[ anyone passing through thor district may find one (1) lancer making conversation with the resident rude snowman-- where 'conversation' means 'a snowman hurls insults while a knight is polite'. ]

I assure you, snowman, my attire was not meant to offend you. [ but no matter what he says, all he seems to get is more comments on how stupid his armor looks... and his hair, too. ] Nor will dumping snow in my hair prove to be a substantial improvement. If you continue to provoke me needlessly, I will be happy to give you a reason to do so.

[ eventually he lasts the five minutes and recieves his reward: and despite everything previously said, he's sure to thank the icy creation sincerely before leaving with the gift. ]

[ shortly after after passing the snowman's 'test', lancer shows up on the network with a wooden box in hand. curiously, he opens it, pulling out his silver mug and jar of tea. ]

... Has anyone else recieved a gift today? [ he already knows he's not the only one, but he's still curious about the variety. ] Whatever their disposition, I believe these snowmen have good intentions. Whether this is some kind of test I cannot say, though it is probably easier to simply hear them out than to try and argue.

[ a beat, and then-- ]

Saber, would you like some tea? [ there's enough here to share, after all. ]

[ a nod on lancer's end. that helped to confirm a suspicion, at least. ] So the gifts are not identical. I suspected as much.

[ he'd already seen one different snowman, but it couldn't hurt to try and figure out the behaviors of as many as he could for future reference. ]

Thank you. I myself received a silver mug and tea, and I have also heard of runes being given out. The gifts all seem to be practical, if not extravagant, so far.

[ a pause. caution was always logical, but-- ] Though rude, the snowman I spoke with gave no indication that he was any sort of threat, and I am yet to hear of any case where violence has occurred. If sent by these gods, they would have no reason to harm us in any way.

[If sent by the gods, indeed. She's still not so certain that would be proof of their innocence, since she isn't convinced of the gods', either.]

Have they been safe too? [Perhaps clarification is necessary.] I'm still not sure whether I should eat what I was given or not. [One isn't supposed to take candy from strangers, after all.]

Maybe. Still I think it might be too early to know for sure. [She stops short of expressing her concern regarding the trustworthiness of the gods, but only at the last moment; that last sentence of his causes her some concern about how such a statement might be received.]

[Snowman, eh? Saber's more than pleased to tell the tale of her encounter with one. She gives a nod of triumph as she adjusts the ornate scarf around her neck.]

Umu! Of course these snow-people have nothing but good intentions! One had approached me, asking if I could be a model for a painting... and I, of course, gave it the honor! After all, it's only natural for a true artist to desire the capture of my radiance!

[She ducks off-screen for a bit, and some shuffling is heard. Seconds later, she shoves a painting (http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110327014520/typemoon/images/6/6e/Theater.png) at the screen.]

Look! See see? Though not as good as my works, it's nonetheless a wonderful masterpiece that it allowed me to keep! And it gave me this exquisite scarf as well! I am truly pleased.

It paints quite well for being made of snow, I must admit. [ and he can picture her posing for ten snowmen if they asked. never let it be said that saber deprived her fans of what they wanted. ] The gifts so far seem rather fitting for their recipients.

I think they're really nice for handing out all of this.

[ oh, hey. having five kids of his own kind of clued lancer in on how to deal with them, so he softens his tone a little and smiles. ]

Indeed they are, when they seem to seek only politeness in return. [ he's figured out that most of the other snowmen are a lot nicer than the one he dealt with. ] May I ask what you received, Miss?

This..! I thought the snowman looked a little sad, since he was asking for something warm, so.. I brought it to him and then he gave me this.

They appear to be rather fitting for those in each district, though none so far have sounded difficult. [ he still isn't sure how a rude snowman suits him, exactly, but he can tell it would be a match for others in thor. that expression does make him curious, however. ] Was your task particularly unusual?

Maybe, I always thought of snowmen as being really cheerful if they came to life. Kind of like in the tales you hear growing up.
