I am Daenerys Stormborn, of House Targaryen. I traveled with many of you to the front at Alfheim, though this world remembers my face from a time now lost to me. If we once had dealings in the past I would speak with you of them.

[ Better than bumping into each and every person one at a time, as she's been doing for over a week now. A beat, and she continues. ]

Among you are men and women that claim the Seven Kingdoms their home, to whom my family name and titles are more familiar. Whether you hail from Westeros or the Free Cities and beyond - I make only two simple requests. [ Many of them have already come forward, but there is at least one false name that doesn't match up and one Kingslayer that hasn't shown his face. ] To friends, I ask that you tell me of your time in Asgard. [ Her back and shoulders remain straight, her gaze hardening just a fraction. ] To all others, [ oathbreakers and pretenders alike ] convince me that our cause in this world is truly a common one.

[ And that no blood needs to be spilled on these foreign streets. Their feuds can resume back home where they can be settled and not forgotten.

If you hadn't decided at the time if you'd fight the war or not, why did you go?

We are all here against our will, and we would all suffer for it had Alfheim fallen. [ Had they taken in the evacuating elves instead of fighting, there was no sure guarantee that Asgard could support an inflated population. It's not so different from what she had dealt with before. ] No matter my misgivings toward the gods, that was not what I wanted.

And if the Giants attack and destroy Asgard, so we will again. In the end, does that mean you will fight?

So long as there is still breath in me, I will fight for my people. [ And maybe a bit after. ] And you, Kaworu Nagisa? What do you fight for?

Why your people? Why are they so important?

I fight for the people I love. In hopes to keep them safe.

[exiling]

[ What a strange question. ]

They look to me for strength. They depend on my decisions. [ For better or for worse. ] Just like you, I hope to keep them safe.

Because you are their queen. Is it important to you, that role?

[exiling]

It is. [ Even if the rest of the answer has become complicated. She tilts her head, part curious part defensive. ]

Do you find that strange? [ He asks a lot of questions, and from spying on certain other public conversations she's seen that not every world has need of kings and queens. ]

There were no kings in my world. There were rulers, but they were chosen by the people.

There are lands in my own world where that is the law. [ Volantis being one of them, not one of her favorite places right now. ] But it has never been that way in Westeros.

Do you disagree with such way?

[ Another pause. ] It is not wrong, no. [ The council she had made in Astapor should have served a similar purpose, in her mind. Her expression darkens a bit. ] Though it is no more immune to corruption than the rest.

[ Or just men with sharper swords. ]

No one truly is. Lilin live for their wantings and their desires. Some may be for others, but not all.

[exiling]

[ She raises an eyebrow. ] Lilin?

[5thchild]

Everyone capable of growth, development and building civilizations. Humans are part of lilin.

And all humans, or lilin, are equal in your world?

[5thchild]

It's not about "being" equal or not. It's about seeing others as equal or not.

[exiling]

[ She fooled herself once before about this, she believes she knows better now. ] In their hearts all men believe themselves above certain others, if not all others.

[5thchild]

Because they see themselves as something important, they cling to this importance to a point of believing it's true. And some believe this also because they have been told.

However, there are many who have been told for long they are not and thus they believe it. There are many who believe their existence doesn't matter. And there are many who believe their life is worthless.

In the end, it's up to each to see their own worth and see the other people's worth.

I suppose the many worlds are not so different after all. [ It's all she can say. This cuts a bit too deep for her right now. ]
