[Steve's voice sounds clear and well rehearsed as he speaks into his bracelet, as if he had actually planned the speech before hand to avoid stumbling on his words. Which...he'll never admit to.]

This may sound strange, but I was wondering if anyone is at all skilled in sewing. I have something that needs patching up, but the damage is more than I'm able to fix myself. I would really appreciate it if someone would help me out. I'm willing to pay for the work, of course.

[This is a task he's been putting off, but as things move closer and closer to total warfare, he figures now is as good a time as any to have his uniform patched up.]

...If anyone has any tips on getting out blood stains, that would help a lot as well.

Bloodstains require cold water, if I recall correctly.

I'm afraid my sewing is perfunctory at best, but if no one else can help you, I'm willing to try.

But that's only in the case of fresh stains, isn't it? These ones have been sitting for awhile.

Never use hot water, only cold. Some fabrics are easier to clean than others, and the age of the stain is a factor.

And for blood stains, cold water works best if it's fresh blood.

There are multiple minor tears and one large tear along the front. I would be willing to show it to you if you want. That way it might be easier for you to determine if you fix it or not.

Alice has helped me with it once before. Older Alice, I mean. And I know some sewing? I'm not the best at it but I could try help. I don't have a machine, so it'd be by hand, which takes longer though.

I just want it to be in wearable condition before the war really kicks off.

And there are clothes shops here. They might be able to repair the other thing.

Believe me, I would do that if it was just another article of clothing. But it's not something I can so easily replace.

Well, if I can't get my hands on it there are a few other things I can try. But thanks for the tip.

It depends on how long the stains have been setting for. If it hasn't been more than about a day, you can use white vinegar on it and it should come out easily enough. But if it's already set in, you can use an ammonia solution - if you can find it here - or lemon juice and salt. [ She could help with the sewing, too, if he really needs it, but she's been trained to suture wounds instead of patching up clothes. Though it can't really be that difficult if she knows the former, can it? ]

Well, for one things. These stains happened before my arrival here. I don't what you to think I've been out in the city brawling.

As for happening again...I can't say. We do have a war on the horizon after all.

I'm used to sewing for children, unfortunately, not so much adults. But I've managed to remove blood from clothing before.

The damage is mostly just small tears. But I don't know how different working on children's clothes must be from working on my uniform.

If the stains have set for too long, you're better off procuring something new than trying to save something that will remain marked.

Don't worry, Tony. It's not that uniform. [The uniform in question is his first one, from the war, recently swiped from a museum. Too bad, he had meant to return it after the fight.]

It's fine as far as I know. [And he doesn't say anymore about it because he's not looking forward to admitting that he dropped his shield into the Potomac River.]
