Better late than never, I'd say.

[ Charles has been trying to adjust to life in Asgard. He was pulled out of his world, at the worst possible time only to arrive to the fact - he was void of his telepathy. Adjusting is a work in progress. But he's treating this thing like it was a presentation or a lecture, so he's doing his best to look adequate. Like it's not getting to him. The smile he passes is an easy one. ]

I suppose, it's common courtesy to introduce oneself over the network. My name is Charles Xavier. Before arriving in Asgard, I was a professor of Genetics. I had written a thesis on genetic advancements, mutations. People with gifts. Gifts that were very much so similar to the 'powers' bestowed to us by these gods. Gifts with untapped potential to be the catalyst for a better world.

In Asgard, we are a put at a point - where everyone is put on equal footing. Everyone is in possession of these gifts and we're capable of having peaceful cohabitation. But it does beg the question, before Asgard - was anyone in possession of gifts?

Magic. You know, that's what everyone else is saying. [ And what she is too. Just trying to keep it secretive. Ish ]

[ he's not as great at keeping secrets. ]

Everyone else? What do you mean? It seems there are quite a number of people from Asgard who are familiar with magic.

[ She's not been doing so great either. Vague is hard when people talk about it so openly ]

Everyone here. I've heard magic mentioned a lot. Not the native people, though, they don't really say much.

[ Charles is definitely not sure on how much of his former life he's willing to divulge. ]

Ah, yes. So it seems. It's definitely been brought up a number of times. Was it common in your world?

[whitelighting]

[ Not even an 'I'll show you mine if you show me yours'? ]

It was... around. Sometimes, anyway. [ Okay, for some people, just like mutants. Your mutants are her magic, in that sense ]

Same could be said for the mutations in my world. Were they accepted?

[ Well, if ever fails, a girl with secrets is open to another ]

It wasn't really common knowledge. [ See how she fails at this secret thing? ] But a lot of people freaked out. [ Although that can be a combination of 'someone's trying to kill me' as well as the whole world-shattering magic knowledge ]

I'd imagine. Sorry, this is all really fascinating - I'm sorry if all my prying seems a bit odd. Was it learned or was it something that developed naturally?

I can think of odder things. [ Like the situation generally and taking peoples powers?

Okay that's not all that odd to her but generally, to others, it would be ] That one's not exactly a simple question. [ Not when you were born with powers, had them bound and then mystically freed them without knowing it and didn't stick around for much of an explanation. At that point, anyway ] Let's say both. [ She had to learn how to use them even with them being natural ]
