Reno
15 January 2012 @ 12:15 am
-- lot of fucking nerve...

[Hey folks! Say hello to Reno's face. Reno's face is looking a little worse for wear, with flecks of blood and soot and, well. Some people would argue that looking as angry as he does is really not attractive in the least.

He pulls a face once he notes the video's working - he hadn't really given much thought beyond "make sure you know how this thing works," and so now he's not actually sure what to say. He knows enough to know screaming and shouting demands isn't going to get him anywhere (fuck if he doesn't want to, though.) The smart thing to do - check for allies. Regroup.]

[SIGH. Soundin' mighty hostile about having to do this too.]
Just in case it's of any interest to... anyone, this is Reno-- of the Turks. [...] If there's any Shin-Ra personnel around, I'd appreciate it if you just happened to feel like saying 'hi'.

15 January 2012 @ 12:46 am
[ Rather than this newcomer here sounding scared or upset, the young female voice coming from the communicator just sounds...kind of peeved. ]

Listen, I don't care what that letter said, I'm not staying here. So if someone could just point me to whoever it is who did this, there won't be trouble. Much of it, anyway.

[ Mutters: ]

I'm going to kill that old man when I get out of here. If he hadn't gotten in my way, this wouldn't have happened in the first place.

[ There's a short pause, followed by a gasp. Tokage now sounds surprised-- in shock, even. ]

What the hell is this? I'm not supposed to have-- now I really want to know who did this.

Don't be shy...I'm not in the mood to drag people out today.

[ And anyone wandering around Hel district will find a grumpy-looking woman walking around, wondering why everything looks so bland and...yeah, how to get out of here. ]

the doctor
15 January 2012 @ 01:07 am
Oh, right, this thing! So, this is a holographic telecommunications device, complete with camera, phone, and text messaging. Crafty little thing, though, looks like it has an automatic turn-on feature. For what, I don't know. Maybe it's like a candid automatic! Catches you doing embarrassing things, that's fab. You could record something and post it on Youtube, get a laugh out of--

Well, there isn't any Youtube here, is there? Which is really a shame. All those cat videos just out of reach. I suppose you could start a separate network to just share silly camera videos. Could you do that? Could we do that? Doesn't seem to be any rules to using this thing, does there? Let's see...

Oh, it's broadcasting.

Hello! [ he waves, grinning brightly. ] You know, it's a bit rude to eavesdrop. Then again, it's not your fault. Automatic turn-on feature, like I said. If you managed to hear that, earlier. Now, let's see! Who all is here, hmm? Could we have a roll call?

If that's possible. There is a commenting feature on this, isn't there? ... yes, there is. Thought so.

And don't be shy! We're all aliens here. Oh, right. Introductions. I'm the Doctor, the Caretaker, or, if you like, John Smith. No, nevermind, no, not John Smith. Just the Doctor. How about you all?

Sasagawa Kyoko
15 January 2012 @ 01:31 am
[The feed opens to a young, confused looking girl somewhere in the Freya district. Cold, somewhat lost, and a little shaken up by the sinking realization that she is far, far from home (and apparently can't go back), she's a bit of a pathetic sight at the moment.]

-is it working..?

[She pauses, a million questions rushing to the front of her mind at once. After a moment, she musters up the best smile she can for the video.]

My name is Kyoko Sasagawa. I-I'm wondering if there's anyone here from Namimori? I'm looking for my big brother, and my friends!

[Because she couldn't be the only one here, right? Last time something like this happened, everyone had shown up. So she can't be all alone...right?]

Popura Taneshima
15 January 2012 @ 02:04 am
[There is an elementary school student wearing a waitress's uniform on the screen. Actually, she's almost eighteen and a real waitress, but that's almost impossible to tell from the feed. Or in-person. She's cold, too, shivering a little.]

U-um...this thing is on, right? Ah, I think it is! What a relief! I've never used something like this before. [She's good with cellphones, not bracelet...interfacey things.] This is a really weird dream, but I'm kind of lost. I've been looking at my map, and--[There's the fluttering of paper as a sudden gust of wind blows her map away. Somehow she's gone a bit out of her way, since she's suddenly in the park.] W-wait! Just one second!

