Alright. Here's the deal.

[Nick's looking a bit more serious today, probably because that whole illness thing shook him up, though he would be loath enough to admit it. Being so helpless and watching people die around him- really, it's not like he cared, but the fact that he couldn't be in control while what was clearly an attack on the city was quite the horrible feeling indeed.

[But enough about that. He's making this post for quite a different reason. He hasn't figured out this filter thing yet, so he has to do the next best thing.]

I'm going to do a little poll right now. You see, I realized that when I got here that I wasn't the only inhuman species roaming around the place. So, here's the thing I want you to do for me- if you're not human, respond to me and tell me what you are and what's the deal behind your species, because I'm curious. Maybe there's something similar out there to what I am, I don't know.

...That being said, if you're homo sapien, human, whatever you call yourselves nowadays...don't bother answering. I've had enough of your kind enough in my life, alright? Get lost.

Hey, when you have a race that uses you, ruins your life, and then proceeds to act like nothing is wrong, I don't think the reaction towards them should be "yeah, they're okay".

That's their scientific name. Homo sapien. It's the official title of the entire species.

Is it that difficult a claim to believe? [ they're not; he's aware of that, but for as much as the term matters, the definition, in comparison to much of the universe: yes. or at least, as far as he's concerned. ] The universe is full of creatures, great and small. Surely gods aren't that much of a stretch to comprehend.

Well, if you have magic in your world, I'm not too surprised they don't have scientists over there...

Because is magic really that great a difference? I mean, a human can do magic, big whoop. What really sets you apart from them? Like, if your magic was taken away forever, what makes you stand out in a human crowd? What makes you so different that you see yourselves as another species?

Really? Geez, how many Asgards are there?

Honestly, it is, but I guess I'm so used to how my world defines a "god" that I find it hard to believe the beings naming themselves as such her truly live up to that omnipresent, omniscient, and all-powerful being that so many people put faith in back home. I guess "gods" are just another name for a powerful sort of species, aren't they?

We have scholars. Isn't that the same thing?

If that happened to a Witch she'd die, because it's an inherent part of us. Humans don't work that way.

Not at all, unless scholars can classify the animals of your world by genus and species and explain how the velocity of light works in detail without resorting to explanations like "it just happens".

They have to use runes or formulas if they want to use it. A Witch can just think it if she really wants to.

..Yeah, you know what? Ask somebody who can put it into really simple terms. Basically, science has nothing to do at all with magic. Just keep that in mind.

And you pass this down through family? Like, what if a Witch decides to hook up with a human, would the child be able to use magic or would it not?

Never as in "it's culturally not allowed to", or never as in "it's physically impossible for them to have one in the first place"?
