[ OOC note: Okay, I lasted like three weeks but I'm back. So sorry to my CR, ahh. :C ]

Alastair Stara
09 February 2014 @ 02:07 am
[Alastair's hair is loose, and it is... rather long, actually. Almost down to his shoulders. He runs a hand through it and looks a little sheepish.]

I usually tie my hair back, so I guess I hadn't really grasped how long it's gotten until just now. Does anyone here have some skill cutting hair? It doesn't have to be much, just enough to keep it from getting too unruly, I suppose.

I can pay, if you like.

Jaime Lannister
09 February 2014 @ 04:34 am
[ He's dressed simply, after the foreign fashion of thick sweaters. Two books rest beneath his elbow, forgotten: A Concise History of Firearms, and The Basic Theories of Mendel and Morgan.

The Lannisters have never lacked for wealth, nor has Jaime ever found his trade uncertain. By rights, this ought to wound his dignity, but rights don't buy oats and hay.
 ]

A clever archer once told me that horses should be understood for a man's ambition.

All men love horses. The rich lord stables herds of champing destriers, the farm child but a single prized pony. There are horses great and horses small, but each eats, and eats, and eats in all. A man too attached to any finds his fortune soon spent, and naught but shit and trampled earth for the trouble.

Droll, if missing the principal purpose of a horse. At any rate, it is the hunger of my palfrey, and not that of my pride which concerns me now.

As droning about here seems the way of things: I seek a posting, with any who lack for the able and willing.

I've no bloody idea what a 'resume' is, but I know the care of arms, armor, beasts of war -- and aye, can read, write, and sum. I've a strong back and stronger stomach; long hours trouble me not.

He waves his stump idly. ]

I have ruled out juggling.

[Emily is just fiddling with her bracelet given to her upon arrival looking a bit skeptical of the magical aspect of it making it a commonly used communication device here but she figures it is worth a shot to try and see if it even works like she was told. It takes her a moment as she debates on how she should approach the situation but as soon as she does, she tries to herself somewhat presentable before she turn it on to address whoever is listening in.

She looks concerned given the situation while to giving off the impression she is trying to stay calm]

Not sure how I got here at all but it seems like I'm pretty far from The Hamptons now, huh? I'm definitely not dressed for this either— kind of obvious, I know but the last I checked it was still summer for me. [Emily crinkles her nose only to just let out a sigh before she continues]

I have to say that I'm impressed though— this is a rather creative for a mass kidnapping. Or really whatever this is supposed to be. [Though it's obvious from her tone of voice that she isn't buying it completely despite how it is probably commonly accepted knowledge here] I heard a mention or two about gods being involved and honestly even that seems a bit out there. I know people who would be pretty worried about my sudden disappearance so I'm hoping whoever can hear this can help me out.

My name is Emily Thorne, just to get introductions out of the way and if anyone can point me in the direction of someone who is in charge or even a better explanation of this situation? I can pay you back and give you a suitable monetary reward for the your time if you prefer. [Because that typically gets people's attention, right? She has plenty of money she can write up a cheque for anyways for those who would ask something from her in return at least]

[ooc; If you'd rather run into her in person around the time of this post and wandering around, she's also on the intro mingle here along with the link to her permission post included]

Robb Stark
09 February 2014 @ 10:28 am
[Where love might bring about sorrow, it also welcomes joy. The note hits a little close to home for him, because as glad as he is that his family is here, as glad as he is for Jon living right across the hall from him, there's still that sliver of doubt, of guilt, and that sliver's been enough to keep him up at nights, wondering if he should tell them, what he should say.

Love, he supposes, brings about both joy and sorrow, and makes fools out of kings easily enough (if not corpses). We follow our hearts wherever they take us--but right now, the only thing his heart is leading him into is more confusion and not enough sleep. He's not sure if using the network is going to help, but he has to at least try.

So, after filtering the feed away from Catelyn Stark, Jon Snow and Joffrey Baratheon (because he's just not in the mood to deal with Joffrey of all people right now nope), it opens on a very serious-looking Robb. Somebody didn't eat the chocolates. Or probably sleep that well last night, but he's no stranger to sleepless nights.]

I've two questions to ask of you, Asgard.

