VIDEO | DAY 386 (A WHILE AFTER SKULD'S POST)
[The feed opens in a Sigyn park, before it pans up. The bracelet appears to be Souji's, and Ellie is sitting close by on a bench, wearing a strange plant-like clothing. Sandy is using her as a pillow. There is a No Voldemort / Tom Riddle allowed sign painted next to everything.
Souji waves as the screen, with a half-grin, looking much more serious than usual. Despite the preparations, he's not usually the one doing the first introductions in a group, Yosuke usually did. There's so much to speak about too...]
Hello. [That's a good way to start right?] My name is Souji Seta. This is Ellie-kun and Sandy-san... [He points to them and pans the view a little before returning to him.] ...we're from house Sigyn.
All three of us have the Growth ability and we've been working on creating different types of armors based on plant life. Normally, I wish we would have had more time to prepare before showing it to you, but if you've seen Skuld Denka's post, then you know there's a crisis right now and her people need rescuing.
[His eyes narrow as he continues.]
I can't speak for everyone, but I personally don't like the idea of anyone dying to save others. It's my hope that with the armor, it will aid us to stand our ground and save her people. But we can't do it alone. We'll need everyone's help.
[Behind Souji, Ellie gets to her feet, causing Sandy to fall with a little thump onto the grass proper. She checks him, then moves into view of the camera -- she appears to be wearing a vest made of bamboo pieces, reinforced with a sleek, shinier type of wood over her heart and neck. She turns to show the camera the full effect.]
Souji came up with these armor pieces, and we can hand a lot of them out if we get some help. This is really basic, but we've got some cooler stuff if you're gonna go right into battle-
[Oi, Sandman down.
Sandy, who had been previously beginning to doze off, was brought back to reality rather rudely. He sits up and gives Ellie a disapproving frown--who said you could move, Miss Pillow?--and then crawls a little ways away and curls into a little gold ball on the grass, apparently uncaring of the fact he was being seen by everyone on the network. After getting comfortable, he gestures for Ellie to continue, to show them the other parts.
And then he rests his head on his arms, looking very much like he just dozed off again, when in reality he's listening to everything being said.]
-and, okay, Sandy says go ahead, so here it goes.
[Ellie appears to focus deeply, and holds her arms out in front of her. With a thick crackling sound, more armor grows into place, forming a longer skirt, shoulder and arm plates, gloves, and more reinforced wood. In the back you may hear the faint sound of someone clapping (that's Souji)]
We figure this can be worn by anybody going up against the fire giants. Problem is, it's sort of made of plants, and we didn't exactly bank on that when we were designing it. So it needs some work.
[Souji steps back to the front again, nodding.]
The bamboo is flammable, but the harder pieces are made with Lignum Vitae. It's a very hard wood that can survive temperatures higher than most metals! However it's much harder to grow in large quantities like bamboo. So we're limiting the amount of armor we can make full scale with it. For most of you, we can offer the bamboo and smaller lignum pieces covering the vital areas as extra protection to whatever you are planning on wearing when going.
We don't have much time either. It requires Growth users with a good amount of experience, and it drains us quickly, so we'll need the help of those who can aid us tonight and tomorrow before we leave...Sigyn, Heimdall, Freya and Freyr house members especially since we'll need to keep ourselves as charged as long as possible, and we could use those who can make drawings come to life aid us in applying extra pieces to those armors much easier.
Anyone who is planning on going to fight is welcomed to come meet us so we can make a stronger suit for you. [He then opens a bag he has draped over his shoulder, taking out a few leaves.] We'll be providing leaves for the healers in the form of pouches with plants we've grown such as aloe. If other houses could help us create those pouches, it would be appreciated. If anyone else also has items, potions or tools that could aid the healers, we could make efficient packs for them to carry in battle.
[He looks up for a bit before speaking again.]
I understand that it's a lot of information to take in in such short time.
But the armor does make one thing clear; if we combine our powers together, we can truly accomplish great things. I couldn't have done this without the help of Sandy-san and Ellie-kun. Not just for our house, but everyone else's as well.
The power that you gain from working with others can allow all of us to surpass our own limitations. And no matter what happens, we're never alone. Don't forget that.... [That's Souji for you.] If you'd like to meet us to help, we're at (insert address for park in Sigyn here. Please use your imagination) and we'll be spending the rest of the day.

