Twelfth Catch -Video-
[The video comes on, and Finnick is reclining back on the couch, feet on the coffee table with a large bowl filled with sugar cubes in his lap. His finger fiddle with one of the cubes, rolling it back and forth between his thumb and pointer finger. A small grin spreads on his lips.]
I'm not that easy to get rid of. Did you think I was gone forever?
[He gives a cheeky little smile as he winks at the camera, popping a sugar cube into his mouth with a small crunch.]
So I guess there are lots of new people since I've been away, maybe someone would like to teach me how to cook? Can't let the girls do it all the time after all.
[He holds up a sugar cube, and closes one eye as if appraising the sugar cube before he tosses it in his mouth.]
So who is still here, and who went home? Anything interesting? Let me know. I'm always up for making new friends and trading information.

The districts are sectioned off into twelve districts in this order:
District 1 is luxury, District 2 is masonry, District 3 is technology, District 4 is fishing, District 5 is power, District 6 is transportation, District 7 is lumber, District 8 is textiles, District 9 is grain, District 10 is livestock, District 11 is agriculture, and District 12 is mining.
[He he pauses for a while and then chuckles as he continues.]
The districts here are a lot nicer. They are different yes, but at least people have adequate food, shelter and housing here. They don't have to work as hard and the gods provide them with the things they need. The person that makes sure that the districts do their work in Panem is the president of the capitol. The capitol is a rich city of entitled people who don't have to do the labor the people in the districts do.
The one who holds this system together is a man named President Snow. He's the worst sort of man you'll ever meet. I only hope he never shows up here. He's the one that keeps the districts "in line" so to speak. If you don't do your bit, then you don't get the little grain you do get.
But, it's hardly enough to feed a family. It's almost not enough for one person. There is a way to get more grain though, but that way almost always leads to your death. Unless you're lucky of course.

[ But then, suddenly she goes quiet, a terrible, long silence. Because the woman who was speaking was the woman of Asgard, not of Camelot. Sometimes, at certain moments, it's easy for her to forget. But suddenly, she does remember. She remembers one terrible memory of another ruler who killed innocent people to prove a point and that person is not Uther Pendragon, rather it's the girl who wouldn't admit to be his daughter.
Suddenly, she feels sick.
These matters wouldn't trouble her at Camelot, not there. For there she knows, truly knows that sometimes one has to make a sacrifice if one wishes to rule and she has tries to minimize it, surely.
There she feels no guilt.
But here, here it's different. How can she say this of the man called Snow, of anyone, when some people would say this about her and -
she breathes out, it comes out broken. ]
I -
[ she doesn't know what to say. The Queen of Camelot urges her not to think of it, not to think at all and the Lady of Asgard pleads her otherwise and it's all too much. ]
I must - I would hear of it at an another time.
[ and with that, she ends it. ]

[At least to Finnick it was. That's because that was his home.]
We were lucky to be by the sea, and we learned how to swim at a young age. The kids got a little more education on CPR and other medical techniques since there are dangerous things that live in the sea. But, not much could scare us away. The water was beautiful and clear, and every day we'd watch the sun rise.
It's actually where I met Annie after the hunger games.
My mother had taught me how to swim, but she told me that I had been swimming long before I was born. She used to go on swims and come back in hours later when I was inside her. My father was a fisherman, and a good man from what she told me. I never met him myself, but that's what she says.

I grew up by the sea. Before my father died.
[ her true father, if not by blood than by everything else. ]
Before Uther betrayed him. He used to take me to the seaside to play. And I thought - I thought it must have been the most beautiful place I've ever seen, Camelot could never compare.
[ and suddenly she remembers Arthur, something she preferred to forget. Arthur coming back to their home here in the city after defending her to his father, her and her magic. Arthur who told her that if Uther would try and harm her he will take her to the seaside as she wanted. Them and Merlin, a place of freedom.
It hurts. much worse than any injury she had suffered, worse than the poison Merlin had given her, her love for her brother, enemy, friend. ]

This must be painful to talk about Morgana, I'm sorry I brought up such painful things.
[It's probably the first time anyone besides Katniss and Annie have heard him this way. It's more like the post where he had lost Annie and had accidentally hurt himself and worried everyone. It's just a soft tightness there of something that he himself was grappling with.]

[ and then to take his throne from him. ]

I think I've probably suffered the least out of everyone.
[That's debatable since he was a victor, but at least he had Annie to help shoulder the wounds and frailness he sometimes displayed.]

[ her childhood is something only so few people know of and from them all she only trusts Arthur. ]

[There is that bounce back in his voice and a crunch on the other side. Someone is having himself a sugar cube.]
If you need to talk to someone, you can always talk to me. I promise it'll stay between us. Okay?

[ a long silence. Perhaps she ended the feed? But then. ]
Thank you.

Good. Or else I'll have to remind you all the time, won't I?
