[ The feed opens to show two familiar faces in the network. One of them, a certain purple-haired shy girl, is leaning back from the bracelet's camera and is visibly uncomfortable, basically looking away from it as if she's not acknowledging its existence. Aside from that tragic drunk post, Hanako never had to deal with using the video feature, but just this once she thought it was proper.

She'll let the boy next to her begin the speech, fidgeting around. However, he's just as awkward, except that he's acknowledging that the camera is turned on. He clears his throat so that his voice doesn't do anything funny when he talks and speaks.
]

Hello, everyone. Um... I was thinking that since the water is gone now, we could try and fix the plants that drowned. And while we're doing that, we can also probably plant some trees around Asgard and make it Arbor Day some time next week.

Arbor Day is just a day where you plant trees and care for plants. I know it sounds like community work and all, but we would really like your help.
[ Doesn't a greener Asgard look better anyway?! He looks over at Hanako to see if she wants to add anything.

She was awkwardly trying to get her hair to cover that half of her face completely, and when Damien calls to her, she gulps and tries to speak out as well... still facing away from the camera.
]

O-of course the flowers, gardens and smaller plants in general received the worst damage, so this plan won't include only trees. We'll have to use all the seeds we can find and plant them in any spot where soil is available.

[ And then a short, awkward pause on her end. ]

... I would appreciate the help of those in the Sigyn house who have the power of Growth like me. Even if it's minimal, I'm sure that together we can make the work faster. Perhaps even those with Energy Lending might give us a helpful hand.

But anybody can help too! It doesn't start without digging a hole and planting a seed, after all. Maybe there would be more colors if many people help out.

... Yes, that too. [ Fidget fidget. ] We haven't decided on the day yet, but we will let you know as soon as we sort it out. It won't be sooner than a week from now, though...

And if there's any questions, we can try to answer them the best we can.

[ And with a small smile, he turns the camera off. ]

[ ooc: This is a little forward-dated to when the flood is gone! Also, Hanako and Damien will be replying in separate threads. o/ ]

[ You now have one (1) very sour-looking Aesir among you, Asgard. Have fun. ]

How dare they call this Asgard... [ He turns his gaze on the camera- oh. Make that one very sour-looking, handsome Aesir. Handsome or no, though, he is glowering and most displeased. He chuckles, though, as his expression changes, cause he's going to humor you chumps for all of five minutes. Use it well. ]

Well if this is 'Asgard', then where is your king? I wish to speak with the All-Father of this realm.

[Delirium hardly notices the water around her, she's got more important things on her mind right now... and she needs your help.]

What's the name for someone who's supposed to be dead but they aren't any more?

[It's been some time since Castiel posted, because his life has been alternately full of drama and oddly peaceful; the former times take his attention, the latter he's been trying to enjoy. But there are things to be done, and he's not going to fall into complacency.]

Many of you have likely seen Sam's information on the gods of this world. For those that have not, it can be accessed here.

I am interested in hearing of those who have encountered gods in their own worlds, and what they were like as well as what occurred. For those that have not encountered gods themselves, any experience with supernatural beings that might be considered religious in nature, such as angels or demons, would be of note as well.

[[ooc: Castiel is starting some scouting for people who might have some sort of interest or experience that would be useful in the little rebellion that's forming, so anyone who'd like to have their character involved, this is a place for them to start becoming so~ If you can't think of a good reason why they'd respond though, feel free to PM me and we can handwaive something!]]

[There's something odd about this post: for one it's on purpose and two, it's a voice one. Something seem off? Could be by the tone of her voice.]

I have a question for you, Asgard: is it wrong to wish others from home were with you here?

[It's just that line before she cuts it. Yeah, she's feeling a bit lonely.]

13 June 2012 @ 03:14 pm
Seems this place has a bit of an issue with a water leak at the moment --

[ No shit, sherlock. Though it's not so much of a water leak, than it is a possible apocalyptic flooding of the entire city. The sound of sloshing water can be heard over the audio as the video feed turns on. Ohh ~ a tall, handsome and rather buff stranger is standing in the entrance hall of Heimdall House. And he looks just a little bit confused and troubled -- oh and just a little wet. Maybe someone can lend him a hand? ]

Huh ... ?

