Well. Since we're back, and well done everyone, and we're all engaged in new projects, I would like to announce on of my own and... [He smiles affectionately.] Romana's... A radio station. 

You may have noticed it in Freyr and it seemed such a shame to let it go fallow, so we fixed it up and, with the generous assistance of our native friends, left a few absolutely free radios in the Welcome Halls of the various gods and some for sale in the electrical shops all across the city, if you should decide to get one of your own!

A radio station is no two man job, however, and as such, I would like to invite you to contribute. I want this to be a real community project. Anything that can fill airtime, be it gossip or music or whatever, I shall be delighted to hear your ideas.

My approach was excellent. They decided it should be a Traveller-run work.

There's a difference between it being Traveller-run and ... well, a radio show with occasional guest interviews.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say, Sherlock. I don't need convincing of anything. I do know that.

You're implying that the natives wish not to be involved in our affairs at all.

I'm not. I'm saying that they don't want to be involved with the radio station. Directly, at any rate. They did help provide the equipment. And the finances, for that matter.

You're implying that their decision means they're not interested or, actually, you're implying I'm shutting them out for some reason. I deny that. I have no reason to. Why would I? They're, by turns, generous and grateful. No reason on my end that I should seek to exclude them.

They've certainly the means to contribute, should they wish to.

I simply find it weird that we do not work more closely with them. But that is no fault of your own.

Indeed. But we are guests uninvited by them, even though we're useful. I suppose they feel awkward.
