What? No! Hey!

[Have a loud huff there, Asgard.]

I know! I know! I've read Loki's guide, admired all the drawings. They're brilliant. He's brilliant. Yes, everyone is over that way. I'm going to go see them an-

Whoops. Sorry about that, miss! I'm sure it was a good choice to wear the black silk underthings today and he'll appreciate it! Right. Touch telepathy. Forgot about getting that back.

[He'll be keeping his hands to himself until he forgets which should take about two minutes. He peers at it and grins with a small wave.] You know, I almost got put into an asylum back home over this. Now I'm back! Someone kept Nine's jacket for me, didn't they? And no one told him that I stole it and left the goats to eat him, right? That goat feed I dumped all over was a nice touch if I say so myself. I'll see you all in the hall, and you can tell me everything.

[ when the camera clicks on, for a moment, there is nothing but silence. simon looks around him slack-jawed, one hand raised to cup the side of his face. when he speaks, the words are said in a hurried whisper. ]

Wǒ bù xiāngxìn tā.

[ he clears his throat and turns his head to gaze into the camera. he swallows once, his adam's apple bobbing in his throat. ]

I, um-- Well, it would seem that I've returned to Asgard. [ a pause because a moment to process that, please. he exhales a shuddering breath, shaking his head. ] How-- How long has it been? Since I left? ... What have I missed?

[And the feed opens to a blunt, but cheerful sounding voice.]

So I apologize if someone's asked this before -- I'm sure they have but I'm still pretty new and all -- is it normal for people to be like...from the past in comparison to you?

[Cryptic question is cryptic. She also doesn't know how to filter things yet.]

Just wondering.

[ derek's done this before, he's found himself in this world, gone through the whole shit that is asgard, and had finally gone home... only to come back here again. powerless once more, it's a familiar feeling which makes it all the more unsettling, all the more wrong. the place is much the same too, as he's slowly starting to remember it, and it's not leaving him a happy camper.

he sighs dramatically, every word laced with judgement. ]

Your gods must still be losing the war, Asgard. [ for him to be back. ] Nothing surprising there.

[ and no, he's not going to ask who's still here because he really doesn't care. ]

[ 'Sup, Asgard. You know who hasn't posted to the network in ages? Giles. ]

Rather recently, um, I've found employment as a librarian in Odin's library-- it's a truly marvelous place, for any newcomers who might not yet have visited. I do thoroughly recommend as a source of knowledge, and, well, hugely useful as a means of combating boredom.

[ Giles fidgets with his glasses, and looks, for a moment, a little wistful. ]

Before arriving in Asgard, my resume boasted a year as the proprietor of a magic shop, which seems... perhaps a field less in demand, here. I do find Asgard's system of alchemy and runes thoroughly fascinating, though certainly in need of further research. It does, um, prompt one particular line of curiosity-- I'm aware that asking broad questions of the masses has become a common network practice.

I'd certainly be interested to know-- how many among us come from a world wherein magic is commonplace? Whether in secret or as a matter of public knowledge. I'd fallen under the impression that it's a rather large proportion. Perhaps similarities of this nature will offer some insight as to why those who were chosen... were, more or less.

Beyond that, I'm aware that a number of Travellers do operate their own businesses -- though a majority seem to be restaurants. I did very much enjoy it, at home. [ He does love being a librarian, but he misses the Magic Box. ]
