Where I come from, most cultures have their own takes on the otherwordly, the supernatural. As shown in this entry, many of you are familiar with the lore of your world and even have had your own encounters with them.

Let me ask you this, to supplement the previous question: What creatures or supernatural beings of your world are generally portrayed in a negative light? Of those, do any have a particular fascination with blood?

The majority of supernatural beings are considered negatively, by humans at least. Of those with any particular association with blood, the vampire is most well known and most fitting.

Where I come from, the supernatural is a sham. [How blunt, Sebastian.] Gorey stories mothers tell the less curious children to get them to behave. [He pauses, though, looking thoughtful for a moment.]

More often than not, it turns out to be an animal. I know my predators and I'd wager all of 'em have a fascination with blood.

If the supernatural did not exist in your world, has coming to the city changed your perspective?

Some humans are just as drawn to bloodshed, though I find it interesting that animals were at the forefront of your mind when you answered my question. Why is that?

Negatively, as a rule, if they are seen as anything other than mere fiction. However, I believe some cultures have a bit of a fixation on vampires for some strange reason. Those are known to like blood, and some demons and were-creatures. But, it can depend upon the exact culture involved.

That would be correct. Though if you know of a being with a taste for other types of blood, I would be interested to hear it as well.

Regardless of what legends exist, I've only seen irrefutable proof of one kind of supernatural creature. It doesn't have any interest in blood. Why do you ask?

Yes. Supernatural beings do exist. All of them are portrayed negatively; they're nothing more than mindless monsters whose purpose is to be killed.

One of them had a particular fascination for human blood. It fed off of it.

Have there been sightings of such a creature?

[Yeah, something in Sebastian's tone set Samantha off. It was exactly the sort of emotion she was concerned about in general, and in this topic specifically it was a worry for her. But, something in the tone definitely had her mad. It was almost mad enough to speak non-anonymously, but she thought better of it.

I don't know what it is like in your world, but you should be careful. Not everything supernatural is mindless. Some of us can even, god help you, read. I wonder what we might think if we read what you said.

Fascination with blood, though, can refer to multiple 'supernatural beings'. You'll have to be a bit more specific than that.

Also yeah I think vampires kinda by definition have a fascination with blood!

The supernatural are only in movies, or horror stories...of course they aren't real.
