[The shakiness of the feed as it turns on makes it clear that the bracelet broadcasting it had been dropped, and the angle it has landed on provides an awkward view of a native man backing away suddenly, scrambling to his feet as the heavy sound of boots echoes on the floor of one of Draupnir's practice rooms.]

Please, come to your senses! You've already shredded the sheet music and that was—

[A yelp cuts off the rest of what he has to say a knife whips past him to pierce the piano the man had almost seemed to be protecting, but then he steps forward and out of sight. The next few seconds are a frenzy as the sounds of struggle and a cat hissing meld together, neither the man who had appeared before and the person he was talking to appearing in view as the last of the shreds of paper settled after being disturbed.

Then there was silence for several seemingly long minutes until a soft groan is heard, and not long after the figure of one clearly tired Eyes Rutherford comes into the picture clearly to pick up the fallen bracelet, though his attention is on something off the screen.]

No, don't apologize. You did what you had to and I thank you for it, leave the cleaning to me.

[Samantha's visible on the screen. It looks like her laboratory right, a series of glass beakers, and other apparati covering the left and right, all very busy with substances bubbling in them. There's a heavy thermos next to her and she's swilling something that keeps making her gag. The half-demon looks almost feverish right about now, her body twitching as she looks up at the camera angle.

She's haggard, but extremely focused.]

I've tried twelve different concoctions. None of them have worked. The tea's not potent enough, and one of the mixtures almost did me in. This is a fair warning. Whatever the witch's doing, it's strong, and it's seriously screwing with my head. I am not going to give up trying to find something that can work against this curse... but I don't want to put anyone at risk. I'm a danger to myself and everyone right now. I can almost 'feel' her.

[She shudders and downs the rest of the glass, half-gagging before she claws at the table.]

Don't any of you fucking give up. It's not allowed. We beat the shadows. We'll beat her. [As she starts coughing, something flops up onto the counter and makes a croaking sound up at her. It looks like a toad.]

Screw you!

What the...?

[ This message pings across the network several hours after the SOS post following James Potter's murder ( warning: blood/violence ) and Jade's confession for the crime.

It's only a few hours after Odin took Jade for some very humane euthanisation. It's been such a fun day. ]

It wasn't her.

There are more out there.

Find them. Bring them here. One way or another.

[ And that's it. Get to work, chums. ]

[It’s his first time on the network, and Tom looks more than a little nervous about it. Is it like being on the telly? He feels like he’s on the telly.

Nervousness aside, the biggest problem with it being video instead of text is the lack of subtitles.
]

Never had no trouble with frogs before. Quite liked ‘em when I was little. But now they’re being all rude, and something must’ve got ‘em riled. But it ain't right, using that language where a lady might hear them.

[But there's something else troubling him.]

So, I was wondering if anyone knew what made them scratches on some of the doors around here. They showed up a couple of nights after the full moon and-

[He shouldn’t say it. Tom’s used to the existence of certain kinds of monsters humans being kept secret at all costs. But he’s heard that things are different here. He finishes with the perfect puppy dog expression, even though he’s less puppy now than before.]

And it weren’t me what did it.

he leaves the eye and seeks the mark.

[There is no name attached and there will be no replies, because this isn't meant for the residents of Asgard as a whole. It's a signal to the Assassins to check in at the bureau no later than two hours from now, something all members were brief on as part of their membership packet and complimentary order of hummus.

Not that anyone knows that. Have fun wondering, Travelers.]

When the Assassins arrive at the bureau, they'll hear the following from Altaïr. )
