Hmm... I don't think so... It feels like we got everything, at least!

Wait a sec... uniforms! Duh!  [ oops. and to the feed: ] For anyone who's interested in working, we guessed you should know what you're gonna be wearing.

Oh, right! I guess that is pretty important, huh?

[ she smiles sheepishly, gesturing down to her uniform and then fluffing up the skirt a bit. ]

This is what we wear at work! It's pretty cute, isn't it?

[ and Hilda does the same with her's, stepping back and doing a bit of a twirl. ] The girls do, anyway. The boys get really nice white suits with red ties - Poké Ball colours, y'know?

[ Dawn nods along as Hila speaks, and then chimes in. ]

Unfortunately, we don't have anyone here to show you guys how they look! They're really cool, though, so don't worry about looking silly.

That's right! But if you guys have any questions that we didn't get to, reply to this and we'll answer 'em. Hope we see you at the cafe soon!

[ and the feed goes off. ]

(( ooc: dark pink is Dawn, and light pink is Hilda! tags will come from both girls in your character -> Hilda -> Dawn order. ))

Guuys..a little help, please.

[Canada's feed is coming from the bathroom in Sigyn House, where he's been looking at his reflection now for several minutes and rubbing his face.

Not sure of what to do about his sudden new growth of manly facial hair.]

D-Does..anyone have a razor I could maybe borrow. I promise I'll give it right back too. Any help at all is greatly appreciated though.

((ooc: For a wonderful visual aid of this magnificent scurffage, here.))

I have a couple of questions!

[ Anyone who remembers Jade's last post will probably be relieved to see that her room is pretty much clear of the jungle of flowers and plants that she'd grown before. You can actually almost see the floor! ]

I know Hanako has Nashi, but does anyone else have a pet? Does Asgard have pet stores?

[ She holds up two fingers. ]

Secondly -- what do people usually do with money they earn here? Other than just buying silly things.

[ Three fingers! ]

And lastly, I've got time off from both of my jobs this weekend! Does anyone want to do something?

[ All of this being social is exhausting and so much fun, Jade is still thriving on it. ]

To those who wield fire:

I would like to know the extent of your control over fire as well as whether or not your abilities have increased significantly since you arrived in Asgard. And, if your abilities have increased, was it due to practice or did it happen naturally?

I suppose those inquiries could apply to any power, but I would like to compare notes with another fire user if at all possible.

Thank you.

[Filtered to Draco Malfoy.]

[Hermione switches to video, looking thoughtful.]

Have you made use of your power? How high can you fly?

[Other than that, because he's not horrible to talk to...]

Would you like to meet in person sometime? I don't know about you, but being around someone familiar might be a welcome change. [And she is going to leave it at that.]

[/]

The night sky sure is lovely. [She tilts her bracelet so that everyone can see the heavens.] Would it be silly to make a wish if I see a shooting star?

29 June 2012 @ 09:08 am
[Ranka takes a deep breath before she starts to talk. She opts for voice, because if she did this on camera she'd never stop blushing.]

Ah, so I have a question. Is it weird to like someone here? I mean I know that there is a lot going on, but it just sort of happened.

There is a person back home that I loved very much, but I'm not sure-

[She sighs again.]

I'm not sure I should even be asking this type of thing here. Sorry!

IC Summary of the Camping Event. )

Conclusions.
- Either we were sent to hostile territory or encountered a hostile scouting party in Asgard territory; either way we can assume that preparations for war are being made among the Fire Giants.
- We were not armed for battle. Those of us who do carry weapons found them removed. This fact is not consistent with the gods of Asgard's statements about how seriously they wish us to take this war -- unless it was their hope that deaths or injuries sustained among us might lead us to take their word.
- Baldr caused the camping trip to teach us a lesson about complaining in much the same way he wanted to teach us not to ask about our orginal abilities. The other gods distanced themselves from his actions but did not prevent them.
- I am tired and going to sleep.

((ooc: feel free to use this post to visit Conan at the hospital -- he will be spending a couple of days there. Also please feel free to time-skip as necessary! I am not sure how around I will be, so apologies if I am slow/stupid/all the usual disclaimers.))

You know, this has been troubling me for some time.

[Hey, Asgard, it's that guy with the clocks for eyes. And this time, he's looking a bit confused.]

So...I had a few questions about a certain phenomenon that occurs often between two people. They go and they, erm, lock lips with one another. Sometimes they put their...[He makes a face.]...tongues in each others mouth. I have no idea why.