[And then Popura is in action mode! She runs over to the tree! Luckily it's caught in just a few low branches, anyone would be able to reach it...except Popura. And the camera is treated to a view of her stretching, standing on her tip toes, trying to reach the paper...it's clearly an arduous task for her. Luckily, she's reaching with the hand her bracelet isn't on, so the viewer is usually treated to a shot of her boots or the scenery.] I...I've almost got it! Just---

[And she puts her left wrist on her right, just to push a little higher...and her fingers touch the paper, only to have the wind catch it again and carry it higher.

There's a long silence as Popura stares up at the tree, part of her face hidden before she addresses the crowd again.]
In my dreams, I can reach things like that, though... Can anyone tell me where Sigyn's house is, please? Thank you very much!

[And the feed ends.]

...I don't get it.

You want us to restore color to this place? Why not just slap a nice coat of paint over all the gray spots? Bam. Problem fucking solved.

Beam me up Scottie.

Akemi Homura
15 January 2012 @ 06:22 am
[Homura looks a little sheepish when she gets her bracelet working. Finding herself here has been confusing, needless to say, but she can't simply fret over it forever.]

Um... hello? T, This is working, right? I'm not sure what's going on, b-but my name is Homura Akemi, and I guess I'm in House Sigyn now...

[A small pause, as she fidgets slightly, adjusting the bracelet a little bit.]

I... I-I was wondering... has anyone seen my friends? [She got separated from them, right? They're probably looking for her, as well, right? Homura will hold onto that hope for now.] One has pink hair tied up with ribbons, and the other has curly blonde hair- t-their names are Kaname Madoka and Tomoe Mami, a-and um...

... If someone has seen them, could you tell them where I am? I would really appreciate it...

Mako "Nakama" Nakarai
15 January 2012 @ 07:13 am
[Those who know her will notice that Nakama has gradually begun to look calmer and healthier - her face has regained its childish pudginess, and there's not so much tension around her eyes. Today, though, she looks like she's on a mission.]

Hello, everyone. With so many new people arriving, I thought now would be a good time to bring this up.

When I was new here, I went around and mapped out all of the businesses in the city, adding them to the map we got when we arrived here. At first I was just going to use it to help people find their way around, but I thought it'd be more helpful if everyone could have their own copy. I don't really know how to make a picture an attachment on these bracelets, so I just made some photocopies.

[It took most of her first paycheque, but she did it. She holds up her original - all of the districts and the landmarks are there, but this one is bristling with dots and notes (in Japanese and the shared Asgard language) stating what each dot represents. There are cramped notes about the size and content of each business as well. After enough time to get an idea of what the map looks like, she lowers it again.]

If you'd like one, just let me know your name and room number in your district, and I'll have it mailed to you. You can screen your response so that everyone doesn't find out where you live, and I promise I won't tell anyone.

Oh, and sorry about the Japanese... I just thought I should do that in case I ever forgot the language we speak here for some reason. It's all a bit cramped, but I hope it's legible.

15 January 2012 @ 09:08 am
[The video turns on as Akane stares at her bracelet. Just what function does it have in this 'game'? It's different than the ones she is used to, but she fears it nonetheless. This isn't her game. She has no clue what's going on, and the fear she felt when she played the first nonary game, well, it's back.

Looking a little uncomfortable, she looks at the bracelet noticing it's on. So it does work that way! That bit of uncomfortableness she once showed is now replaced with a smile. A bright, cheerful smile!]

Hi! So we're here to live and grow, right? How are we supposed to do that? Is there a game we're supposed to play? Are these gods and goddess going to punish us if we don't follow these basic rules?

It seems interesting, and I hope we can all get along and make it out of here together!

[There's a sound of laughter after that, emphasizing how cheerful she is in contrast to the expression she initially showed.]

Oh, do we go by our real names here, or do we have codenames? If we're doing codenames, I'm June! Let's all get along, okay?

Keine Kamishirasawa
15 January 2012 @ 09:11 am
[having gotten used to the bracelet's features by now, Keine's post this time seems flawless, mostly!

