i. ♛ video ( 394 )
[ The backdrop is only the wall of her room in House Hel and in place of a missing crown her hair is braided back from her face. ]
I am Daenerys Stormborn, of House Targaryen. I traveled with many of you to the front at Alfheim, though this world remembers my face from a time now lost to me. If we once had dealings in the past I would speak with you of them.
[ Better than bumping into each and every person one at a time, as she's been doing for over a week now. A beat, and she continues. ]
Among you are men and women that claim the Seven Kingdoms their home, to whom my family name and titles are more familiar. Whether you hail from Westeros or the Free Cities and beyond - I make only two simple requests. [ Many of them have already come forward, but there is at least one false name that doesn't match up and one Kingslayer that hasn't shown his face. ] To friends, I ask that you tell me of your time in Asgard. [ Her back and shoulders remain straight, her gaze hardening just a fraction. ] To all others, [ oathbreakers and pretenders alike ] convince me that our cause in this world is truly a common one.
[ And that no blood needs to be spilled on these foreign streets. Their feuds can resume back home where they can be settled and not forgotten.
Or just stay out of her way. Khaleesi out. ]

But we have little choice in it. And so we fight, with the gifts we have been given, for a chance to go home.
Or to simply survive.
[Loras, well. Sometimes it is a struggle for him, here. A mix of emotions, with no true allies from home. Targaryen, Tyrell--the Houses were once close. But with his sister on the throne, now, Daenerys was a direct threat to his sister.
A sister who was not here. And he did not believe that she was as mad as other Targs.
Yet. So speaking in peace, is welcome.]

[ Not that she trusts him any more than before, but she has to start somewhere.
She quickly sends another message, this one made private; ]
I have seen Stiles Stilinski's creature. More kitten than dragon, the flame it breathes barely comparable to the same gift given to Travelers. [ She wrinkles her nose. If Loras wants to continue bickering with the boy, that's up to him, but the dragon is no threat to the city in her eyes. ]
Private
[Loras is a vain creature, so that is a horrible thought; but more pointedly, he had a premonition that he would be burned by boiling oil, soon enough. So the threat, however petty, still cut close.]
I understand many people come from worlds of ease, compared to our own, but their ignorance is sometimes insulting.

I would not disagree - but as he tells it, you were the one to start with threats. [ A frown. ] Whatever the truth, all I see are two soldiers fresh from the battlefront with quickened tempers. [ Or two highstrung boys in some kind of pissing match. ] We could all stand for a little more understanding.
[ Remind her of this when she's done with the Usurper's son and the Kingslayer. ]

[Really, that's insulting to Loras, to be lumped in with that boy.]
Oh? I do not mean to be rude, my Lady, but that is strange words, coming from a family motto of fire and blood.
[He truly isn't trying to be an ass. Just pointing out that he doubts she would feel the same, in his situation.[

All traces soon dissipate from her face though, replaced with a more serious look - back to the original topic. ] This is not our home. You must realize that I still mean to claim my birthright when we return, but first I must make sure there is a throne left to claim.
[ Placing her somewhere toward the camp of believing this war is a viable threat to their own home. ]

[Poison, of course. But, well.
The Tyrells owed a great deal to Dany's family. And while things had changed, he is not trying to start a feud, now. They have other people they both hate.]
So you believe them, then.
I have been here long enough to find them all liars.

I believe that the consequences of being wrong outweigh my current misgivings. [ And no one has been able to give her solid proof one way or another. ] Do you have proof that everything they say about their Ragnarok and our worlds is false? [ She would genuinely like to know. ]
no subject
The world spins on, regardless what happens here.
And they have yet to give us any proof that what they say is true.

Why should we have to die for them? What do they do? Nothing. Nothing but petty games.

[ Even Jorah and the Kingslayer took part on their own, whatever that means. ]

I go where I am needed, where there are innocents that need protecting.