But, anyways, what purpose does it serve? Does it exchange genetic material through their saliva? Or is it used as an action to distract the other person? I mean, I've seen it among people who love each other, but...I often notice it between people who don't love each other either. So, it's not exactly a gesture of love, is it?

[A pause as he frowns.]

Basically, what I wanted to ask all of you: what is, exactly, the purpose of kissing?

[There's nothing like cleaning up your bar from water damage to get your thoughts wandering to idle places, and Lucifer is hoping that everyone else has been similarly bored. Or at least enough to hold a decent conversation with him.]

It seems our little gods were brushing up on their flood mythos in the past few days, much to our displeasure, I've seen. It's a shame, since I expected something distinctly more biblical, and yet that wasn't much more than a good flood of the Nile.

Oh well. It seems that they didn't want to wash away the sinners, as it were. I wonder how many would even remain, if that were the case?

But questions of morality and character aside, a broader question—In the world you came from, what did faith and religion entail? Whether you personally followed them (or, I suppose you could still follow them) doesn't matter, I'm just interested in hearing about the religions of other Travelers. I would share my own, but I have something of a bias.

Though in honesty, I'm surprised that none of you seem to be worshiping the gods here. Fear of destruction usually motivates people to worship, not to take a stand against them.

[ There are half a dozen sunflowers behind Jade with blossoms literally larger than her head. The plant situation in her room really is out of control, now, but that's what happens when you're given a lot of disposable income, free time, and a level two growth power.

It takes a lot of concentration, but she's able to make a vine wiggle at the camera. ]

Does anyone need a plant or six? I've been practicing my power in my room, and it's sort of gotten a lot stronger lately. Things are a little out of hand! Most of them aren't hardy enough to live outdoors, and it's not like I can just throw them away, so here goes the start of Jade Harley's Botanical Adoption Agency, I guess!

[ She is grinning. This is totally absurd and she loves it. ]

Pleaaase, guys, I can barely see my floor right now!

This almost seems like the device Pascal used... [If Cheria was to believe what the maid informed her at least, though it didn't look like a bird hologram would be flying out anytime soon. WHAT A BUMMER With a bit more fiddling the bracelet switches from audio to video, and those viewing will be greeted by the sight of one (1) composed young woman.]

Good afternoon, everyone. I hate to be a bother, but if someone could give me directions to the Sigyn Welcome Hall, it would mean a lot to me. I'm currently located at, um... wherever new "travelers" first arrive, so directions from there would be good. Thank you for your time.

[And with that the feed clicks off, but for those actually around that area, they'll find a different sort of girl instead. She's practically DESPAIRING to herself over here.]

Oh, just what am I going to do? There's going to be so much trouble if I'm missing from the relief organization, and it's not like I can contact them from here. [Or at least she thinks she doesn't really know much about technology alright. However, seeing as her stomach chooses that moment to grumble quite loudly, it would seem that there were more pressing matters to attend to.]

Though I guess it's no use worrying about it on an empty stomach. [...] I wonder if there's somewhere to get grilled chicken here...

16 June 2012 @ 11:49 pm
[ The feed opens to show two familiar faces in the network. One of them, a certain purple-haired shy girl, is leaning back from the bracelet's camera and is visibly uncomfortable, basically looking away from it as if she's not acknowledging its existence. Aside from that tragic drunk post, Hanako never had to deal with using the video feature, but just this once she thought it was proper.

She'll let the boy next to her begin the speech, fidgeting around. However, he's just as awkward, except that he's acknowledging that the camera is turned on. He clears his throat so that his voice doesn't do anything funny when he talks and speaks.
]

Hello, everyone. Um... I was thinking that since the water is gone now, we could try and fix the plants that drowned. And while we're doing that, we can also probably plant some trees around Asgard and make it Arbor Day some time next week.

Arbor Day is just a day where you plant trees and care for plants. I know it sounds like community work and all, but we would really like your help.
[ Doesn't a greener Asgard look better anyway?! He looks over at Hanako to see if she wants to add anything.

She was awkwardly trying to get her hair to cover that half of her face completely, and when Damien calls to her, she gulps and tries to speak out as well... still facing away from the camera.
]

O-of course the flowers, gardens and smaller plants in general received the worst damage, so this plan won't include only trees. We'll have to use all the seeds we can find and plant them in any spot where soil is available.

