Better late than never, I'd say.

[ Charles has been trying to adjust to life in Asgard. He was pulled out of his world, at the worst possible time only to arrive to the fact - he was void of his telepathy. Adjusting is a work in progress. But he's treating this thing like it was a presentation or a lecture, so he's doing his best to look adequate. Like it's not getting to him. The smile he passes is an easy one. ]

I suppose, it's common courtesy to introduce oneself over the network. My name is Charles Xavier. Before arriving in Asgard, I was a professor of Genetics. I had written a thesis on genetic advancements, mutations. People with gifts. Gifts that were very much so similar to the 'powers' bestowed to us by these gods. Gifts with untapped potential to be the catalyst for a better world.

In Asgard, we are a put at a point - where everyone is put on equal footing. Everyone is in possession of these gifts and we're capable of having peaceful cohabitation. But it does beg the question, before Asgard - was anyone in possession of gifts?

[ Charles gets it. He considers himself a very private man and they have only just met. His curiosity doesn't surpass the need to keep her secrets. And he considers then, that perhaps it's not her secret to share. He gives her an easy going smile. ]

That's perfectly fair. Do take it as a - [ how does he explain this, he takes a moment to think. ] - something for a rainy day in case you ever want someone to talk about it with. I can't ask you to divulge such things when I haven't even asked you for your name. Pardon me, where are my manners?

[gymnast]

It's Allison, and I'll definitely keep that in mind. Thank you. [ For not pushing her to talk about it. She smiles a little. ] And don't worry about not asking for my name right away. It's not like I bothered introducing myself or anything.

[accesses]

Oh, not entirely. It's perfectly rude of me to ignore asking the name of a fine young lady.

[ sorry allison, charles has to charm it's a needddd. ]

Well then, Allison. I'm here if you ever need someone to talk to. So, now that you've gotten me quite curious. Where are you from?

[gymnast]

It's fine. [ She smiles. ] Really.

Beacon Hills? [ It comes out as a question because she's not really expecting him to know where it is. She's mentioned it to a couple people here and no one seems to recognize it. ] It's a town in California.

[accesses]

I can't say I'm familiar. I'm from West Chester, myself.

Do you like it there?

[gymnast]

West Chester, New York?

[ She nods. ] It's actually really nice. My family and I used to move around a lot, but I'm pretty sure we'll be staying in Beacon Hills for a while. [ Hoping is more like it. ]

[accesses]

Yes quite so. Just before arriving I had just been accepted a teaching position in Oxford, however.

How long were you in Beacon Hills?

[gymnast]

Oh, that's awesome! And really convenient, actually, because I was talking to someone kinda recently about seeing if we could get people to start doing classes of some kind. There seems to be a decent amount of teenagers here and quite a few of us actually miss school. [ Which she honestly never expected, but when tossed into an unknown environment and being held hostage, sometimes the little things bring the most comfort. ] Do you think you'd ever be interested in teaching here?

Less than a year. It doesn't really seem like that long, but there are places we stayed in for even less than that.

[accesses]

Really? That's quite the opportunity. I would love to be of any assistance at all. It's absolutely wonderful to see teenagers inspired to learn. If you'd let me guide you, I'd be happy too.

[ he's suddenly rather animated at the idea. ]

You're family moves around quite a bit. Can I ask what they do?

[gymnast]

I definitely would, and I know at least one other girl who'd be interested, too. What do you teach? [ Because that is a little important...

Hunt werewolves. ] My dad's an arms dealer to the police and my mom used to work at a boutique, but she's mostly a stay at home mom now. [ The lie comes just a little uneasily, but hopefully Charles won't notice. ]

[accesses]

Really? I'd love an introduction. I happen to teach genetics, but I could possibly teach a high school version of some science. More likely - biology. Well, it's always nice to see inspired teenagers.

Your family sells weapons? [ Charles doesn't. It's a fault of being able to read one's mind. Charles doesn't have it in him to assume people are lying. ]

[gymnast]

I'll see what I can arrange. I could also ask around and see if anyone else would be interested, if you want. [ Allison doesn't mind organizing this whole thing if it means it'll happen. ] Biology works for me. Not that I'd really turn down anything, but science is at least interesting. [ Unlike other subjects...

She nods. He probably actually does sell to the police, she's never confirmed that, but it's a cover more than anything. ] It's weird, I know.

[accesses]

That'd be spectacular. we could organize something, Allison. I think the cause is good.

[ he gives a low chuckle. ]

I've certainly experienced odder.

[gymnast]

Really? [ She just smiles widely. ] I totally owe you, Charles. ...or should I call you Mr. Xavier instead?

[ Her eyebrows lift slightly. ] Like what?

[accesses]

Just Charles, please. I'll follow you up on this idea if you don't mind.

[ an after thought. ]

The pecan pie in the CIA facilities. Odd thing, that.

[ well shaw definitely ranks higher but one step at a time. ]

[gymnast]

Charles it is, then, and I definitely don't mind.

[ She laughs at that because it's certainly not an answer she was expecting. ] Seriously? Pecan pie?
