[The video comes on, and Finnick is reclining back on the couch, feet on the coffee table with a large bowl filled with sugar cubes in his lap. His finger fiddle with one of the cubes, rolling it back and forth between his thumb and pointer finger. A small grin spreads on his lips.]

I'm not that easy to get rid of. Did you think I was gone forever?

[He gives a cheeky little smile as he winks at the camera, popping a sugar cube into his mouth with a small crunch.]

So I guess there are lots of new people since I've been away, maybe someone would like to teach me how to cook? Can't let the girls do it all the time after all.

[He holds up a sugar cube, and closes one eye as if appraising the sugar cube before he tosses it in his mouth.]

So who is still here, and who went home? Anything interesting? Let me know. I'm always up for making new friends and trading information.

[He grins, and pops another sugar cube into his mouth.]

Wait, so that means you want to be here?

[There's a short pause before he throws his hands up.]

Uh, not that there's anything wrong with that! I just didn't know that people liked it this much, and, er, I mean.... [Well.] Never mind.

Oh, yeah I like being here.

[He smiles, no hard feelings little guy.]

It's better than my world, and it gives me and the others a chance at a real life. Even with all the fighting its worth it.

[ Katniss comes in and sits next to him, silent for a long time. Sometimes they're good at communicating without words. She reaches over and takes a sugar cube from his bowl, popping it into her mouth. That should be more than enough to say that she missed him and is glad to have him back, because she'd never muster the courage to say it herself. Survival was one thing. Emotions were another. ]

I was starting to wonder.

[Ah there is his buddy! He leans over half on her side as he nudges her with a small grin. He doesn't have to say anything, already delighted she had a sugar cube. He picks up another himself and pops it into his mouth. He gives a soft hmmm and turns to look at her bumping his shoulder to hers. Non-verbal communication, something he was good at when he wanted to be, well at least with those that he knew would understand it.]

Were you worried?

You seem a lot happier than the last time I talked to you. [ Don't mind her if she's a little suspicious; her boyfriend was cursed and turned into a kid, so the possibility of Finnick being cursed is one she's not ruling out. ] Where did you go?

Well, that's because I had plenty of time to think. Not that I remember anything since I was a little grey.

If you find anybody giving out cooking lessons, share. Burnt pancakes are getting really old.

Burnt pancakes? Really? I can even do a little better than that, even if its not by much.

[He burns 2 out of five things he attempts to cook.]

As long as you don't mind Rue also learning with us I'm sure I'll find someone sooner or later.

It's not that hard to cook at least the basics. [Though, his mood is a little infectious and Gale may be a bit amused.]

Well I can cook very few things. Most of those are limited to fish, shrimp, and things that live in water. I don't think shrimp or fish go well in pancakes.

[ this is Morgana's version to hi and how do you do, forgive her, she changed some since you've been gone. ]

I have been grey for a bit, but that's not really important. But, it's been a while besides that since I've talked to you Morgana. How are you?

How are you so calm eating that much sugar? When my best friend eats sugar he gets really hyper. [ More hyper than usual. ]

Probably because I'm used to having that much sugar.

[He smiled. Maybe that's what kept him so happy.]

I am afraid to ask just how hyper your best friend is, Scott.

Hey Uther, how are you? I've been grey for a while, but now I'm back. Is everything okay?

[ He's already seen that Morgana's spoken with Finnick, and with the filter gone up, there's no saying what she's told him. He'd swear, perhaps, in another time - but as it is, Arthur only effects a tired smile, small but true, for his friend returned. ]

How am I not surprised to find you already at the sugar?

[He holds up a sugar cube and grins. If Morgana told him anything he doesn't look the least bit worried.]

Want some? Katniss even had some earlier with me.

[ remember her finnick? remember the last time you two spoke and she was blue? welp ]

I could probably show you how to cook a few things if you want. I'm not all that great, but I'm not really terrible either.

Well, I was out of it for a bit, then I turned grey. But, I just got back to being normal.

[He smiles and just watches her for a second, because her looks are so similar to Katniss sometimes it takes him by surprise.]

[ a new face, it seems. though that doesn't really say much. to be quite honest, they're all still mostly new faces to jaime.

but this one? this one isn't exactly impressive and jaime isn't sure what compels him to speak up at all yet here he is none the less ]

I suppose I can easily guess what your purpose in this city happens to be.