She'll be appearing on the feed now, the corners of her mouth turned up slightly in her signature gentle little smile, as she addresses the audience~]

My, my! So many new arrivals, and all in the same day! I'd like to extend a warmest welcome to each of you newcomers. I am Keine Kamishirasawa -- written in Japanese Kanji as 'wise sound', and 'upper white valley stream' -- of House Sigyn. It's a pleasure to meet each and every one of you.

[she pauses a moment, as if to give some time for any listeners to absorb this information]

Now, I understand not everyone might be all that enthusiastic about cooperating with the Gods here and completing the task given to us, but why not stay any negative emotions about the entirety of this circumstance for now, and follow along for now until a way home is discovered? Let us all get along together, shall we?

[another thoughtful pause~]

Some of you might have noticed that any special abilities you might have possessed back home are now no longer present -- everyone here is given an ability unique to their own assigned House, perhaps as a safer replacement to what they might have possessed before, or perhaps as a sort of preparation against some sort of intruder upon this world; nothing that requires the use of these abilities has happened as of yet, however.

Speaking of abilities, I happen to possess the Healing ability, as do some other members of House Sigyn; should anyone be injured in any way, please, do not hesitate to seek our help.

If anyone has any questions or simply wish to converse with me, feel free to reply to this message.

Once again, welcome to Asgard, and I hope to get along with each and every one of you.

[and with a nod, she'll touch the bracelet on her wrist to cut the feed shortly after]

Yui Hirasawa
15 January 2012 @ 10:03 am
[Having gotten over the initial freak-out upon arriving, (her quick recovery was possibly due to the fact that she has her guitar with her here...!) her expression when the feed begins is something of a forced smile, being a little unsure about all of this...]

Hello, everyone...! [... but as she speaks, she seems to regain some confidence and enthusiasm. It's just like talking to a whole crowd of strangers during her gigs in school, after all!]

I'm Yui Hirasawa! I am going to be nineteen this year, and I've just graduated from high school! [why does this sound so much like a self-introduction in class...] My hobbies are playing Giita over here, [she brings her Cherry Sunburst Gibson Les Paul up for everyone to see~] eating sweets, and bumming around! [... did she just say 'bumming around' was her hobby?!]

So um...! How are we supposed to bring color and life to this place?

SOHMA SHIGURE
15 January 2012 @ 11:28 am
[sfkl;sak WELL waking up in some strange new world was definitely the last thing on Shigure's to-do list. especially with what was going on back in his own world.
despite all that, he seems to be unfazed by it all. hence the smile on his face as his video feed starts. (meeting that maid earlier might have had something to do with it...)]

My my, what an interesting predicament indeed! Being asked by gods to help restore the life to a city... it reminds me of that novel idea I had a few years back, actually... And being given all these lovely accommodates, I find it hard to turn down their request for help! [kind of hard to tell if he's being serious or not--]

I digress, though! I've come up with a fantastic idea that is guaranteed to help this city flourish!

[--wait for it--]

More girls in maid outfits!

Tohru Adachi « 足立 透 »
They have some nice games here. Since everything here is pretty much provided for us, I've gotten a chance to relax away from dealing with work all the time in ways I never even dreamed of before. It's nice. I'm sure the gods thought of that and that's why they're doing this. But, uh, that isn't what I wanted to talk about. Well, it sort of is sort of isn't. I know not everyone is like me...

What I really wanted to ask about is the presence of a police force. I mean, everything seems pretty calm and peaceful now, but that's because we're all still getting our bearings. It's not like everyone brought here is going to be calm and peaceful all the time. So, I guess what I'm asking is if anyone had any thoughts about that?

And government, too, this place seems like it's just waiting to become a City-State or something along those lines. Maybe we should start looking at things more in the long-term, since we're all apparently stuck here for the rest of our lives. I mean, all right, maybe even if we ourselves have peace our whole lives, what about any children that are produced? And their children? We might want to look at setting something up for the future.

I'm Adachi, for anyone who doesn't know. I know I haven't made my presence all that clear on this thing before, so for formality's sake: everyone, it's nice to meet you.

Shion Sonozaki
15 January 2012 @ 01:36 pm
[ Sitting in the main hall of Loki's House, Shion is fiddling with the hem of her outfit. One moment she was at work, and the next-- Well. ]

It's way too cold for my uniform. If someone's going to kidnap a girl, they should at least wait until the girl is in travelling clothes. [ frowning ] Most kidnappers use guns and chloroform. Are these guys inexperienced or what?

