[ sup Asgard, here's an oracle looking particularly pleased, and it's because she's ..particularly pleased with herself. or maybe just in general. it's hard to tell. but she's sitting on the floor of a bedroom ( hers? probably. but who knows. ), her bracelet being held up for a moment when the feed first clicks on before it's put on the floor in front of her. then she's kind of stretching but kind of not, leaning forward a little, pretty much just to avoid the most unflattering camera angle in the world. but she's too jittery to actually hold the camera up, so- right. anyway. ]

So I've been thinking. [ there's a pause, like she's imagining someone going 'uh oh' ] And I think what this city really, really needs is an art club. Or an art- something. Club sounds too much like high school. And that's not what I'm thinking of. Not really a class, but just a time and place where people can get together and make- stuff. Make art. There's a really great space in the Freyr district that's open to the public to use, and I've been going there just to draw and paint on my own, but I just keep thinking that it might be really cool if there was a whole group of us. And I already know there's a few people here who like art as much as I do, so I figured I'd bring it up. Because why not.

We don't even have to work on any projects together, specifically, but sometimes it's kind of nice surrounding yourself with people just creating things, right?

[ there's a pause, and she sighs a little sigh ] I know that there are a lot of really scary things going on, and I've found myself more caught up in them than I ever thought I would be. But our purpose here isn't just about fighting and sweating and bleeding to try and save the worlds, right? It's about bringing the color back.

And... Isn't that what art is for?

[ oo, so insightful, she might have practiced that one. then she's grinning again, a little mischievous ]

So... Let me know if you want in, okay? Oh, and if anybody wants a live model to paint, I've got just the man for the job. [ she's looking up past the camera now, reaching to shut it off as she does. ] Hey, Stiles-!

No, no, when you own something- [ OWN. OH GODS THAT'S not something she would normally say and she almost feels guilty enough to not finish the joke. but. not quite. her expression is so confident, too. ] -that's unique and valuable and, a limited edition, as you say, what do people generally do with said something?

Mhm, pretty much. It's- a tangible form of expression. Sometimes. If you're feeling something, and create something as a result of it, that's art. Or if you just feel like crushing two soda cans together, or drawing a flower on a napkin, that's art too.

[Well..he did have the opportunity to join Art Club back in school, but decided on Photography instead. (Because his art skills suck.) But, new opportunity to live sure gives you a drive to do something different.]

Yeah? I'm glad you think so. I wasn't anticipating it to be a power-related thing, but I just met someone else with Drawing Life, and there's at least one other person besides me and you that have it, so maybe we can use it to practice sometimes. Even if it's separate from the art club thing I'm trying to get together here.

Although now I'm starting to realize I should have asked people if they have supplies, or need them. Maybe the paint shop can help us out a bit for our first get-together, or maybe put together a sort of starter kit people can buy.

The theatre in Freyr. Most people use it to practice music, but I'm sure we can commandeer one of the bigger practice rooms for an art session. I used to sit outside by the outdoor theatre a lot, before it got so cold.

That's a pretty great idea. I mean, there's probably a lot of us that don't have drawing life that still likes to be artsy fartsy.

So what happens if something we draw accidentally comes to life and it's probably something that should have stayed as a drawing? Just thought I'd put that out there. I like to think we're all smart individuals, but that's like assuming that some of us aren't kind of little shits.

I think it would take some serious effort to 'accidentally' pull something off the page.

Which makes it ..not an accident, so.

Maybe I'll preface the session with a "please draw responsibly, just in case".
