I am Daenerys Stormborn, of House Targaryen. I traveled with many of you to the front at Alfheim, though this world remembers my face from a time now lost to me. If we once had dealings in the past I would speak with you of them.

[ Better than bumping into each and every person one at a time, as she's been doing for over a week now. A beat, and she continues. ]

Among you are men and women that claim the Seven Kingdoms their home, to whom my family name and titles are more familiar. Whether you hail from Westeros or the Free Cities and beyond - I make only two simple requests. [ Many of them have already come forward, but there is at least one false name that doesn't match up and one Kingslayer that hasn't shown his face. ] To friends, I ask that you tell me of your time in Asgard. [ Her back and shoulders remain straight, her gaze hardening just a fraction. ] To all others, [ oathbreakers and pretenders alike ] convince me that our cause in this world is truly a common one.

[ And that no blood needs to be spilled on these foreign streets. Their feuds can resume back home where they can be settled and not forgotten.

[ Daenerys bites her lip. Going off alone with someone she only just met, especially if that someone is asking her to meet them in a place that admittedly is for weapon's practice, is not exactly a smart idea. But Sonya has been useful (and kind), she doesn't need to push her away. ]

Another day would be best. I may be here for some time. [ Answering all of this. ]

Do you? [ Oh gods, she thought Stiles was the only one with a dragon. She manages to keep up the smile, barely. ]

What is your dragon's name? [ The girl is only a child. Going to start slowly with this one. ]

[ A reasonable Targaryen? Those don't actually exist, this all might have included a lot more shouting had she done it a week and a half earlier. War tires her. ]

More than I would like. [ And even more back home. Not a number, no, but give her some time. She is still currently sorting through which traitors are less likely to stab her in the back. ] My country is war-torn. Perhaps that is why the gods thought we would make useful soldiers.

[ The name attached to this message gives her pause. Another Stark, but a girl. One Robb Stark would wish to protect?

[ She smiles for the girl, something she wouldn't afford the other Stark. Tell her more. Do they say she baths in the blood of hundreds of virgins, as they do in Slaver's Bay? ]

Ah! His name is Marigold! [At being summoned, a brightly colored dragon flies to Alice's arms.]

This is Marigold! [Deep blue eyes gaze at Daenerys and he nods, remembering her.]

[ Her jaw clenches. What can she do now that he pretends at being reasonable - scream for his blood in public? Accuse him of being a liar again and complain that he began the farce? It only makes her look weak for being tricked in the first place. It is likely what Viserys would do. ]

I will seek your blood where it matters. [ The words are acid on her tongue. ] This battlefield is not the place. [ Not here, where they can be brought back to life over and over and over (that would truly make the city a Hell). Not the place, not unless he makes it one. In Westeros she will find him. ]

The gray only effects this city, no where else and the giants seem to be immune to it. In fact, I'm pretty sure it was one of the giant's leaders that cast this curse, even if I don't have solid proof.

He'd rather die again.] And that my father wouldn't poison King Robert, either. They were friends, great ones, and he would never do such a thing to his king, to his friend. As far as I know, King Robert Baratheon died while hunting, killed by a boar.

[She looks at Dany with more respect than she would ever feel for Joffrey or Cersei, but she needs to be wary. She is a Targaryen, after all. What if she's as crazy as the Mad King.]

[ Her mouth twists at friends - but the boar claim matches what Ser Barristan Selmy had seen, and though her old knight often has too much pity for the Eddard Stark's fate, it is likely the closest tale to the truth. ]

What do you mean to do with one of your father's killers, as you name this boy? Leave him be? Seek your vengeance? [ Do you have that much restraint, Robb Stark? He makes sweet promises, but beyond that and his bad blood there is still not enough that she knows about him. ]

I'll be frank, Daenerys. In this place it would especially be prudent to learn a form of weaponry. It doesn't have to be a pistol, it could be throwing knives-hell, a sword even-but this place isn't always safe and...well, from what I've been reading, not everyone you know here is an ally.