Say something terrible [ie a certain wedding] happened to you and your family, or someone you cared deeply about, before you came here. If they came here somehow and they didn't remember that, or they were too far away to hear any news of it quickly enough, what would you say to them? Would you even tell them, or would you keep their fates a secret from them until they do remember?

[Not that he'll take any advice telling him to keep their fates a secret. He owes his family truth about what happened, or what will happen, in some cases. They deserve to know that, at least.

He just doesn't know when and how to do it.

The rest of the video's unfiltered, and about a lighter subject matter than the first question:]

I've heard tell of something called Valentine's Day. [Look, he works at a cafe, and they've been stringing up paper hearts for the past few days to hook in Travellers. He has some very rudimentary knowledge of it.] As far as I know, it's a day set aside for those you care for. I would ask, what would you do for them for the day?

Tarrant Hightopp
09 February 2014 @ 10:37 am
[Shortly after his arrival, and orentation of sorts, Tarrant will quite simply get started the best way he knows how. The feed begins with the hatter standing in some odd place, and alley off somewhere looking around.]

Oh my, I knew that losing your muchness meant that you were muchier. But to go completely gray is quite mad. I should think that one would want to look their best even without their muchness. Though with such dull colors I should very much like to hat them with something more colorful.

And I should much like to have a hand at my trade again. I'll need my things should I be expected to hat so many people though. Tools, a pincushion, a measuring tape, thimbles of course, thread and needle, needle and thread, cloth, pins, cloth pins, scissors, mannequins, a tolliker, curling shakles, a hat guage and lettering machine of course. We'll need to hurry though, you see I simply mustn't keep Alice waiting very long. She's terribly busy you know know that the frabjous day is finally upon us.

Well, then, Shall it be a bonnet or a boater? Or something for the boduoir? Cloche, dunce hat, death cap, coif, snood, barboosh, pugree, yarmulke, cockle-hat, porkpie, tam-o'-shanter, billycock, bicorn, tricorn, bandeau, bongrace, fan-tail, nightcap, garibaldi, fez...

ʜᴏɴɪʀ ❧ god of travel and whimsy
09 February 2014 @ 04:07 pm
[ All of you need to stop giving Honir reasons to look sad on his only network appearances. This time, he looks downright bereft. But he smiles anyway; Mimir is steady at his side and it's enough support to get through this. ]

Can I tell you a story, Travellers? It's one some of you may have been wanting to hear - but it's a love story, for those of you that don't like them and want to avoid having feelings.

not IC cut for plot information! )

[ OOC NOTES: This is the IC post welcoming the Travellers to join them for a trip to Ginnungagap. OOC information can be found here and the mingle log is here. It isn't necessary to respond in order to go on the trip. All of the gods will be wandering through this post, so let us know if you'd like to speak to someone in specific! ]

Tony Stark
09 February 2014 @ 07:39 pm
[The Tony that greets the network with a sly smirk, one that doesn't quite reach his eyes, isn't the same man that left Asgard a few days ago. Noticeably, he has a hair cut and a few new bruises.. He's also dressed in a way that is not suspicious at all.]

So did anyone actually explain to the gods that it's very rude to send someone home just so they could watch their mansion get blown up? Oh, and don't forget the terrorist who kidnapped my girlfriend. It's just not kosher. You could at least warn a guy. I've got a heart condition, you know.

I'm assuming that these trips back to our worlds are a common occurrence then?

[At least he knows for certain that he didn't actually die in that wormhole. But it isn't as comforting of an idea as Tony originally thought it would be.]

I'm also assuming I haven't missed much. At least it looks like you guys didn't trash the place again--you can't honestly expect me to believe it was an earthquake last time.

OOC: Thanks for the patience while I took care of family things! I'll be replying to these ASAP.

[ there's not as much anonymity in an audio post as arya would like, but the text function has proven to be too troublesome for her to want to bother with for more than a minute or two. it's better than nothing, at least. ]

Do we have to stay in the houses? The ones with all the other people in our... [ thistotallyfeelslikeblasphemyorsomething ] "God houses"? Or are there other options?

[ she'd really rather live alone if she's honest, but failing that being a little closer to her family here won't hurt. that's all far too open to admit out loud though, so there's a few minutes of near silence - broken only by her quiet breathing and a little rustling as she fidgets in her seat - before she finally adds something: ]

....That's it. Bye.

[ and another silence follows before the feed finally cuts. technology is hard okay? ]
