[ How about that rainstorm, Asgard? Guess who was walking to work this morning and got caught in it? ]

Reward offered for one brave and ingenious soul who can brave
this tempest to bring me a towel and a change of clothing.
Serious inquiries only, please.

Damned thing.
Ah. There.

[To say that Sebastian Moran is still figuring out how his bracelet works beyond the most basic of functions would be kind. Still, he's managing a video feed decently, even if it's a bit unsteady since he's holding his arm to position the bracelet with no idea how to fix the position of the feed device.

Still. A for effort.]

Now.

You'll pardon the interruption, I hope. Jus' got t' wonderin' 'bout somethin'.

I understand, of course, that things in this city cost. Everythin' does, after all. One way or another.

Wot I'm wonderin', y'see, is whether these "gods" can -- for somethin' of equal value, even like a favour -- bring something of personal value. Like they brought all of us.

I'd be grateful, certainly, if anyone could tell me.

Now that things have calmed down a bit- [ Freak rainstorms don't count. ] I would very much like to know where I can go to get a good drink. That is, whatever you find to be — by your estimate — the best place in this city.

I have promised to take someone drinking, you see, and he is, how to say, a very little bit picky. I wouldn't want to find myself further in debt to him because I chose a place that was not to his liking — although I may already be simply for saying he is picky.

I am very sorry if I have bothered anyone and would like to thank anyone who might be able to help. Farewell!

[ With an oddly sort of cheery smile, he then promptly signs off. ]

[ loki's attention is focussed with some degree of attentiveness, it would seem, on the storm outside more than on the bracelet and the feed. when his gaze does shift back to the bracelet, he merely offers something that could be perceived as an apologetic shrug (it's not, it's more dismissive than that, but—) ]

If I didn't know any better, I'd be tempted to say that someone's rather upset.

[ there's a couple of moments of silence, and he raises a finger. it almost looks as if loki's going to turn the feed off, but for a brief expression of thought that crosses his features. it soon gives way to a quirk of his lips and a smile, and he leans back before speaking again. ]

Doctor Banner. Tony Stark. Captain Rogers. Men my [ another deliberate pause, and this one's punctuated by a twitch of his eyebrows and a fleeting expression of particularly private amusement. ] brother would call his allies, and men the Earth would rely upon to save it from armies and creatures unimaginable. Only a few of many; I wonder, how many have been lost in the days since the Darkness? I do find it touching how they call upon Loki as their spokesman. You all pay service to how you know not to trust mere words, and yet what has been done to find the truth that lays beneath?

Perhaps the time has come when Utgard and Thrymheim deserve more than cursory curiosity and the belief that Asgard's enemies are our own. [ a beat; consideration. ] Unless the pointless deaths of thousands are what you truly wish to carry with you for the rest of your lives.

( ooc: I've had a few thoughts on the plot I suggested a little while back, so I'll probably be getting in touch with people over the next few days/BECAUSE I HAVE TIME OFF to sort things out about that. just as a heads up! )

Greetings, Asgard.

[His expression is pinched and withdrawn, quite a change from the easy going bloke most are likely accustomed to. Despite this, he continues addressing Asgard calmly. He has spent long enough over thinking things in his room since the Darkness subsided.]

I offer my condolences to those affected, and if there is any way I can be of help, even if you consider it insignificant, please do not hesitate to ask.

[The thought that people may request ridiculous or asinine things doesn’t even cross his mind. ]

In light of what has recently transpired, I wish to offer my services to those who would like to learn to protect themselves. I specialise in swordplay, though I can offer other means of defence as well. The Citadel, where I am also employed, can offer teachers with a great range of specialties, if you are looking for something in particular.

For those who think they do not have the means to afford lessons, please contact me. I am certain something can be arranged.

[He swallows before continuing, determinedly looking straight at the bracelet recording.]

I must also apologise for [He nearly falters, sickened by the possibilities of what could have happened while he was Taken. Of what those missing days meant, of promises he failed to uphold.] anything that I may have done in the past few days.

[There is a quiet click as he turns off the feed.]

[The video feed switches on and at first the feed shows nothing but what appears to be the inside of some sort of club. It's empty but the strobe lights are flashing as viewers are graced with the image of an empty, yet well-stocked, bar.

Soon the view changes, bringing one Roxy Lalonde into view as she walks across the dance floor, switching the view to show Dirk doing his thing on the turntables.]

[Dirk is mixing some music together, a nice flow of hip hop and electronic beats designed to dance to (he's got skillz, use your imagination). He's pretty engrossed in the turntables, ignoring the video feed for the moment. And then he shuts down the music so they can begin, face impassive.]

Sup, Asgard. Welcome to Stride.

[Roxy comes into view again, hopping over next to Dirk, leaning against him as she sets the bracelet down, making sure that they are both in view.]

Hey Asgard! Just like Dirk said, welcome to Stride! Some of you might remember this place 'cause I helped Dave set it up, but we just wanna let everyone know that we're getting it up and running again!

[Dirk's mostly unfazed by Roxy leaning on him and picks up where she left off.]

If you don't know of it, the short version is it's a dance club. The uncut version with hidden features will be handed out at the door. [In the form of hand stamps after admission's paid.]

It's gonna be a club for us younger folk to hang out in, so anyone under 20 is cool to hang out here! Older peeps can too if I think they're cool enough to be let in here! We got a bar but it's just normal drinks since I'm not meant to give anyone booze, the dance area then we got a whole lot of retro arcade games for people to play so come check it out!

[Grinning, Roxy turns to Dirk, silently asking if there's anything else he wanted to add on. Apparently there's nothing else he wants to add, though.]

We also need people to work here so check out the info I'm gonna send out to you all. Especially those who were working here before! Ask us if you've got any questions and we'll see you soon!

[ooc: Info on the club is HERE if you would like to be a part of it! An open log for it's first night will probably go up sometime soon.]
