[See Road.
See Road eating a lollipop.
See Road eating a lollipop while perched on a churning washing machine.
See Road eating a lollipop while perched on a churning washing machine that is starting to very quickly overflow with frothy bubbles.
... most people would probably spend their first post blathering on about additional weird powers, or the lack thereof, or about how they may or may not have better things to do at home that they would rather be doing than whatever it is they are doing here.
Road is not most people.
And there are more important matters at hand, anyway. Such as:]
I want a new maid. Preferably one that isn't a stupid box.
[As well as:]

[Ladies and gentleman, Road Kamelot has entered the building.]
It's also advised that the residents of Hel should... probably watch their footing, lest they want to end up sprawling into the floor. But she isn't going to say that. Perhaps she'll get a show out of it.]
[[Residents of Hel, if you are passing by the laundry room and would like to nearly break your neck traversing soapy floors, or something, I am totally welcome to actionlogging!]]

He can feel his mind going numb from the crazy. HOW IS THIS REAL LIFE.—think of England, Allen.] She said you could borrow it.
So now you have to bring it to me.
[Video] 1/2
[Did he mention how much he really, really doesn't want to? Because how stupid is it, too, he knows full well what a complete scam it is.]
[Video] 2/2
But there's something quieter and thoughtful in how he lifts his chin a little for a moment. Cautious, but] You've got a bracelet just like everyone else...
[Something softer about how he says that, even though it's obvious he didn't just notice it.
Serious but a little (guardedly) gentle.] I have to say I'm a little surprised.
But...
As long as he still sounds a little (guardedly) gentle, the expression on her face does soften, at least a little.
Just look at those eyes, Allen.]
Allen is surprised?
But.
Just—a beat, giving her a bit of a level look. The sort that's a little schooled. What do you think?]
Your reputation precedes you.
Stupid Allen. Stupid boy.
But that hand isn't clenching into her skirts for long. She uses it to smooth them down, like trying to straighten herself out.]
Are you... worried, Allen~?
Not that he could see what she did with her hands, and not enough to know for certain, but... he's very, very good at cards for a number of reasons. And she tensed. And that sticks out as just wrong enough to him—just the right sort of wrong response. Perhaps largely because he was already thinking it if not wanting to dare it true, and presumes that quickly enough.
(It actually makes him catch his breath quietly for a second. Then she really (really, really) could be—just like the rest of them?)
Blinking past the surprise though; one eye silvery, the other (left)... well, a cloudy silver.]
Not particularly. [b l u n t
His tone is still quite civil, though. That soft-serious way.]
I'm sure you can take care of yourself.
[Video] 1/2
[Video]
Your eye is different.
[—no. He doesn't say anything in response to that for a moment. Just looks a little tense. Sorry, Road. He's not sure what your angle is and...
Well. It's a little uncomfortable, her talking about his eye. For reasons.]
I'm not blind.
[Headtilt.] It's changed?
(But she's sounded like that before.)]
Have your candles? [Soft-serious.]
Straightening a little too quickly.]
Has your hand?
—he actually cracks a bit of a dry smile at that.]
I was placed in Sigyn. [What do you think?
It's almost amicable.]
-- she taps her chin.]
They say that after Loki killed Baldur, the other gods and goddesses bound him to a rock and placed a poisonous serpent over his head, his wife, Sigyn, kept careful, careful watch over him. She held a bowl over his head and caught all of the poison that was supposed to fall and burn him.
That actually makes him blink a little. (That wasn't what he meant by Sigyn. At least he doesn't see how?) And well, he's rather managed to, ah... learn virtually nothing of Norse mythology while here. Or at least how it all ties together.
But he's not an idiot and learns of the world what he can or needs to in order to help people. It's really more for being rather simple. They aren't things he needs to know in his world. Because it's not important to him personally; the finer nuances of gods and politics.
It's kind of why he sucks at the Catholic part of being a Vatican soldier, too.]
... Somehow I'm not surprised. [Although it doesn't sound like he's talking about her story at all.
Figures that Road shows up and immediately knows more about the situation than he does.]
[She makes a sucking sound on her lollipop as she situates herself, gets a little more comfortable.]
And after his death, Odin sent Hermod to the goddess of death, Hel, to ask her to bring Baldur back to life. She said she would only do it if everyone in the world would weep for him. Loki then disguised himself as a giantess, and was the only one who would not weep.
So Hel kept Baldur allllll to herself ♥