[ Shion huffs, brushing some of her hair over her shoulder. ] This whole thing is pretty lame. It could be true; it's still lame. There's no excitement in a monochrome world.

So... Anyone know where I can find a clothing store?

Sam Winchester
15 January 2012 @ 02:25 pm
[Look, Asgard! It's a Sam! And not only is it a Sam, but it's a Sam that actually looks a lot more content than he has since he's arrived in Asgard. He's even not in the library, for once in his life -- he's poking around the Freya district, out of curiosity. But despite being outside and exploring, he's got something to say, so he's just going to make a PSA in the middle of a street because he ran out of fucks to give about looking normal.]

Hey -- it looks like we've got a lot of new people arriving in the city, so -- I'm Sam Winchester. It's nice to meet all of you -- and I thought it would be easier to just address the city as a whole instead of linking eighty million people to the same thing.

A couple of weeks ago, I made a guide to the various gods and houses of Asgard. It's still being updated and edited, so if something looks out of place, don't worry -- I'm working on it. It's kind of been a weird couple of days -- anyway, anyone can view it and access it or ask me questions. Consider it kind of like a welcome packet to the normal people who find this a little weird. And, uh, on that note --

[Sam turns slightly.]

Anyone figure out how to get past the wall yet?

[The feed ends, but a text file is sent en masse to all new residents of the city, bearing the text attachment Guide To The Gods.txt. It is easily downloadable and saved for easy access.]

Minatsuki Takami
15 January 2012 @ 03:22 pm
[Have a screen full of a very pissed-off Minatsuki, who's shooting a nasty glare into the bracelet's holographic screen and ranting.]

Hey. What in the goddamn hell's going on, here? Is this some kinda sick joke?! Well so sorry I forgot to laugh! Where's the twisted fuck who started this? I'm gonna kick your friggin' kneecaps in once I get my hands on you, dumbass!

[Of course she didn't listen to the maid's explanation past the use of the bracelet—she'd been too distracted with trying to attack her, only to find out that her Branch of Sin wasn't working. That just made things worse.

She sighs in frustration.]

Tch...Anyways. Brother? Ganta? Senji? Any of you guys here? No way I'm the only one of us who got dragged into this shit...

[Anyone around Hel will probably run into an angry Minatsuki who's trying to figure out just what's going on. She may not look approachable at all, but she is in need of answers.]

Kanako Watanabe
15 January 2012 @ 04:53 pm
My, my. A city we have to restore? That sounds pretty exciting, doesn't it?

[She offers a smile, but something definitely seems off about it. It's probably not hard to figure out that there's something fake about this girl.]

My husband's back home--and I can't say I'm disappointed by that--so I'll surely need to find some company if I'm to flourish here...

...I wonder, who'd like to provide me some? Hmmm? Ah, but don't get too excited about spending time with a beauty like me, I am married after all! So we can't get too carried away!

[A chuckle and a wink.]

...Ah, I guess that's all I have to say for now...hopefully someone will come forth and help me relieve my boredom...if you entertain me enough, maybe you'll even get a nice reward~!

[She blows a kiss and cuts the feed.]

[Well, wherever he is, it sure as hell isn't the welcome hall the maid had pointed him towards. No, in fact, the angry kid being recorded has he plays with the bracelet and interface hasn't gone anywhere near his new home. Actually, from the look on his face, one might assume he's not just angry, but driven too. Though on what, or who, is all but impossible to guess until he starts talking]

Chosen by the gods? Is this some kind of joke? Who the hell do they think they are? I'm so sick of...

[He's muttering to himself right now, but conveniently, also realizes that the thing is working.

...he thinks.]

This working? Looks like it is. [He actually tries to poke it. That goes about as well as you will imagine, being a hologram and all. Enjoy the close up of his finger] Fancy stuff they got here. Shame about how they couldn't use any of it to clean up after themselves.

This place and these gods can go ahead and rot for all I care. I'm not buying the stuff that invincible maid was selling about there being no way out. So just point me in the direction of the way out already, and you can get back to being sheep for these faceless cowards.

