[ when the camera clicks on, for a moment, there is nothing but silence. simon looks around him slack-jawed, one hand raised to cup the side of his face. when he speaks, the words are said in a hurried whisper. ]

[ he clears his throat and turns his head to gaze into the camera. he swallows once, his adam's apple bobbing in his throat. ]

I, um-- Well, it would seem that I've returned to Asgard. [ a pause because a moment to process that, please. he exhales a shuddering breath, shaking his head. ] How-- How long has it been? Since I left? ... What have I missed?

[Don't mind her, she's just a little excited. A part of her had thought that she would never see him again. Of course she held out hope, every now and then entertaining the thought sf maybe seeing him but she never let herself believe it beyond the occasional flight of fancy.]
