Jenna Sommers
[The woman who appears on screen isn't looking so hot. A shaking hand wipes at the corner of her mouth, trying to erase any trace of what had just happened though it still looks like she's going to be sick, her pale skin dotted with beads of sweat as she sways on the spot. She's barely made it out of the palace let alone had a chance to explore Freya's district and it doesn't look like that's going to be happening any time soon.]

Ohhh-kay. [Blinking a few times to try and clear her vision.] You know I've had hangovers that felt - a hellova lot better than this.

[A soft chuckle escapes, one with a nervous edge to it and she presses herself back against a wall that is likely the only thing holding her up right now.]

My name - [Another wave of nausea rolls through her.] My name is Jenna Sommers and I - [She sinks down, holding up a hand as if to apologize and shakes her head.] Yeah I'm going to - try this again later... Unless you really wanna see the last thing I ate.

[Which you really don't. Really.]

[ Eric flicks on the video feed. He stares silently into the lens for a minute before exhaling a short sigh. One doesn't need to know him intimately to realize that what he is about to say will take some effort on his part. He's generally looking exhausted. Hell, he's not even undead anymore but he's looking just as pale and sickly as ever. Thank you arrival sickness. ]

It is not in my nature to offer unwarranted civility and courtesy toward those who have not earned it. However, I am familiar enough with humanity to know that generosity is similarly difficult to come by. With this in mind, I will attempt to be as civil as possible, all things considered.

[ Really. He has to carefully plan out how he’s approaching this word-by-word. ]

Normally, I would resort to my usual form of negotiating. Something along the lines of, you give me what I need and I will keep the full extent of my brutality at bay.

[ Another quiet, short, annoyed sigh. Wow. The world is so unfair. ]

But seeing as that my... abilities have taken an unexpected turn for the worse, I suppose it is in my best interest to attempt some level of diplomacy.

[ His gaze intensifies then, drilling in YOUR SOUL the camera. ]

Children. I would suggest that you now cover your ears.

[ Said flatly. The sincerity of that suggestion is questionable. ]

In regaining my mortality, I only assumed I would also regain certain... characteristics of my former humanity. Losing the general thirst and craving for human blood comes to mind. This, unfortunately, has apparently been passed off as irrelevant and so, I do indeed still require blood as food. Since I am not exactly in favor of dying any time soon, I'm requesting willing donors.

There's no rush.  I'm not particularly hungry as of yet.  Quite the opposite, actually.

[ Wow what a nice offer.

There's a beat.  He considers dropping an incredibly vague threat at the end of this but decides to hold his tongue for now.  Threats and morbid forms of bribery can always come later.  ]

Rᴀᴄʜᴇʟ Eʟɪᴢᴀʙᴇᴛʜ Dᴀʀᴇ • Tʜᴇ Oʀᴀᴄʟᴇ

Hey, guys. [ heyoo! Rachel's waving at the camera, fingers smudged with paint, as per usual. she seems excited, though, if not just pleased with herself. ]

So, I've been thinking. I know this place can be scary and there's a war going on and there are times when we're left fighting for our lives right after we've just been brought back to life, but. I've also been thinking about what else we can do, to help the city? And, naturally, what came to mind was the fact that we're supposed to be bringing color back to Asgard, too. Which we've been doing! It's- noticeable, the way things have been changing. But my idea is that we throw an art club together. Well, maybe not a club, that sounds like it's only for kids, but...

For all the artsy types in the city, the people who would much rather create and imagine things than pick up a weapon and fight - think that might be cool? We could meet at the school, maybe. After class hours. Or somewhere in Freyr? I'm sure there's a space we could use. Just somewhere a big group of people could get together and create things. Or talk about creating things.

[ meanwhile, she already came to the network with this exact idea a little over a month ago, and that the group has gotten together a few times since then... feel free to call her out on that ( ooc: also this is me totally using an excuse to pimp out art club to newer characters heh <3 ). but she doesn't remember any of it. not bringing it up, not meeting with people. the sketches she created there are still in her notebooks, but she hasn't made the connection just yet ]

I don't know, it's just an idea. I'm usually not really a planner. But picking a time and place for a group of us to paint together, or just sketch and color in the same space? I'd definitely be up for trying to organize something like that. So... let me know!

Mordred
07 May 2014 @ 10:43 pm
[Appearing upon the video feed is a small girl, no more then five feet tall in height, clad in a red jacket, skimpy top, and jean shorts. Despite her under dressed appearance, she carries herself in a bold and haughty manner that would most befit a child of nobility.]

Do any here know upon which criteria these so-called gods use to select whom they summon this war? For it seems to me that they must be so low as to be buried within the earth itself for women, children, and worse to be called forth to fight in a conflict that, from the sounds of it, would be better served by those talented in swordplay and sorcery.

Regardless of what the answer may be, I find that this is the most ridiculous conflict in which I've have ever fought. But I will fight it nonetheless, for my pride as a knight would let me do no less then to see this war through to its conclusion. For if anything, it will prove to be valuable experience for the battles ahead.

[As she clears her throat, Mordred's face turns from one of annoyance to a more neutral expression, as if the previous statement had been weighing upon her mind for a few days now.]

With that done and buried, I must inquire of you all where I may be able to acquire a proper sword? Since someone seems to have thought it amusing to strip me of both my proper armor and swordarm, I must obtain a replacement soon before my talent goes to rust.
