Date "HISTORICALLY ACCURATE" Masamune. 『伊達政宗』
06 February 2012 @ 03:33 am
ARE YOU READY, Shijou?

Virtue is not knowing, but doing. Let us retrieve what has been lost.

[ today, on the date-shijou cam, you get lots of motion! in fact. rather frantic motion, along with various pig oinking sounds in the distance! if you focus, you might catch a sight of a... pig? that seems to have a sword in it's mouth.

a shift in scenery now, and we're in the kitchens of the thor house! pig's darting off... somewhere, but there's a bit of a pause from the running here to pick up what appears to be a bag... of flour. AND NOW WE'RE MOVING AGAIN. no chase sequence is complete without a scene of SLIDING DOWN A SLIDE standing up, so that's what one silver-haired idol and dead asian are doing... along with the pig, who's oinking all the way home.

takane, however, has had enough of dis shitto by the time they reach the bottom of the slide.

she gives masamune a bit of a look, and he seems to understand. those following at home might not know what's going on, until she gives a neat little chuck of the bag of flour she has in her hand. masamune... slashes through that quite easily, causing a nice explosion of white.

everywhere.

needless to say there that once the smoke clears, there is one (1) samurai and one (1) idol covered in white, looking completely... chill. there's a pig at their feet, looking... unconscious, but masamune doesn't seem to mind as he sheathes his final sword. takane's just... takane. ]

Hah! That was a nice party.

My proficiency in pursuit has taken quite the upward spiral lately.

[ just that little one liner, as takane manages to hoist up that pig. of course, slide climbing is rather dangerous like that. challenge accepted.

so the last thing you get on this feed is the sight of masamune tucking takane under one arm, pig on the other arm, and climbing up this damn slide himself. citizens of the thor house may find that little mess of flour, along with this samurai and idol's attempt at taking a "shortcut". ]

(( ooc: dual-post! both takane shijou ( [personal profile] classifidol ) and masamune date ( [personal profile] dragonizing ) will be tagging. order for anyone tagging in action will be YOU -> MASAMUNE -> TAKANE! ))

[Sam had turned on his bracelet for a specific reason -- really, truly, he had. But things get lost in between the cracks when you are occasionally crazy. And, unfortunately, this is one of those times.

It sounds like Sam is outside -- just walking, but quickly. As if something is following him.

-- or someone.

When Sam finally does speak, it's in a quiet mutter, to himself -- he obviously hasn't noticed his bracelet is on, because to Sam, it looks like it's off. In fact, a lot of things look a little bizarre to him -- but that's besides the point.]

Shut up --

[And Sam stops speaking abruptly for a few seconds when, finally, the footsteps cease, and there's a soft thud, along with a long exhale ending in a soft curse.]

Like any of this matters, there's nothing there. ... -- goddammit.

[And the feed suddenly ends. Until Sam sends out a few private messages about fifteen minutes later, as texts.]

--all the times to disappear!

[Had the gods been merciful, they would have…well, not brought anyone here against their will, but that’s beside the point. Had they been merciful to anyone who happened to catch this on the network, the message would have been audio, not video. Unfortunately, the speaker, who doesn’t appear to realize the device has been turned on, continues moving the hand holding the bracelet erratically, turning the picture into a blur and probably giving anyone still watching a headache. You're welcome.]

It's my spaceship, he says. Doesn’t explain why I’m in the middle of a great, whoppin' city when I should still be in the TARDIS. I’ve had enough of old cities and their gods, thanks. And now these strangers want us to help them after they kidnapped us. Bloody gods! Couldn' have picked a better time to plonk us down here?

[Some more movement of the picture, though it finally stops and settles when the speaker slips the bracelet into her pocket.] Now where has everyone else gone off to? Even the TARDIS is gone!

[Even through the formidable temper, the undertone of worry is obvious to anyone who listens closely enough.] If you can hear me, Doctor, don’t think you’re getting out of explaining this one. I can think of a few things to say to you right now, and I’m startin’ with: Not. Happy!

[She had been here for some time now, but it's only just now that this little fairy is addressing the network, setting her bracelet down in front of her because she found it easier. It's just been easier to respond to others, really!! She seems curious about something, and the crossbow that she has nearby might be the reason.

It's probably not hard to notice that the bow is about as big as her, too. How does she even wield it?]

If I may wonder... is there perhaps a place in which I may practice with a bow? My mother's bow... I have only just recently come to realize it has lost its Psypher properties. 'Tis very strange, but then, there are many stranger things to be found in this world, it would seem.

... I would also like to inquire as to if anyone may happen to know where I might acquire arrows, as well.

H-hey! What's going on here?

