Twelfth Catch -Video-

[The video comes on, and Finnick is reclining back on the couch, feet on the coffee table with a large bowl filled with sugar cubes in his lap. His finger fiddle with one of the cubes, rolling it back and forth between his thumb and pointer finger. A small grin spreads on his lips.]

I'm not that easy to get rid of. Did you think I was gone forever?

[He gives a cheeky little smile as he winks at the camera, popping a sugar cube into his mouth with a small crunch.]

So I guess there are lots of new people since I've been away, maybe someone would like to teach me how to cook? Can't let the girls do it all the time after all.

[He holds up a sugar cube, and closes one eye as if appraising the sugar cube before he tosses it in his mouth.]

So who is still here, and who went home? Anything interesting? Let me know. I'm always up for making new friends and trading information.

Nah I think I'll stick with you for now. Besides I haven't been able to talk to you in a while anyway.

[ She shakes her head a little this time, though she still looks faintly amused. ] Lucky me. [ Even though she sounds sarcastic, Allison is glad to talk to him again. ]

Very lucky you.

[He chuckles and leans back a little more as he tips his head to the side.]

I still think it'd be fun to have a double date with you and Scott. Let me know when you guys are available, okay?

Definitely. I'm done at the Citadel in the afternoons, so it's just a matter of figuring out when Scott can tear himself away from the pet store, but we'll keep you updated.

That sounds good. We should all just have a large dinner sometime at our house for everyone to relax.

After all the more the merrier, right?

[ She smiles and nods. ] That sounds great. Do you want us to bring anything?

Hmm. I don't know, I'd have to ask Gale and the girls. Oh! I told you that we ended up getting another person from our world, right?

I don't think so, no. [ She pauses for a moment before adding, ] I'm actually not sure I've ever known how many people from your world were here, except you and Annie.

[He purses his lips for a moment and then smiles.]

Well she is my wife. But, we have others too. There's Katniss and Rue as well, and then Peeta was here but he's gone now. Gale just arrived not to long ago.

Oh, I didn't know Rue was from your world! [ She doesn't know any of the others, but Peeta rings a bell; she talked to Rue about him. Sort of. It was more about pita bread, but. ] That's really cool, that you have so many people.

Yes, she's one of the ones I live with. Having a lot of people who work together well is nice.

Yeah, I bet. Scott wanted to try to get everyone from our world living in the same place but there are a couple people who... Let's just say they don't work well together.

It's not easy for us, but we do it because its easier for us to be able to comfort each other.

I'm glad it works for you. I don't even think they'd care enough to even try it.

It's easier to watch each other if we're together. We can help each other out if things get to be too much.

Which is more often than not here, I'm guessing.

Not at all. This place compared to our home is easy! At the worst someone ends up waking up from nightmares. But, I've been talking with people about making sleeping aides.

[ Her brow furrows a little. ] I don't want to imagine what your world might be like, if that's the case.

It's pretty bad there. Right now we are in a battle to be able to exist outside of a system that has been in place for seventy five years.

...I'm guessing it's a really controlling system if it's taken that long for someone to fight back.

That's a little bit of an understatement.

I'm sorry. That really sucks.

The important thing is I'm here with some of the people I care about. That's all that matters now.
