I hope everyone is alright. And I hope those who left the city for a while enjoyed their time. [ "Hippie camp", that's what Samantha called it. Which brings the obvious question: ] What are hippies?

[ but either way, the point of this post is something else ]

I am also curious and would like to know if any of you knows anything about beings by the name of "Angels". The version you know from your world, at least. What you know about them, if they exist or if they are just stories. Anything you'd remember.

[ and now that is out of the way, finally there is another question. It has been a while since he has been philosophical, right? ]

And- if you don't mind answering, tell me: how many people know you? People that really know you, beyond your favorite color, favorite book or favorite song. Who knows what lurks in the depths of your mind, what captivates your soul and why? Who knows your passions, your fears, your desires? Who knows all these things about you and still accepts you, anyway? Still accepts you regardless.

kaworu is quite literal too. He doesn't know how not to be literal with nearly everything. ]

My kind - none of us matters individually. To live or die, it doesn't matter. And when one dies, another will replace it until there is none of us left.

My world is a terrible place.

[Here is far more peaceful and far safer, despite the war. Kaworu's answer to his last question is sad, but not at all a surprise; it's the one Castiel is expecting, actually, because it's one he's familiar with.]

[ he doesn't find it sad. it finds it's- natural. It's the way it is. ]

Yes. I realize you are capable of much. [ at least from what he learned about the Angels in Castiel's world, they fit more as "Lilim". Capable of growth and change ]

[ it's not entirely true. While kaworu has a lot of difficulty in creating something, he has indeed created a very small tune on the piano once. Though, it was just once. ]

[Even if he wanted to, he was sure he couldn't. He couldn't even die and stay dead; there's no way he could walk away from everything even if he wanted to do so, and he didn't. Not truly.]

Are you certain, or is that simply what you've been told for so long?

[They weren't allowed creative expression either, but that doesn't mean they're not capable of it. Castiel's friends and wife have been gently encouraging it in him, and he's surprised himself with being capable at all.]

We have never been told anything. There is no one to tell us anything. It's the way things are. [ though Kaworu knows more because his soul belongs to the Mother of all Angels, but it's not like he has ever told any of his siblings (yes, he is the Mother AND a son at the same time) anything. They never even met. ]

I did create, once. But that was because I wanted to make someone happy. [ he didn't do it for himself or for the angels ] And I think i was only able because this body is human.

Because if even one person can be saved, it is worth trying.

Your world and mine are different, so I cannot truly argue with you. But I find it difficult to believe you truly cannot create.

Can you lie?

[ Kaworu tilts his head curiously ] We don't see why we should. There is no need for that.

Yes. One life is not worth more than another simply because they are someone I know.

Lying requires creativity of a sort.

Would you keep the same opinion if you had to choose between a stranger and one of those people that you love and know you the most?

it depends on the lie, I suppose. I can't make up something; if you ask me if the sky is green, I can lie and "yes". [ but it really doesn't require imagination ]

The opinion would still be the same. Being selfish doesn't change that.

[Just because he'd choose someone he cared for doesn't mean he doesn't know all lives are worth the same.]

So if I did something like asking you where you were at a time, you could not make up an answer that is untrue?

[ Kaworu blinks, for a moment ] Selfish? [ he never thought about calling it selfish. He knows he'd kill in order to protect the people he loves. If that's selfish or not, he doesn't know and probably doesn't care; it's more instinctive than something Kaworu thinks about ]

It's more complicated than that. I could tell you I was in Austria, because I know a place called Austria. I could not lie about what I did there, however, because I have never been there. [ Basically, he can't make up things that didn't happen or don't exist ]

Choosing one person over another simply because of what they mean to you is inherently selfish.

[Not that he cares, because he'll pick someone he loves over someone he doesn't ever time and without hesitation.]</small. Oh. That is interesting.

it's the way it is. But there is no need for me to lie. [ he honestly never did. He omits things, but doesn't lie ]

I believe so, yes.

I never thought there would be reason for me to do so either.

Usually because I believe do so will protect myself or someone I care for.

Sometimes. Sometimes it has just made things worse.

So is it worth it?

I don't know. I believe it would be if I were better at figuring out when to use it.

Is the truth that painful that you ought to keep it from others? Shouldn't it be their decision to run away from that truth or not?

That is usually not the situation. Normally, that is the occasion in which it is not as helpful as desired.
