Alright. Here's the deal.
[Nick's looking a bit more serious today, probably because that whole illness thing shook him up, though he would be loath enough to admit it. Being so helpless and watching people die around him- really, it's not like he cared, but the fact that he couldn't be in control while what was clearly an attack on the city was quite the horrible feeling indeed.
[But enough about that. He's making this post for quite a different reason. He hasn't figured out this filter thing yet, so he has to do the next best thing.]
I'm going to do a little poll right now. You see, I realized that when I got here that I wasn't the only inhuman species roaming around the place. So, here's the thing I want you to do for me- if you're not human, respond to me and tell me what you are and what's the deal behind your species, because I'm curious. Maybe there's something similar out there to what I am, I don't know.
...That being said, if you're homo sapien, human, whatever you call yourselves nowadays...don't bother answering. I've had enough of your kind enough in my life, alright? Get lost.
No, really.
[ooc: Nick is just trying to do a poll of how many inhuman species there are in Asgard, but feel free to have your human character comment too! Just because Nick is a jerk doesn't mean that I don't want all the CR for him. Open to all! :Ib]

Hmmm. Odd, and yet you said that there was nothing physically different between them two...unless the children don't survive birth. Which, in that case, would have something to do with the genetics...

You see, people have this common code in their cells called "DNA" It makes us look and eat and sleep the way we do, among other things. Most of the time, when two species mate with each other, the code that is produced from the code of the two parents of the newborn child is faulty, and therefore the child doesn't survive or has defects present within it that make life for it very hard, indeed.
Like, I can't mate with human beings. Our reproductive system is way different, but even if we found a way to get around that, god knows what sort of monstrosities would result from that.

[Ah, now she remembers.]
Someone tried explaining something like that to me. It didn't make any sense.
[A frustrated sigh.]
Remind me never to try to explain anything remotely scientific to you again.
And ask around if it doesn't make any sense. I'm sure somebody will get it through that noggin of yours.

And yet I've tried to explain it to you twice, at least, and you haven't understood a word.
Really, get yourself to the library, they have tons of simple books on that stuff.

But now explain how it works. For instance, how do chloroplasts factor into the whole system? What chemical factors play a role in converting sunlight into food for the plant? And what form does the "food" come in?
Those are all scientific concepts. If you understand those, then I guess you don't have such a dumb as doorknob mind in your head, after all.
[Audio]
Gee, you're so nice.
Not going to think you're not stupid until you go and find me the answer. Clock's ticking.
[Audio]
Their food is sugar!
You still haven't answered the other two.

[He's just having his fun, Euri. DON'T TAKE HIM SO SERIOUSLY.]
If you can't answer that, answer my last question. Chemical factors. List them out for me, chop chop.
[Audio]
........ I don't get that question.
Go get yourself to the library and read up on it. Maybe if you can give me a nice summary of what you've learned, maybe you can still redeem your low intelligence in my eyes. Maybe.

Have fun!
