[ video feed on! ...of sena who's looking a little troubled like she's sensing someone's killing intent but can't find the source ]
I would have thought that after the event, the Neighbors Club would have become more high profile and we'd get more praise and interest! But there's been nothing! Even that fox woman is being quiet... I know you're plotting something, you damned Yozora!
Since this network is being incredibly boring, I have a suggestion! Let's all participate in writing a relay novel! Heh if you don't know what a relay novel is, go ahead and beg me to explain! It's not every day that the wisdom of Kashiwazaki Sena is being put at your disposal so be grateful!
[ an undisclosed amount of time later: ]
Stupid... S-since no one has replied yet the network is obviously broken! [ she's looking a little teary-eyed ] That's right! I can't believe the gods made such a defective product like this...
( ooc: a relay novel is basically a round robin. for this post, we can set it up like this thread. we'll have multiple story starters and anyone can just jump in at any time as long as you call your turn. this way sign-ups aren't necessary and if people have to turn in, the thread can just continue!
happy birthday yana!

Aghast at the destruction he had wrought the boy enlisted in the French Foreign Legion and bid farewell to his former life without a word of goodbye to anyone. He travelled the world, had adventure after adventure, but no matter how hard he tried, how exhausted he was, he could not close his eyes at night without the tortured visage of his once bosom companion coming to mind.
Years later, wearied by his travels he came to the realisation that the only answer to his restless conscience was to find his friend and make amends. With the same recklessness and fierce drive for action that had driven him to adopt a baby tiger and to enlist in the legion, he said goodbye to his soldiering friends and returned to his peaceful home, to the shocking discovery that he'd never anticipated -- his friend was no longer there and none knew of his whereabouts.

Thus, with a heavy heart, the boy engages himself in a whole new trip, guided by the desire to meet his best friend again.
The more he travels, the more he learns of stories about a mentally unstable serial killer who founded a group of assassins and laid waste on the whole continent. No attempt to defeat the criminals was effective, and the population decreased by one third before the time the boy came back to his home.
One day, the boy ends up meeting the criminal boss himself... and with utter shock, he realizes it's none other than his old best friend! The incident with the tiger, and the fact his friend abandoned him for the Legion, took a final toll on his sanity. If he could no longer be happy, so will nobody else.

The criminal went on his way, continuing to terrorize but there was something different. The rage that had fuelled his terrible acts seemed to have diminished and instead he grew fickle, making arbitrary demands of his underlings and terrorizing them. However, he soon realised he had new problems. Rumours spread of a strange masked detective, who gathered evidence of his many crimes and even predicted his future outrages! Blocked at every turn, the manic criminal mastermind soon began to see his followers diminish and his powers wane!

The criminal would eventually lose all his allies. His rage being dwindled down, the other assassins refused to stand by his side anymore. One by one, they abandoned him, and once again, he was alone. Not even the women he used to please himself with, wanted to have anything more to do with him. Once again, he was lonely and miserable, with only the depression being his willing companion.
The regret for hurting his best friend would overcome him, but it was too late to try and repair the damage. He'd start drinking again, and leech off the streets within the garbage and stray animals.
... Until one day, just by chance, he'd found a strange sphere inside one of those trash cans...

This is a fantasy tragic story with hints of mystery.

Well if you're going to be like that, the gaudy bauble intrigued the crazed criminal mastermind momentarily. However, the scarred madman could not be distracted from the gravity of his situation for long. He resolved to stake the remains of his underworld reputation on one grand heist that would redeem him and everything his perverted mission stood for.
However, just as before his plans were thrwarted. Surrounded by police with his henchmen already in cuffs, the criminal mastermind found himself at an impasse. The masked detective stood before him and in a raspy voice that sounded strangely, eerily familiar to the master criminal recounted the details of his crimes and the pain he'd wrought in such vivid detail that the heartless criminal was brought to remorse, his hardened criminal mind giving way to the severity of his own actions.
"It is I who wronged," he sobbed breaking down completely. "Forgive me -- my friend?"
"Friend?" said the masked detective. "You are mistaken -- though he lives still. I know, for I have been following you both. I saved him -- for I must beg his forgiveness as well as yours."
The detective removed his mask.
He was -- the tiger!