Oh, um, Hi. Steve Rogers, here -- [ He salutes and stands at attention, perhaps a bit too formal of a gesture, but as confused as he is, he's gonna handle this the good ol' Captain America way! ]

I'm afraid that I'm going to need a bit more information than that nurse told me, so if someone could point me in the direction of the God named Thor? It's a long story, but if this is the city of Asgard he spoke about, then I'm going to need to speak to him. And in that regard, if anyone from my ... um ... world so-to-speak, is here, I'm going to need to speak with them as well.

I just need to know how I got here and why I'm here, so if anyone can lend me a hand, that'd be swell.

[ 'Cause frankly speaking, he's not happy about the prospect of having to adjust to a new world when he's only just barely started to get used to the other one.

He looks down briefly after a moment. ]

Oh and uh ... maybe a towel wouldn't be so bad, either?

[ inb4... why did it have to be rising water woes......

so, er, it’s kind of apparent that rising water’s kind of traumatic for velige. ever since the water first started rising, he’s been feeling a distinctly uncomfortable. a sort of an ashamed disquietude. and while it’s no different from his usual pokerface, it apparently bothers him enough to the point where he’s willing to send a message out to the network in an attempt to assuage his uncertainty. ]

I need a favour. Define whats it like feelin sad.

Or tell me a sad story.

Doesn’t matter if it’s real or made-up or whatever. Slong as its supposed tmake people feel something.

[ he thinks about this for a moment, then amends it-- ] Slong as its supposed tmake normal people feel something.

[And during Day 96, the network will be graced by one (1) text post. The poster is anonymous, and the contents are as followed:]

While we're all waiting for this silly flooding to be over, a question of discussion to pass the time:

Have you ever lost one you love?

It can be a lover, a friend or a family member. It also doesn't have to be a single loved one. Whether or not they're dead or just gone isn't important. You can consider this a place to let out the repressed feelings you never talked about before.

Remember to be polite. (^▽^)ノ

I don't understand why everyone is freaked out. I mean, we'll have to put off the plant-gathering expedition outside the gate until the flood clears up but otherwise this is great! It's water! Everywhere! And not even a drop to drink.

[ All right that was a bad joke. But she's distracted, splashing around as she makes her way through the city on what looks like a plank using her non-braceleted hand as an oar. Normal broadcasts are obviously never happening. ] So— Right! Okay. This doesn't actually have anything to do with the water but I was wondering...

DOES ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE FOLLOWING?
- Interpretive dance
- Explosives
- Guitars (electric or otherwise but preferable electric because electric guitars are basically amazing)
- Okay ANY instruments really
- Ballet
- Flying trapeze
- Toothpaste
- Paper cuts

That last one is EXTREMELY EXTREMELY important. Because you can't go snorkeling with a potentially fatal injury.
[ You can't go snorkeling in twelve inches of water anyway... ]

Oh, and PS? I'd really like to thank everyone who was involved in the birthday party for me and Nakama. I wouldn't have wanted to turn eighteen any other way and... the presents were all amazing. So— Really. Thank you.

cazzo, be careful!

[ good morning, asgard. claudia is looking... not as lovely as she, usually, does: plainly dressed, jeans and t-shirt. someone has introduced her to the wonders of (pink) rain boots, though, so she doesn't look particularly wet, at least. her makeup is plain, too, and nevermind the irritated air about her. it's not the flood — well, it is in as much the flood has forced her from her brother's side. so it isn't irritated so much as livid and sick with worry; she hides it well. but her surroundings look better, despite the circumstances: fine walls and the beginnings of even finer details. the women, fully-fleshed and -colored natives, look equally fine, too. one woman is standing on a table, her wide skirt held close, while another woman looks exasperated. too far to hear their conversation. someone is moving another table behind them. ]

I require hands — strong hands, whether you have been blessed by Thor or not. I will be damned if this flood makes my money wasted, e I would appreciate help in some heavy lifting. I promise the building is sound: you have no worries of safety. And you will be compensated for your trouble, of course. But hurry, per favore. [ most of that sentence is said in a sigh. ] There is only so much water damage that can be had before things aren't worth saving. [ another sigh. ] Grazie mille.