[Well somebody's upset. His voice is actually cracking a bit. What a pitiful creature this is.]

I was just at work reading about my future, like a few minutes ago, and I don't remember going to a weird planet to do stuff for some gods being in there anywhere! Bender, what'd you do? This is your fault, isn't it? Leela and I were having a moment, and I never get to have moments! You tricked me, didn't you?! That's not fair!

[He seems to be close to crying now. Oh dear...]

It's not funny, Bender! I-I know you did stuff...! Stop...Doing stuff!

Hazama

[With all the recent fuss centering around a certain deadman, it's bound to happen that a third party will interfere. Too bad that third party is Hazama.]

It has come to my attention that while we have a balanced ratio of men to women, some people are not just satisfied! First, it was assumed this person may have undergone some trauma that made him so, how can I put this delicately? Ah yes, sensitive to women in general.

He denied that right off the bat.

Next, others guessed he swung the other way! That ended spectacularly, as his denial became bigger than any ocean. And since I'm all out of ideas, all I'm asking from the wonderful people of this city is if you know some...other solutions to his problem. [He's not pointing out to this conversation whatsoever, nope.] If you do find one, please direct it a Kiyomasa Senji! I'm sure he'll appreciate your assistance.

...oh? His name should have been left out? Whoops.

[oh, it looks like another part of a video got added right after-]

And apparently he likes horses! It takes all kinds, I suppose. Any takers?

[Or as much of an "apology" as you're gonna get from this girl, Senji. Brace yourself this is going public.]

Alright, so apparently an old buddy of mine thinks I'm trying to ruin his life or somethin'--but he's got that all wrong. It's just a friend tryin' to help another friend out, right? Not like I'm spreading total bullshit about him or giving him a bad name.

...But I guess I jumped the gun on assuming something here. I always thought he was just shy around girls 'cause he was some giant prude, but....well....I've gotta correct myself on that.

[And she's reluctant to admit it. Or is she?]

Didn't know you swung the other way, Crow. My bad.

[And have an almost apologetic (but more of a smirk than anything) smile here before the feed ends.]

((ooc: SHE IS IN HEL IF ANYONE WANTS ACTION OR TO SEE THIS IN PERSON BTW))

I must admit, this isn't what I expected. These bracelets are fascinating devices, though; I'd love to figure out just how they work. I've never seen a projected interactive display quite like it. I've never been much of one to believe in things like magic, but I suppose that, as I'm faced with substantial evidence to the contrary, it would be best to revise my opinion. [She pauses for a moment to touch her desk; curlicues of frost form around her fingers, spreading a few inches over the surface before they melt.]

Something's happened to me, anyway. Whether it's science or magic - well, I'm sure that magic is governed by rules and logic, much like science is.

KURODA KANBEI.
06 February 2012 @ 06:10 pm
[ the feed switches on with a familiar grumpy face. he isn't looking at the screen directly; rather, he seems to be staring at something on his lap - his hands, which is now decorated with the bracelet once again. after a quiet moment, he finally speaks. ]

... I cannot say this comes as a surprise.

[ he releases a soft sigh, closing his eyes. ]

My return had been expected. It is logical that I must return here to finish what I have started. If there is a task - or, tasks, rather - I must complete in order to return home, I shall do just that. However, if the Gods in charge can see this, I only ask that you do not send me back home only to bring me back - it is a waste of both of our time.

[ not that Gods have limited time. Kanbei, on the other hand, does. ]

To the current residents... if you intend to request for the method of which had brought me home, save your breath. I have no such knowledge.

[ aand feed clicks off. ]

[Hello, Asgard. If you're just checking out the feed, you may suddenly find yourself staring into the bright blue eyes of a very ordinary-looking man. He doesn't have any crazy hair colors, or seems to be wearing anything extravagant- he seems simple, and looks like the sort of person who you could easily forget about when you pass him by in a crowd.]

[But his eyes are what draw you in. For, they're as calm  as the horizon of a calm sea, and they just seem to pierce into you, as if he can see into your very soul with them. They're old eyes for such a young-looking individual.]

[After a while, he speaks.]

How interesting. This place isn't so different from back home.

So many people in one place, so many stories, so many tragedies and hopes colliding with one another. And so many flaws. But this is to be expected. Everyone is flawed.

[He smiles slightly, glancing at the city around him before he turns back to the feed.]

And this place is flawed too, isn't it? It is devoid of color. And if what I was told was correct, I have to help bring the color back. But is that in everyone's best interest, I wonder?

Tell me, people of Asgard. What do you truly want to do here? Do you want to help the gods? Or are you only playing along to get something more out of it?

...Are you the selfless or the selfish?
