Greetings, Asgard.
[Listen up. Castle is actually on the network for something serious this time around.]
For those of you whom I haven't met yet, I'm Richard Castle - consulting detective and murder mystery writer. In fact, my books are available here in the library if you'd like to check them out, which I obviously highly encourage.
[Just because it's serious doesn't mean that he can't throw in a little bit of promotion.]
Anyway, as a writer, one of the things I've always wanted to accomplish, beyond entertaining people, is to help people through the art of writing. Recently I was approached with an opportunity to do such a thing.
Alison Argent [because he believes in giving the young lady credit] had the idea of starting a type of therapy group here where people would be able to journal about their experiences in Asgard, either as narratives or fictional stories. I know that many of us have been through a lot here in Asgard. It isn't always the... safest place to be.
[His eyes cloud for a moment as he thinks not so much of what he's been through but what Kate has been through. She's sacrificed so much of herself for this place, more even than what he feels is necessary, because that's the type of person that she is. Castle knows that a lot of the people here have a similar hero complex.]
Writing can be a very effective form of therapy. Are there people here that would be interested in a group like this? You can message me anonymously or privately if that makes you feel more comfortable. I'm also looking for someone with a background in psychology or medicine to help me run the group. I do want it to be legit, you know. [A smile. He had someone, a very nice young psychologist named Dr. Bloom, but she seems to have unfortunately disappeared from the directory.]
Alternatively, if you're looking for writing but not necessarily the therapy part, I'll be offering classes in creative writing at Severus Snape's school as soon as... the building gets sorted out. [Because yeah, lots of charred wood in there right now.]
And if you're unsure of what kind of teacher I would make, seriously, go check out the books.

[She saw Dr. Bloom's offer after talking about it with Will, only to learn from Maglor that she was in the fire and wasn't mentally there. Alice's aversion to psychology and watching her friend being accused of setting the fire isn't helping. She's more or less scoffing at this behind her bracelet before settling down on a reply.
God, if people really knew how bad some of these so-called doctors can be. But she promised Will she'd be civil; maybe he won't be that different.]
What do you mean by "consulting detective"?

[And he wonders what it says about this poor woman that she automatically assumes that everyone has some kind of ulterior motive.]
I work with the police department back home in New York consulting on murder cases. I help them to think outside the box.

You're sure your name isn't Sherlock Holmes?

[He grins, happy to hear a child's voice on the line. Castle misses his daughter and talking to children here helps it hurt a bit less.]

Maybe not, but you're the one who gave me the idea and who thought it would work well at Asgard.

[She writes in her journal as a form of therapy already, and she's run into some...trouble here, even if it was of her own making.]
I'd like to take classes too, if that's okay. I already go to the school but writing was always my favorite subject.

Great. You're more than welcome to do both. They'll be totally separate entities.
What kind of genres do you like to write?

Someone's written books about you?
[Congrats, you have something in common with Castle's fiancee Kate Beckett. She's also a muse.]

[Ryoji has a lot of issues with his past, after all this time, and he's not one to turn down trying new things, even if asking to try it feels a little embarrassing.]
If I had time, I might like to try the class as well, but I might be too busy with work right now. You have books, though?
video; private
Yes, they're in the library in Odin. I was pretty happy to discover them the last time I was here.

Reviews? There are some on the book jackets. If you can manage to find back copies of the New York Times they're reviewed in there also.
What? My word isn't good enough?

Though really, consulting detective. [Don't worry, Castle. She's amused.]

[He wishes. Castle isn't quite at the savant level that Holmes is.]
I hope people benefit from the journaling thing. It's a kind of catharsis, you know? Letting all your thoughts and feelings out on paper.

And, what exactly is a murder mystery writer? You tell stories? [He can guess, but he doesn't really get it.]
video;
And yes, I do tell stories - ones about people who are killed and those who try to catch killers and find out why they did it.
