[ The backdrop is only the wall of her room in House Hel and in place of a missing crown her hair is braided back from her face. ]

I am Daenerys Stormborn, of House Targaryen. I traveled with many of you to the front at Alfheim, though this world remembers my face from a time now lost to me. If we once had dealings in the past I would speak with you of them.

[ Better than bumping into each and every person one at a time, as she's been doing for over a week now. A beat, and she continues. ]

Among you are men and women that claim the Seven Kingdoms their home, to whom my family name and titles are more familiar. Whether you hail from Westeros or the Free Cities and beyond - I make only two simple requests. [ Many of them have already come forward, but there is at least one false name that doesn't match up and one Kingslayer that hasn't shown his face. ] To friends, I ask that you tell me of your time in Asgard. [ Her back and shoulders remain straight, her gaze hardening just a fraction. ] To all others, [ oathbreakers and pretenders alike ] convince me that our cause in this world is truly a common one.

[ And that no blood needs to be spilled on these foreign streets. Their feuds can resume back home where they can be settled and not forgotten.

[Her expression tells Sonya that she doesn't entirely get it, but then some things are easier shown rather than explained.]

I've got no real plans for the rest of the day except grading and composing lesson plans. If you'd come over to the Citadel, I can give you a demonstration and a short lesson.

[ Daenerys bites her lip. Going off alone with someone she only just met, especially if that someone is asking her to meet them in a place that admittedly is for weapon's practice, is not exactly a smart idea. But Sonya has been useful (and kind), she doesn't need to push her away. ]

Another day would be best. I may be here for some time. [ Answering all of this. ]

We could very well all be here for some time. One could argue-do you have anything more pressing to do? [Her expression's serious even if her manner's a little joking.] I remember the 'former' you being insistant on learning how do defend yourself.

[She pauses, considering a moment.] Give me a second.

[Sonya signs off for a moment, when she comes back, it's for a private video between her and Daenerys.]

I'll be frank, Daenerys. In this place it would especially be prudent to learn a form of weaponry. It doesn't have to be a pistol, it could be throwing knives-hell, a sword even-but this place isn't always safe and...well, from what I've been reading, not everyone you know here is an ally.

You would be right. [ About allies. There's a chill to her tone. ] But I am not completely without defense, Sonya. [ What does she have again? The pitmaster's whip, a power she does not understand (nor truly cares to just yet), Jorah Mormont's sword and all the weight attached to it, Viserys. These are things best left unsaid to someone she only has just met. ] I will take you up on your offer. But not today. [ Her answer is firm. If the woman presses the manner, she will be forced to believe there is some other motive to it. ]

I'm well armed myself, but I was taught to always adapt and learn when I could. Still, it's up to you in the end. [Forcing her would only be counter productive.]

Defense aside, how've you been adjusting?

[ It's for the best. She bites back a sigh. ]

Well enough. Alfheim has... quickened things. [ It may not have been a bad thing that she arrived when she did, being able to see the danger for herself. ]

[Sonya could only give a stiff nod. Alfheim would be enough to give anyone a kick on how serious this place is.

[Not to mention the dying part-Sonya's not sure how she feels about that.]