[ the feed remains for several seconds, only as a charming view of flood water and rain boots and claudia's voice, as she begins moving. someone is very testy, today. "what part of 'careful' do you not understand!" "sorry, ma —" ]

[ Guess who was walking back to Heimdall House when the waters started rising? This guy. By the time he actually got there, he was soaked up to the knees and everyone was sort of saying "wait water what". At this point, he expected no less from this place.

He doesn't really like telling people what they should do at all- he prefers if someone tells him what's up- but he can't let anyone get hurt if this gets any worse. ]

Everyone should try to get to higher ground. See if you can stockpile food and other supplies and carry them with you. If the waters get any higher, try to stay out of buildings. Their foundations could be damaged.

If we've already made plans for a situation like this, see if you can put it onto the network where people can see it. We'll have to plan for however long this lasts.

[ Anybody in Heimdall should be able to find him on the first floor stairwell, ready to reinstate this to anyone who needs it. Or if you're doing something stupid he'll wade into the water and grab you himself, but considering there's only about a foot of it he doubts there'll be any drowning. ]

10 June 2012 @ 04:41 pm
[When the feed turns on, Trucy has her free arm around a very well-groomed, well-behaved golden retriever. Though she's smiling, the smile definitely doesn't meet her eyes.] Hi everyone! Sorry to bother you, but I just wanted everyone to know that Apollo Justice seems to have gone home. Normally I would have just told his friends, but I wasn't exactly sure of everyone my brother hung out with, and I didn't want to miss anyone.

[She hugs the golden retriever.] If anyone's looking for Clams, she's going to be with me, isn't that right girl?

[She goes to turn it off, only to stop at the last second.] Oh! Conan, if you're listening to this, can I talk to you? Thanks! [She really does turn it off this time.]

09 June 2012 @ 07:19 pm
I noticed a few new faces showing up on the bracelet and that and Sakura-chan's question made me think maybe it was time to put these out there again. Sorry for the long-timers -- I'll try and keep this short so there's as little repetition as possible!

Info on Asgard.
Sam-san's guide to the Gods and Powers.
Edmund-kun's summary of the situation here.
My own guide -- more detail than Edmund-kun's but it's incomplete!

We're working on a compilation of all three guides to make things easier, but for the moment you'll have to make do! Let us know what questions you have that aren't answered or that you'd like to see addressed -- Sena-neechan, the neighbours club is on the list, but you volunteered to do the write up, don't forget!

There's also a magic-centric guild for those interested in learning more about all sorts of magic. You can contact Aladdin-kun or Judal-san directly, or register with the guild here.

If you want to learn more about self-defence, try The Citadel. For using the powers that the gods gave us here, you want to listen out for a meeting of the Teacher's Council! That's when volunteers from each of the houses gather so you can ask questions and practice using your power with people who kind of know what they're doing. By the way, I'm one of the volunteers for Hel, so feel free to ask questions about Body Control.

Help Wanted!

- Making / Stocking Emergency Kits! We have two emergency kits for each Welcome Hall, and are gathering supplies to make more. The kits are free to anyone to use in an emergency situation and currently contain basic first aid supplies, canned food, torches, candles and space blankets. Seth-niichan and I are managing this project. We welcome donations of canned or packet food, cash or time, especially if you're someone with the power of drawing life!

- Volunteers with Healing Magic / Power Transfer / Damage Drain are always welcomed at the Hospital in Sigyn! Incidentally, the hospital blood bank is now available to Travellers who need blood to survive. Ask the lab staff for details!

- Musicians / Artists / Cooks / Anyone with experience in parties I have an idea I want to run by you! Please get in touch.

And that's all! It got long after all ... sorry! I'll try to do better next time.

Hmmm, a lot of the people here have gone out and gotten jobs despite not actually needing them. It's surprisingly, you'd think more people would want to avoid the extra work...

[He pauses for a minute, looking thoughtful.]

I'm feeling kind of bored, so for those of you that have jobs, how different are they from the ones you had in your world? What made you decide to take the job you have here?

