Well. Since we're back, and well done everyone, and we're all engaged in new projects, I would like to announce on of my own and... [He smiles affectionately.] Romana's... A radio station. 

You may have noticed it in Freyr and it seemed such a shame to let it go fallow, so we fixed it up and, with the generous assistance of our native friends, left a few absolutely free radios in the Welcome Halls of the various gods and some for sale in the electrical shops all across the city, if you should decide to get one of your own!

A radio station is no two man job, however, and as such, I would like to invite you to contribute. I want this to be a real community project. Anything that can fill airtime, be it gossip or music or whatever, I shall be delighted to hear your ideas.

Er, sorry if this is a dumb question, but what's a radio exactly?

It functions much like the audio function on these devices but only one way. From the radio station to the radio.

It's a receiver that relays programmes, be it stories, musical pieces, or whatever. It can inform and entertain, depending on what's being broadcast.

But at certain times, certain songs appeal to certain people. And if they should complain, well, I shall offer them the opportunity to add their music to the mix.

Yes.

Sort of a one way audio. The radio station transmits… whatever it is that will be broadcast and the radio picks it up and you can hear it.

What exactly does a radio station do? You mentioned something about music.

It broadcasts music, conversation, anything at all you'd like to transmit audibly. It's basically a one way version of the audio function on the bracelets.

I hope you mean to have a rather thorough investigation of what contributions are offered. [Because he has a feeling that such an open venue could be taken advantage of. And he's not just pessimistic thinking as such.]

Aside from that, do you mean to involve the natives in some way?

They're not especially interested, I'm afraid. [He actually sounds a bit disappointed.]

What a wonderful project! [Merope's eyes are gleaming with excitement.] Do you think you're going to be able to play music? Are there recordings from our worlds, or does Asgard have music of its own? I miss listening to music on the radio, it was lovely.

[Have a River smiling at you brightly. This is such a lovely idea. She is not yet sure how much actual news there'll be to announce every day, but lighting this place up with some music is certainly something a lot of people will be enjoying.]