GUMI
15 January 2012 @ 05:35 pm
[The resident Vocaloid is definitely up to something. She looks way too happy and bubbly to not be suspicious.]

Gumi just thought of something. With all these new travelers coming, it's really been awhile since Gumi sang or practiced Gumi's dancing. And that's no good, Gumi'll just get all rusty that way. [literally] So, Gumi found somewhere nice and private to practice a bit-

[Placing her bracelet down on a table facing a small stagelike area, Gumi, dressed up for the occasion, bounced over in front of the camera, showing off her work.]

But then Gumi thought where's the fun in being all shy about it! If Gumi is going to perform, best to go all out and push caution to the wind! Plus Gumi can find all the other singers so much faster this way!

[See, she has her priorities.]

So everyone, all you new people too, let Gumi's happy feelings reach you!

[Switching on the stereo that conveniently had an off vocal of one of her tracks -well okay so she had to find the right place and pay the right price- Gumi decided on performing a shortened version of Your Love Will Surely Skyrocket✩. For those susceptible, her energy could definely be felt through her song. For those not susceptible, well just look at her dance. It's too happy to not smile a little at.]

[And with a kiss to the camera, Gumi slips her bracelet back on and turns off the feed.]

[[ooc: and for those curious, here's a translation, though keep in mind there is no second verse in the version she's singing. yes it is all sunshine and rainbows. just trying to find a good format for these types of posts.]]

「ミヤビ ☆ レイジ」 ♠ Head ♠
15 January 2012 @ 06:03 pm
[A feed starts up of a young man in a fancy mask sporting a fabulous blue feather on its right, calmly staring at the screen. His elbows are propped up upon a desk of sorts with his fingers interlaced and resting underneath his chin, while there is a pensive expression on his face.]

Hmmm. [He hums it, before quieting once more. Moments pass as he motionlessly stares at the screen. Will he speak or just continue this endeavor? There's another "hm" then he opens his mouth slowly, forming a syllable.]

I suppose I could start off by asking what many before me probably have. But then, I would only receive answers to what I already know and would be wasting time. Since I'm sure everyone would prefer that I don't repeat what would be pointless, I thought perhaps I'd introduce myself, though I already guess not many of you really care. [He pauses for effect, and moves his shoulders ever-so-slightly before continuing.] Regardless, I have one thing I must ask and hope to get an answer to.

I imagine most of you find this to be unacceptable, being brought to this city against your will... like me. So I ask, [A breath,] does this then make this world "ours"? The God's have the ability to bring us here, strip us of any powers, then grant us ones they see fit... it seems. Why not restore this world themselves?

[Some people have no respect for a good night's sleep.

Those up at the early hours of the morning just might be treated to a boy calling out for friends, "Reeku" or "Kairee" atop rooftops around the city. Sora's first impulse, naturally, is to search for his friends.

Sora's second impulse, between attempts to disrupt local sleeping schedules, is to explore. It's a new world, and despite the minor inconvenience of being kidnapped by Norse gods he never knew existed, he's rather optimistic about finding a way out. This is totally a temporary stopover. It always is. His travels throughout the day take him from district to district, from the Hospital, to the Arena, to Gefion Park. Luckily, his last leg of the journey takes him to the Carnival in the evening, where local ghosts are quite helpful in helping him puzzle out the functions of the bracelet(when they're not trying to scare the marbles out of him).

Sorry, Asgard. Sora's very first broadcast of the evening has a spooky start! It zooms in on the face of a gaunt, pale-faced ghoul. The ghostly image only persists until Sora's much healthier complexion squeezes into the picture beside it.]

Whooaa... it's working!

[Sora turns to the ghost, unfazed by its unearthly appearance.] And this is gonna help me find Riku and Kairi?

[An affirmative moan from the ghoul, mostly an incoherent murmur as it retreats from the foreground. Unfortunately, the ghoul hovers eerily above Sora's head, peering down at the viewer for the duration message. Only slightly unnerving.]