08 June 2012 @ 06:14 pm
[Much like the two previous times he's addressed the network at large, Vyse is grinning from ear to ear, leaning in close to the bracelet.]

I know a lot of you are from worlds where you've got water between all your countries, so your ships sail on water! But where I'm from, we've got airships! Ships that sail on water are just weird.

So how many of you had the same thing? Do you think airships are normal? Or you've never seen them before?

It's something I've been wondering. [...And besides, he was practically dared to find someone who thinks it's normal! And if there's one thing he doesn't do, it's back down!! --Subtlety, what subtlety?

Circle Y or N, Asgard.]

[after a while of trying to make sense of what the maid that welcomed him explained to him, Castor finally decides to get his bracelet to work & after... another while of trying to get that to work, he finally managed to get the video to work.... though he doesn't seem to realize it's working. he heard a sound but.. that's it]

Ah... was that it? Does it work? Hello? [he's not used to such technology so the lack of response troubles him. there's a concerned frown on his face] Perhaps I should just try.. maybe someone will hear me.

[he straightens himself up, coughing slightly before opening his mouth to speak]

My name is Castor. I am a knight of Arcadia, which.... I am not... in anymore. [a frown, but he quickly recovers with a small, friendly smile] This situation is ah, quite new to me & I am not sure exactly what is going on so I would like to ask for some assistance.

[there's a brief pause. woops looks like he finally realized how this 'video' thing works!]

O-Oh, um... yes well. I am s-still not used to this, er... this bracelet. I'm not sure how it works, yet. Perhaps someone can provide an explanation to me. [he sighs]

Oh, yes! I would also like to ask— [video cuts off! maybe he accidentally did something?]

I saw a lot of people objecting pretty strongly to the idea of forced physical affection, and it still happened. I guess that shows how much our opinion matters in the end.

[Yeah, she's still a little bitter, even if that event led to her relationship with Roxas. She heard Hanako's reply to Heimdall's post, and all the pain and anger vibrating through her voice, and it's set her off all over again.]

For future reference, gods: we don't like being forced to do anything. Not die or be stabbed, and not sing or hug people, either. Remember the opt-in events? They were better. Even if I was angry about the scavenger hunt after a war had been announced, it was better.

We're doing our best here. You don't have to force things along by removing our free will. You never know what will upset someone, and upset captives don't lead to the best situations. [Is that a threat against the ruling powers? Someone really has changed since she arrived here.] So if you're honestly asking for opinions, here's one: don't take away our free will again.

[And she briskly cuts the feed.]

The faceless people won't sell me cigarettes. They don't believe me when I say I've been deaged.

Help.

[Lisbeth has been aged back to 8-10 range of instead of her actual 24. Oh noes! But instead of her sheared black hair, piercing and tattoos she looks just as she did at that age. Red haired and cute, but surly looking. She hates it and is pouting on the curb outside a general store she saw when she first bought her gun.]

31 May 2012 @ 11:15 pm
[What begins with the feed is a light curse under his breath. Nothing major, but someone has woken up feeling and looking a little different than he's used to. His sight's changed, almost worse than before, and with the little height he's gained overnight, how he's moving his body is a bit different too.]

Tch. They're really not giving us a break anymore...

Of course, this still sounds like Riku. His voice hasn't changed at all, but there's a tone that wasn't present before. He's annoyed, and clearly pissed off, but there's a sense of maturity that might have only faintly been present before.]

Anyone got any temporary solutions to fix eyesight? Glasses aren't an option. [YET] Doubt healing is either.

[And with a pause, there's some rustling of what sounds like clothing, and a sigh that follows.] ...Probably some shirts too.

[For anyone that might be wandering around in Heimdall's kitchen in the morning, they might be treated to the sight of a different, older Riku, who doesn't exactly look pleased as he's raiding the fridge. He's gained a few inches in height even, but not much. Just enough to make his pants look short and his shirts tight across his chest. And occasionally, he can be seen holding his head in what almost looks like disoriented fashion. He could see clear as day the night before, but it seems this new, older body is nearsighted.]

((OOC: Forward dated to the morning of Day 91! Tags will be slow for the weekend due to plans that don't involve the internet, sadly ;; Just a forewarning for anyone. Sorry!))