[ And then a short, awkward pause on her end. ]

... I would appreciate the help of those in the Sigyn house who have the power of Growth like me. Even if it's minimal, I'm sure that together we can make the work faster. Perhaps even those with Energy Lending might give us a helpful hand.

But anybody can help too! It doesn't start without digging a hole and planting a seed, after all. Maybe there would be more colors if many people help out.

... Yes, that too. [ Fidget fidget. ] We haven't decided on the day yet, but we will let you know as soon as we sort it out. It won't be sooner than a week from now, though...

And if there's any questions, we can try to answer them the best we can.

[ And with a small smile, he turns the camera off. ]

[ ooc: This is a little forward-dated to when the flood is gone! Also, Hanako and Damien will be replying in separate threads. o/ ]

I don't understand why everyone is freaked out. I mean, we'll have to put off the plant-gathering expedition outside the gate until the flood clears up but otherwise this is great! It's water! Everywhere! And not even a drop to drink.

[ All right that was a bad joke. But she's distracted, splashing around as she makes her way through the city on what looks like a plank using her non-braceleted hand as an oar. Normal broadcasts are obviously never happening. ] So— Right! Okay. This doesn't actually have anything to do with the water but I was wondering...

DOES ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE FOLLOWING?
- Interpretive dance
- Explosives
- Guitars (electric or otherwise but preferable electric because electric guitars are basically amazing)
- Okay ANY instruments really
- Ballet
- Flying trapeze
- Toothpaste
- Paper cuts

That last one is EXTREMELY EXTREMELY important. Because you can't go snorkeling with a potentially fatal injury.
[ You can't go snorkeling in twelve inches of water anyway... ]

Oh, and PS? I'd really like to thank everyone who was involved in the birthday party for me and Nakama. I wouldn't have wanted to turn eighteen any other way and... the presents were all amazing. So— Really. Thank you.

08 June 2012 @ 06:14 pm
[Much like the two previous times he's addressed the network at large, Vyse is grinning from ear to ear, leaning in close to the bracelet.]

I know a lot of you are from worlds where you've got water between all your countries, so your ships sail on water! But where I'm from, we've got airships! Ships that sail on water are just weird.

So how many of you had the same thing? Do you think airships are normal? Or you've never seen them before?

It's something I've been wondering. [...And besides, he was practically dared to find someone who thinks it's normal! And if there's one thing he doesn't do, it's back down!! --Subtlety, what subtlety?

Circle Y or N, Asgard.]

[ sakura's finally managing to properly tinker with the bracelet without having to press every single thing on the screen. ]

Ehehe, hello everyone. I heard that everyone in Sigyn got a really big prize from the last contest. [ even though it didn't really feel like a contest to her ;; ] I just found mine in my account and it's reeeeaaally a lot of money but --

[ it feels wrong that she and others were paid to forcefully hug people? she's not sure what to do with that kind of money?

one grand is just too much for a twelve-year-old kid, c'mon.
]

-- Would anyone want or need it? I don't really mind giving it away since I have a place to stay and I don't think there's anything I can use it for. I don't even know what I'm supposed to do with it and someone else might need it more than I do . . . Ah, I guess I should find roller blades and maybe save for Syaoran-kun's birthday but aside from that . . .

[ why yes. that's sakura, offering up her prize to anyone who wants/needs it more than she does. yeah. ]

06 June 2012 @ 01:45 pm
I saw a lot of people objecting pretty strongly to the idea of forced physical affection, and it still happened. I guess that shows how much our opinion matters in the end.

[Yeah, she's still a little bitter, even if that event led to her relationship with Roxas. She heard Hanako's reply to Heimdall's post, and all the pain and anger vibrating through her voice, and it's set her off all over again.]

For future reference, gods: we don't like being forced to do anything. Not die or be stabbed, and not sing or hug people, either. Remember the opt-in events? They were better. Even if I was angry about the scavenger hunt after a war had been announced, it was better.

We're doing our best here. You don't have to force things along by removing our free will. You never know what will upset someone, and upset captives don't lead to the best situations. [Is that a threat against the ruling powers? Someone really has changed since she arrived here.] So if you're honestly asking for opinions, here's one: don't take away our free will again.

[And she briskly cuts the feed.]

It seems Malik has been missing for quite some time. Are we... to presume he returned to his world? What will become of his shop now? And the rest of us?

If I can still hold some sort of position, I would be most grateful. It is selfish to wish that he could have stayed here for a bit longer. He was a very kind man.