Well, if anybody out there's listening, I'm Sora. I'm trying to find my two friends. One's named Kairi. She's got red hair, she's about this tall and probably the friendliest person you'll ever meet. Then there's Riku! He's got messy white hair just like this guy. [Sora jerks a thumb at his ghostly friend.] Riku can be kind of grumpy sometimes, but he's a really good guy once you get to know 'em.

If you see them, let me know right away, okay?

[He very nearly finishes the message, but then he remembers! There's a burning question reserved for his housemates in Freya. Unfortunately, his attempt to send it exclusively to the Freya House ends in failure. All of Asgard is posed the question:]

// Failed Private to Freya Housemates \\

By the way... Have any of you guys tried using your powers yet?

[The feed ends with him looking a little sheepish, maybe even a little flustered.]

—does this thing even- oh, there. That must mean it's working.

[A youth with a very serious face has appeared on the video feed. Look at those eyes, they're so deep, aren't they?]

This is not the afterlife I expected. I thought... I thought there may not have even been one for me. The Shade lied. Gods and goddesses, what is this place? What kind of madness have I been pulled into now?

[A small bit of hesitation. It's a long shot, but if he's supposed to be dead, then maybe the others...?]

Emil? Weiss? Are you guys here? ...Kainé... [No, she's supposed to be alive, unless that damned Shade really did lie about it all.] Do those names sound familiar to any of you people?

The middle of a new wave of arrivals seems as good a time as any to share this.

As far as I've noticed, there are quite a few of us here who aren't used to the level of technology present in this city. If you just want to know how to make dinner without setting the kitchen on fire, go ask somebody to show you how things work. It'll be faster.

But if you want to know not just how to use what's here, but how it actually works:

[and then there is a nice neat list of titles from the library intended to give a good overview of the development of science and technology, through about a twenty-first century level. annotated, in fact, with helpful notes like "read the one above this first if you want it to make sense," or "this is good but the diagrams are awful," or "this one is very informative, if you happen to have a strong masochistic streak." no, really.]

This will not be enough information to solve all the lapses of communication you may run into, but it will help.

(On that note, I'm currently seeking resources on modern slang, because some of you are nigh incomprehensible. Suggestions would be appreciated.)

-king? My, how technology never fails to live up to expectations.

[The feed crackles for a second, then two, before a man tapping the bracelet on his wrist appears on the screen. It takes him a few more seconds to notice the thing work, and even then, he gives a wave. The man in question is smiling, even if it somehow feels a little off.]

Ah, yes, hello. Would anyone mind telling me what the situation at hand is? I was just enjoying my breakfast before finding myself here. [He flourishes his hand in the feed, as if emphasizing his point.] And if someone were to direct me to the nearest cafe, that would be greatly appreciated.

[There’s nothing unusual about the man, nothing at all. He seems to be waiting for something, anyhow.]

Spike
[Should you wake up to find yourself in a new world, with a new body, and no sign of the people (or, perhaps, ponies) you knew... Well, there are many ways to respond. There are those who panic, those who cry or scream out their displeasure, those who accept their fate and do what they can to adapt...

And then there are those who just grumble and grouch. Like this skinny teenager with his spiky green hair and conspicuous lack of a shirt. (The video cuts off at shoulder-height, so who knows if he's wearing anything else.) He looks briefly impressed at the display his bracelet is giving him, but shortly settles back down into a scowl.]

This thing can send a message to everypony in the whole city? Sheesh. So even if I still had my fire breath, that's me out of a job. Maybe there's a library I can sort books at or something...

Well, I guess I should introduce myself. My name's Spike. I'm supposed to be a dragon, but now I'm... I dunno what I am. [He looks down at his body bemusedly.] Pink. And all soft. I miss my scales already. [And now back up to the camera.] So... If there's anypony else from Equestria here, let me know? Otherwise I guess I'll just go find my new "house". At least they gave me a map.

[Having a plan, however small, seems to help a little. Spike seems calmer as he turns off his feed.]

[The feed snaps on to show a girl, seemingly no older than twelve, seated at a cafe in the Odin district with a cup of tea and saucer in her hands. She takes a short sip from her cup, and places it onto the saucer with a dainty click. After a small sigh, she glaces up at the recording holographic screen, her red eyes carrying depths of boredom.]

