Tohru Adachi
04 May 2014 @ 03:20 pm
[Adachi looks extremely uncomfortable one what amounts to a massive video chat with an entire city. The fact that he's holding his head like its about to split open doesn't seem to be helping him any.]

U-uh... hey, Asgard?

[Wow that was timid; he might have been overplaying it a little, but his head was killing him at the moment.]

Did anything... weird happen to anybody last night? 'Cause weird sure happened to me.

[He started rubbing at his head, moving his hand away to reveal a nice bruise where his head had hit his bed post when he blacked out.]

...feel like m'on a bender without the actual bend.

Irving Braxiatel

[At the same time each day, the radio in each welcome hall (and any that people have chosen to buy in the meantime) comes to life ready for the day's radio.

And as part of the routine, Irving's voice, calm, clear and warm, is the first sound you hear. Despite the day he's having, he's keeping it off the radio.]

Good morning --d welcome to Asgard's Audio Ser [...] vice. I am Irving Braxiatel and this is your community radio. Created by you, for you and with the hope that we become a greater community together.

I'd like to apologise first for any... interference... [There is no interference, there's only Brax and likely other people disappearing, but he is reasonably convinced that letting that slip is a bad idea.] that [...] may pop up occasionally. I'm afraid the equipment was rather more damaged than I thought in the flooding.

[I'll add a few comments down below with starters about programmes going on and your character can react, add to them, whatever you need. If you want, you can 'ring in' by posting a comment of your own with 'radio station' or 'Irving Braxiatel' or any other contributor you like and the contributor might respond!

More information, as well as a place to ask any questions or plotting can be found here.

irene adler ♛ the woman
04 May 2014 @ 07:42 pm
[ the woman on the video feed is immaculately pulled together; her makeup is perfect, her hair neatly put pulled into an updo that no doubt took more than a little bit of practice, her outfit as close to perfect as possible now that she was out of her element in asgard. she's also a woman who hasn't been seen in the city in quite some time. she'd simply dropped off the radar - not uncommon for her, but certainly strange. ]

You know, I am as fond of my beauty sleep as any other woman. However...

[ her voice is carefully amused; someone well acquainted with her or with the mannerisms of others may find it a touch on the fake side. that said, she puts on more than just a convincing act; like her clothing, it is nearly perfect. ]

I do wish I'd had a bit of warning before finding myself asleep for so long. I do hate being behind. Pity, it doesn't even seem that I've been missed.

[ the way she tips her chin to one side, propping it on her hand and leaning engagingly towards the camera is slightly taunting, as though daring someone to protest otherwise - to say that she had been missed. still, after waking up that morning, there was one thing that irene adler had not discovered yet. one very unpleasant surprise.]

I don't suppose anyone would be an absolute darling and fill me in? No?

Jamie McCrimmon
[The past few days have been exceptionally strange, even by Jamie's standards. Not particularly good ones, either, with people he knows disappearing all over the place and that funny sort of foggy thing that's been happening with some of his memories. However, when the ghosts start turning up in the city, he decides enough is enough and flips on the bracelet to see if he can get more information.]

Now, listen, I know there's been some odd things happening the past few days, with people coming and going like they are. But has anyone else noticed that people've been coming back differently? Sort of transparent-like, almost, like they're not really there at all. Ye can't understand what they're saying, or get them to understand what you're saying, or do much with them at all.

Don't know about the rest of ye, but I'd almost say they were some sort of g--

[And it's right in the middle of that word that he vanishes, leaving behind only the sight of a stall at the stables he normally works at. A split-second later that's gone as well, as his bracelet goes dead and he vanishes from the lists, like anyone else who's disappeared recently.

It's not until the sun's nearly set later that day that he reappears in the same spot, although the feed doesn't automatically kick back on along with him. Seeing the way that the light's shifted, though, he knows he's been gone for at least some time - and there's likely a few people that are going to be worried. His first instinct is to go to them rather than try and use the bracelet, and he immediately takes off from the stables, heading back towards the house in Thor. There's still questions to be answered, but sometimes it's hard for him to avoid giving into his impulses first.]

(ooc: any messages left will be replied to, just with a small delay due to his temporary disappearance.)