[Suddenly, the gold ball that had been lying unobtrusively on the grass uncurls and Sandy sits up, looking bright and alert as ever. This is a part that he feels the need to verbally (so to speak) contribute to. He nods in agreement, then his fingers glow before he fingerpaints the air.
He draws a silhouette of a person reading a book with plants growing out of it, then an arrow pointing to a sword crossed over a shield and a trophy besides it.
It's hard to take in, yes. Everything about Asgard can be hard to take in. But people had to learn how to deal with their powers and war situations if they hoped to save their respective worlds.]
[As Sandy gestures with the light runes, Ellie automatically jumps in to translate.]
What he means is that we're going to have to learn to fight, if we wanna win this war and keep everybody safe. It's important.
And we shouldn't do it alone. Anyone who has growth powers...we should be all working together.
[Sandy smiles warmly at Ellie and Souji both, then waves his hand through his pictures, wiping them away from the air before pointing to himself before drawing a little teacher's cap in the air and positioning himself so it looks like he's wearing it. Then, as if to prove a point, a vine climbs from the ground and starts to form a complex shape next to him. It's in the shape of an open book with pictures of leaves in it, and he mimes tracing his fingers over the edges of the leaves.
Teach. He knows how to deal with magic, and he knows how to apply Growth powers creatively. If anyone finds themselves at a loss for how to use their Growth--or really, any kind of power--to benefit themselves and the war effort, he's happy to teach and give pointers.]
[And Souji actually knows what that means, so he'll say it even if it's self-explanatory.]
Sandy-san and Ellie-kun have been teaching me how to progress with my own powers. He's offering that knowledge to everyone in our house. [BY OUR POWERS COMBINED.]
It goes for our Healers tool. If someone wants to join us and take an initiative, we can all teach and improve together.
The more we work together, the more powerful we will be, and protect those around us.

[Ellie swallows hard, and carefully turns the torch on. Very carefully, she moves the tip of the flame closer.]
Yell if you feel something.

[ She holds still, and can hear the hiss of flame on metal... but doesn't feel anything. A few moments more and: ]
It's warm. Not hot, though, are you staying in one spot?

[Without taking her eyes from the spot on the armor, she starts to grin. This actually might work.]

[ Claudia keeps counting, waiting for the burn to reach her... It does get hotter, uncomfortably so, but they've passed the two minute mark by the time the metal has begun glowing and she feels the sting of real heat, the kind that might actually burn, and the sensation of something moving against her chest. She takes a hand off the piece she's guarding her face with and gestures for Ellie to stop. ]
Down, girl! Two minutes nine...
[ Checking for damage, the metal is intact and cooling, but the armor feels different where the flame touched. Thinner? When they get her out of it they'll see that the plants beneath the torched spot are what shriveled up and burned, leaving the wearer with no insulation from the heat. Claudia fussed with the burnt edges, considering. ]

She pulls away and turns off the torch, flapping her hand with a low whistle before she gets a good look at the damage.]
Shit, you might be able to actually be on fire and be able to put it out without a whole lot of damage. You're awesome at this.
[Ellie gives the vest a little poke, and the plants grow right back, as if the burn were never there at all.]

As long as they aren't unconscious, one sheet should be fine to keep the plant layer from burning. I think this'll work really well for whoever doesn't get the lignum vitae armor.
[ She watches Ellie repair the plants and her smile widens. ]
You're not bad, yourself. How'd you guys come up with that wood, anyway?

[Depending on how much, this could be some very effective protection for the front lines.]

[Ellie positively lights up. She really can't take credit.]
I guess it's a kind of tree that grow normally, but I've never heard of it. Sandy's older than just about anybody here, he knows all kinds of stuff.

Growth's the best power there is, but that's just me. If we start back into a war zone, energy transfer will be a huge thing we'll need.

He's kind of like a nasty-tasting medicine. Sucks to deal with, but you need to do it, and actually helpful.