... I tire of this place. Really, having the nerve to send me here without my servants to accompany me... It's quite vexing. I much loathe to frequently make arduous treks to this cafe, all just to enjoy a cup of tea. Even the high quality of these blends makes little consolation.

[She places the teacup and saucer onto the table, the same place her bracelet sits on, and rests an elbow onto the chair's arm, her pale cheek leaning lightly against the knuckles of her hand.]

I suppose I shall introduce myself. I am Rachel. For those who enjoy injudiciously holding attention to irrelevant matters, I am the head of the Alucard family. You may address me as 'Master,' 'Your Worship,' or 'Mistress,' if you are feeling... courageous. Don't bother explaining things to me, for I am already aware of them.

[What. The little girl is surprisingly verbose... and bitchy.]

Now then, moving on to the purpose of this broadcast... I understand that my finances have failed to follow me here as well, which proves to be quite the inconvenience. However, I am not made for coarse work, therefore... You will answer my inquiry: Are there any educational establishments in this dismal city? I find it fitting for someone of my caliber to instruct, or at the very best take over as headmistress. [A small smirk appears on her lips as she lets out a chuckle.] Oh yes, the idea very delightful indeed....

[Yes, if she must earn money, she might as well find an occupation that gives her authority. Her smile quickly drops back to her usual disdainful expression.]

... Though if there aren't any schools, it certainly would explain the mindlessness of these... people... if one could refer to them as such.

Roxas
15 January 2012 @ 09:15 pm
[He knows he hasn't spoken to anyone in a while. The fact is--]

[He couldn't bring himself to. Not with Sora's abrupt disappearance, not after Kovu made his departure as well. His memories are a mess; whilst half of him thinks he shouldn't be noticed, the other just doesn't know how. Both sides don't.]

[But now, he feels like he actually has something of merit to say. And that's why Roxas is sitting there, looking increasingly uncomfortable about being under the camera's view.]

So I got a job with one of the local smiths. [A small pause. How is this even useful to know?] And he said I could put my pay into the materials for... something from back home.

[A small scrap of paper is held up, revealing a not so horrific drawing, though it really doesn't do any justice to the real thing.]

It can't be exactly like it was back home, but it's better than nothing.

[Another, slight pause. Roxas doesn't look down, so much as he doesn't particularly look like he's feeling at all. Blank hesitation.]

And he said if others were interested, we could look at designing blades from other worlds-- for a price.

So...tell me if you are.

That's it.

Hatori Sohma
15 January 2012 @ 09:42 pm
[When the video pops on, the calm visage of Hatori can be seen. His left eye is almost completely blocked by his black hair, and his right eye is a blueish purple. His moves are very deliberate as he studies the odd communication device. Finally he speaks, his tone matter of fact as he does.]

It seems that there has been a mistake made.

There was no reason to bring me here, because I cannot do what you've asked of me. I cannot help color your world, and I have my own duties to attend to back in my own world. It would be better to return me and find someone more suitable for your attentions.

[He pauses and his lips purse.]

Also, for taking up my time, I will make a request. If you are thinking of taking her away from them, you might as well bring the other two. I'm sure if you are as omnipotent as you seem, I don't have to waste time conversing as to why.

Tohru Honda will not be taken from the Sohma family easily.

[Having spoken his peace, Hatori turns the device off.]

Varon

Right, it was brought up as a suggestion so here goes. Anyone up for a spar, I'm game. Come as you are or bring your weapon, doesn't matter. I'll be in the center grounds if anyone's interested.

[Varon's not looking for a win/lose scenario but it's certainly a good way to know people his way.]

Kiyomasa Senji (千地 清正 Senji Kiyomasa)
15 January 2012 @ 10:25 pm
[Senji comes into view, and it seems as though he's walking around, glancing at the different areas of the house each time he walks into a room.]

So first things first, just checkin' to see if this bracelet shit is working just fine. Seems like it so far, it's just weird to have to use an accessory to talk to people.

Second... uh-.. since I'm new around here, where's the best place to work out? There has to be somewhere. I asked that maid about the locations and shit, but it slipped my mind to bring up the most important question, where the hell can a guy go to lift some goddamn weights?

I mean I could always just do push-ups and everything in my room but still...
