Better late than never, I'd say.

[ Charles has been trying to adjust to life in Asgard. He was pulled out of his world, at the worst possible time only to arrive to the fact - he was void of his telepathy. Adjusting is a work in progress. But he's treating this thing like it was a presentation or a lecture, so he's doing his best to look adequate. Like it's not getting to him. The smile he passes is an easy one. ]

I suppose, it's common courtesy to introduce oneself over the network. My name is Charles Xavier. Before arriving in Asgard, I was a professor of Genetics. I had written a thesis on genetic advancements, mutations. People with gifts. Gifts that were very much so similar to the 'powers' bestowed to us by these gods. Gifts with untapped potential to be the catalyst for a better world.

In Asgard, we are a put at a point - where everyone is put on equal footing. Everyone is in possession of these gifts and we're capable of having peaceful cohabitation. But it does beg the question, before Asgard - was anyone in possession of gifts?

I think we've met before, but since you're introducing yourself, I'm going to guess you're either another world's Charles Xavier, or you don't have any memories. Either way, welcome to this crap fest of a warzone. Name's Samantha.

As for 'gifts,' I wouldn't use that word, but no. I'm not entirely human. [Forehead dips to show the horns more clearly.]

That all depends on how you define gifts.

[ She'll skip the 'you're back' for now-- others seem to have that covered, and Jade never really knew him that well the first time he was here, anyway. But she does smile wide, fluffy white dog ears perked. ]

Are you wanting to do research on people who had them? [ It would make sense, considering what he says he was back home. ] Or are you just curious?

What I was back home had nothing to do with genetics.

[It comes as a sort of surprise, really. Erik hasn't spent much, if any, time on the network since Raven's return. There hasn't really been a need - he's had Rav- no. Mystique. And he doesn't really have much of a connection to the rest of the city. The Gods, their war, it does not concern him in the least.

One way or another, he does find himself checking. Looking. And what he finds is...surprising would definitely work. Surprising, and a little something else.

It takes him a few moments to respond, checking over everyone else's comments, trying to gauge the level at which Charles remembers, or knows. Which is very little, he finds out. And with that, Erik takes a bit more time to decide how to approach the matter. The last time he and Charles tried to...explain themselves, it did not end well.

Maybe...things could be different.]

[ Raven checks the network almost daily, yet she's been skimming over most people's entries as of late, finding nothing truly interesting. Sure, there's the occasional one here and there, but nothing that really stands out.

And today is no different. She's just about to switch off the bracelet when she stops and goes back a few posts because she could have swore she saw-- Wait ]

Charles? [ She leans closer to the feed, trying to get a better look at him ] Charles, what are you doing here? When did you get here?

You were a professor of genetics? How did you study that?

[ She's a clever girl, but likes to hear the answers to things anyway. ]

I was never given abilities, but I did get to visit many magical places. Does that count? Anyway, it is nice to see so many wonderful people here, even if it isn't the nicest place. Oh. Well, I've been rude. I'm Lucy, Lucy Pevensie!

Welcome to Asgard, Xavier-san. The name's Kotetsu. [ He salutes and bows his head politely, smiling a little.
Kotetsu especially finds it intriguing that this fellow has described a world somewhat similar to his own. ]

Your world sounds much the same as mine. Where I come from, there are people all over the world -- most of them in Sternbild City -- who have their own powers or "gifts". We call them NEXT.

My partner and I are both NEXT, and the power I had before Asgard was very different from this one.

I'm not so sure the baseline is as measurable as that, Professor. I assume that you don't know, but there are those here who claim to have been non-human entirely, but normal for their kind-- that is, working off a different baseline.

Mutations? That's... another word for it. [ Not a word she's used or had heard before. Because... magic ]
