❧ 001 ( video | backdated to day 400 )
[Emily is just fiddling with her bracelet given to her upon arrival looking a bit skeptical of the magical aspect of it making it a commonly used communication device here but she figures it is worth a shot to try and see if it even works like she was told. It takes her a moment as she debates on how she should approach the situation but as soon as she does, she tries to herself somewhat presentable before she turn it on to address whoever is listening in.
She looks concerned given the situation while to giving off the impression she is trying to stay calm]
Not sure how I got here at all but it seems like I'm pretty far from The Hamptons now, huh? I'm definitely not dressed for this either— kind of obvious, I know but the last I checked it was still summer for me. [Emily crinkles her nose only to just let out a sigh before she continues]
I have to say that I'm impressed though— this is a rather creative for a mass kidnapping. Or really whatever this is supposed to be. [Though it's obvious from her tone of voice that she isn't buying it completely despite how it is probably commonly accepted knowledge here] I heard a mention or two about gods being involved and honestly even that seems a bit out there. I know people who would be pretty worried about my sudden disappearance so I'm hoping whoever can hear this can help me out.
My name is Emily Thorne, just to get introductions out of the way and if anyone can point me in the direction of someone who is in charge or even a better explanation of this situation? I can pay you back and give you a suitable monetary reward for the your time if you prefer. [Because that typically gets people's attention, right? She has plenty of money she can write up a cheque for anyways for those who would ask something from her in return at least]
[ooc; If you'd rather run into her in person around the time of this post and wandering around, she's also on the intro mingle here along with the link to her permission post included]

[Tony chuckles, waving his hand dismissively.]
Besides I'm sure someone will explain it for free.
[Notice he didn't say he would.]
[she smiles despite how he isn't explaining much else] Does that mean you won't then?
That all depends on what you have to offer now that your wallet is filled with literal paper.
[A beat.]
Nah, you know what, this one is on the house. Ask away.
[Video] wow somehow i didn't get this notif. sorry for the delay!!
[she smiles though when he offers to explain] Well what can you tell me about our kidnappers? Are they actually gods like I heard mentioned?
[Video] don't worry! my gmail has been messed up lately.

Welcome to Asgard, Emily. My name's Kate. This is going to sound a whole lot like what everyone else has been telling you, but bear with me.
First, if you go into a store anywhere nearby they will lend you a cloak. You can either keep it or give it back once you've settled in, but they will lend you one either way. Second, you have basically been kidnapped. [ sorry gods, but it's the truth. ] But because of the way things work here - especially with magic - time won't move back home for you. You won't actually be gone, and no one will notice you're gone.
The gods are the ones behind it here, if you know anything about Norse mythology, and they're also the only ones who can send you home. But even then they're not inclined to because you're needed here. I'd also not recommend going to them to try and persuade your way home, because that also won't work.
video.
Wow, you weren't kidding— that definitely is a lot but it's good to know though and I appreciate the information and the welcome, Kate.
[another pause before she continues] I am actually familiar with Norse mythology but I thought it was just a theme that our kidnappers came up with for this. But you're saying they're actual gods? [she looks confused and slightly taken aback by that]
I'm not sure why I would be needed here specifically? But the part about time being on hold because of magic and being unable to persuade these gods— is that something you know from experience?
video.
I wouldn't say it's a theme. They really believe they are the norse gods. And whether or not that's true, it's how they organize everything here. It doesn't matter so much that they're actually Norse gods or not, but that's how they see themselves.
[ kate is quiet for only a moment before she nods. ]
I've been here for some time, then gone home, then come back. Nothing had changed back home, and it's the same for everyone.
video.
hearing kate's words only confirmed what she had heard from a couple of others too and she just nods] Still seems kind of surreal— but it's a relief to know that I won't be worrying people too much.
You mentioned going home and coming back to this place— out of curiosity, how common is that?
video. GDI MY INBOX HID THIS I'M SORRY

And getting anything useful from the gods is not happening, so you're sort of lost.
Audio
[she frowns just momentarily because she so does not like the idea of being stuck here whether she was taking a break from things or not] So talking with them won't help at all either?
Audio
[They really don't like people whining at them, as he found out himself.]
